I really enjoyed the first book.
The second one was just as exciting as the first book - THE DRAMA IN THIS BOOK IS ON POINT. I adore the plot of this and I will forever ship Emmaline and Grayson together.
I took a while to start the second book and it took me long to read this one even though I'm generally a really fast reader.
There were a few moments where I didn't fully connect with the story. The plot felt a bit dragged out once or twice but I quickly got back into the story.

A decent read but overall the BDSM parts didn't ring true in my opinion. Emmaline truly has gone through so much that your heart really does break for her. I hated the way she treated Grayson even though all he wanted was to be there for her but its understandable considering her past. A heart wrenching read.

I did not think this story could get any crazier! Poor, strong Emmalin. She has been through so much and now she has to face even more horrible obstacles. I have fallen hard for her and Grayson and want to see them succeed. I recommend that you read this series. Just to warn you, there are things in this book that are triggering and may make some people uncomfortable. I was not bothered, but I thought I would let readers know! This is the second book in the series, so I am off to find out what happens next!

Note: this book is for 18+ and includes sexual content

I literally could not put the book down. It’s contents kept me intrigued for the duration of reading it. I must say I was quite content and pleased and it definitely is an interesting novel of its genre.
Thank you for affording me the chance to read this awesome novel and good luck with your future endeavours.

There was a lot of time between me reading book 1 and book 2, and I think that probably led to some of my mixed feelings about this, as I had a hard time getting back into the story. I didn't want to do a re-read, so I just re-read my review and other reviews of Book 1 to try to catch up. So, as mentioned - mixed feelings. I definitely warmed more to Grayson's asshole/barbarian ways (because apparently I lurve asshole/barbarians). He truly did just love and want to protect Emmalin. He was just kind of warped in the way he went about things. While a good f*ck is always appreciated, it really shouldn't be a tool for getting someone to behave!!! Emmalin I absolutely wanted to punch in the ovaries!! So many secrets, lies, hiding....gaah, she frustrated me. There was more frustration than enjoyment, thus the 3 star rating. This is one of those stories that probably is best to try to read in one go when it's all finished rather than waiting in between installments. And note to authors - if you are going to take a story and make it a series, a "recap" is an awesome idea. I have thousands of books on Mount To Be Read - and I don't want to have to to a re-read just to ensure I do your storyline justice! Even if I live to be 300, I won't make it through all the books I want to read, let alone have to re-read some of them. Not gonna happen!!

Maybe because I hadn't read book one in a while, but I couldn't get into this. I found the characters a little flat, and the twists and turns a bit expected. Sadly can't recommend.

This is the second book in a series and picks up right where the first left off. You do need to read Incapable to truly understand this book. Emmalin and Grayson continue their relationship. They both have issues in their background but Emmalin's are extreme. She continues to hide things and push Grayson away. He is more mature in this book, and affirms she cannot do anything to push him away! Again there are more triggers, so buyer beware. Although I liked this book better, I found myself truly angry with Emmalin. Her actions create much of the grief in this book. This book also ends in a cliffhanger and it is very far fetched - we'll see! I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I did not have high expectations for this book judging from how the first book ended. This book did nothing to sway me otherwise. I am sorry to say that this series was not for me. The characters were still immature. Emmalin was still running away and Grayson still chased after her. A lot of things that happened to her was self-inflicted. She kept getting things done to her by a person with a vendetta due to the fact she did not think.

I understand she wanted to be independent and do things her own way, but if she would have just told someone her plans then that person would have talked some sense into her. I also did not understand her being mad at Grayson for taking care of her. Before she had him, she was broke, barely had a job, and in debt. She was worried that he was going to get tired of her, but he continually conveyed that he was not going anywhere. He kept stating this in the first book. She kept saying she had nothing of her own. She did have something...DEBT. Even if he did get tired of her, she was able to leave with a fresh start. She was just too prideful and weak. I came to this conclusion due to the fact that she had a trust of 7.25 million dollars left to her by her stepfather. But she did not want to touch it because she considered it blood money. She was poor and could not afford her medications because she was prideful. That did not make sense to me at all.

There was not really a connection with these characters. Sex was a filler in this story. Sex was the answer to all their problems. They were mad, sex. They were happy, sex. She was depressed, sex. There was no substance to this book. I did not care about what happens to them and their story. And what is so bad is there is a third installment about Emmalin and Grayson. The author should have written a book about another character. I cannot recommend this book and I will not read the third installment.

*I received an ARC from Netgalley for an honest review. All reviews are my own opinions.*

I loved the first one but at times this seemed a little over the top. I loved it though and thought the storyline was well laid out and followed through. I really am not a fan of cliff hangers and multiple books for one story especially a good size book. But I wanted to keep reading. Not for the quick read or easy read. You have to have time dedicated to reading the story with no distractions. But it is well worth it

I couldn't even finish this one. No at all up my alley.

What I liked about this book is that it picked up where the first book left off. It carried the same strengths and same boldness between Emmelin and Grayson. The peaks and valleys kept me on my toes and the characters had me strung out and waiting on more. The love that Grayson has for Emmelin was more pronounced in this part of their story. The writing is strong and true and makes this a very enjoyable book.

OMG! Talk about an intense ride! This second book starts out with a bang! You hear Grayson listening to the doctor and your left wondering what the heck happened? Then you begin to explore just exactly what happened. After learning about each others secrets, Grayson and Emmalin try and move forward towards love, but Emmalin's past catches up with her. All of her hopes and dreams come crashing around her. Sometimes a man can't resque the girl quite in time. As Grayson and Emmalin try and deal with the aftermath, you think they can finally live happily ever after. All is not quite as it seems. Now onto book three! Can't wait!

The continuation of Emmalin and Grayson's story is hot, action packed and emotional; so just perfect! These two dig deeper in this story, and there are twists and turns that will leave you breathless and saying omg!! Well done, and I can't wait to see what happens next!

Unjustly Destroyed by Marie Skye, book two in the Incapable series. I enjoyed the characters in this series. The books are erotic but still have a strong storyline. The author knows how to pull you into the story from the first page. I look forward to reading more in the series and more book by the author.

Sexy, rich, alpha male meets strong willed, smart beautiful woman. Lots of angst and steamy sex. This is the first book I've read by the author Marie Skye and I was blown away. This is a highly steamy dark romance with plenty sex so it's probably not for those that like romance on the sweeter side.

Not one of my books that I recall what had actually happened.

Intense. Dark with many triggers. And cliffhangers suck.

This book is something else. It is definitely a part 2 from book 1 so you must read the first book to even follow this.

This read is intense and if you have ANY trigger emotions with violence, rape, forceful situations, etc., this is not the book or series for you.

Grayson enamored himself to me more in this book and Emmalin really annoyed me more. Hiding secrets and situations made the journey worse and then the author gave us another cliffy. Ugh.

Loaded with hella hot sex scenes and the suspense of the plot made this book. With plenty of twists, the author definitely stepped up with this story. Now on to book 3.
