Overall I enjoyed Just One Look- the story line was unique & the characters strong & independent. What woman wouldn't have a total melt down if they were in the OGBYN's office & their first love came in. I did think the rouse of Jennifer needing Matt to help her stop being sexually frustrated went on a bit too long. And Jennifer went from being mad at Matt for years to totally ok with everything n the space of a page.

Just One Look is a good read but could have benefited from some more editing.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Jennifer Monroe is shocked to discover the locum gynecologist is her high school sweetheart, Matt Penrose. Fortunately he doesn’t recognise her but pursues her after she flees the surgery. His attempts to help her ‘neurosis’ lead her to try to get her revenge for his slight of her when she was 14. Things escalate as they each try to get their own back leading to an explosive ending. I thought it was fun but perhaps got a bit far fetched towards the end.

This is a funny story about a female psychologist Dr. Jennifer Monroe who goes for her gynecologist appointment and finds out that her regular doctor is on vacation. She will be seen by her doctor’s new doctor. Only that when she is told the name Penrose she dismisses it because her crush from high school had the same name but it could not be him. When he walks in and she recognizes him she grabs her cloths and flees the area. This now begins her avoiding his calls. That is until a charity ball and wouldn’t you know it he is there. Once he tracks her down and begins to talk to her she realizes that he still does not remembers her and he thinks that she has a sexual hang-up. Going with his story she asks for his help and to keep it hush, hush because she would not want her colleagues to find out. Here is when the story funny part begins to overtake and it really does become a comedy until you get towards the end. Overall this is a good book with good characters.

A sexy romp of a romantic comedy where payback is smoking hot and funny!

This was the first book that I have read by this author and I loved this book. It was romance, comedy, snarkiness, and just plan great all in one book. The main characters get up to some heavy teasing and sexual innuendo that will have the reader squirm and laugh out loud and want more.

Looking forward to more books by Joan Reeves!

Fun second chance at love romance

Joan Reeves did a great job with this humorous take on this sexy second chance at romance. Jennifer and Matt were together in high school until misunderstandings and distance separated them. Their cute "meet" years later was a great starting point for this couple that's meant to be together. Well written with some fun secondary characters this was a very upbeat enjoyable read.
I received an advance reader copy from Netgalley and chose to leave a review.

This was a fun little read what would you do if you went to see your gynecologist and the guy filling in was your high school crush well you panic and run away that's what Jennifer does when Matt walks in.Although this was a hilarious read i did struggle with the fact that Jennifer acted so immature she is supposed to be a psychologist after all.Other than that this was a great read it had me chuckling most of the way through.

I enjoyed this book, although it was a bit of a slow starter. Jennifer and Matt were Characters that were written very well, I enjoyed their Bantor and quirky personalities. I wish the story went into a little more of their relationship, and maybe was a bit longer. I wasn't happy with the ending. I felt it was abrupt. Maybe an Epilogue would have helped.

This was the first book that I have read by this author and I loved this book. It was romance, comedy, snarkiness, and just plan great all in one book. When Jennifer realizes that her crush from High school is her new gynecologist she takes of as soon as she can. What follows is nothing short of awesome. Thank you for allowing me to read this and write a review.

Jennifer is at her OB/GYN waiting for her annual exam when her crush from high school, Matt, enters the examination room. In a panic, she leaves the office and is happy that she'll never have to run into him again. Fate, alas, has other ideas. As the story progresses, we find out why Jennifer had a bad high school experience with Matt. The icing on the cake for Jennifer is that Matt doesn't even remember her! And so begins a comedy of errors, revenge, plotting, and matchmaking.

Of course, Matt is gorgeous and just as wonderful, if not more so, than high school. Jennifer is a psychologist who seems to be a little immature to plot Matt's demise. As usual, the ending left me a little confused. I thought that I had missed a chapter, but book endings are so rushed lately that I felt like something was missing.

A fairly quick read for a rainy afternoon if you are looking for a book that is lighthearted.
