In Andrew Grey’s Auction Action, we see a departure from what we normally see from Andrew Grey and delved into a D/S themed novella. Both Frederick and Duncan are strong and intelligent men but I believe with the length of this, we didn’t get as much development as we usually do with the typical Andrew Grey novel.
There was an interesting dynamic, especially with how short Frederick was and how tall and masculine I pictured Duncan to be. Frederick is a whirlwind despite his height. He knows how to get what he wants and knows how to give others what they want.

I feel as though this novel was more about sex between the two men then the actual relationship. It felt very rushed. I like my romance, even D/S romance a little more drawn out with interaction between the characters and how they talk and establish boundaries and trust in each other.

Would I recommend this book to others? Usually with Andrew Grey it’s an automatic yes. This I would say, if you need something to pass about thirty minutes of time and a quick escape. Sure. It’s not one I’m raving but it’s decent.

This was 1-60 in record time - trice!

The first was from the second Frederick and Duncan laid eyes on each other to when they end up in bed together.

The second time is when Duncan goes from having never had sub/dom sexual liasons to him completely submissing and having complete trust in a stranger.

The final time is the pair going from strangers to being in love and planning a future together.

The pace was way too quick for my liking, and I didn't get the necessary basis for believing their love.

The writing is superficial. Everything is told, and nothing is felt. This just contributed to my inability to believe their love - and even lust - for each other.
