This is a story of an ordinary and amazing woman who followed her dreams. Amy did not fit the mould for the average competitive female cyclist. In her 30’s she left, what she thought was her dream job to pursue a career in the world of competitive cycling.
I made quite a few comments and notes as I worked my way through this book. This was to remind me how far I have come in my own sport and assist in maintaining a positive focus when it all seems like a waste of time. I needed the reminder I am not alone in my struggles as a mature age athlete and develop a stronger belief in myself. Amy shows nothing about achieving goals is easy and it will require you to step outside of your comfort zone so be prepared.
There were many things I enjoyed about this book including the photo of the lightening strike at the end of the road.
An absolutely positive, amazing and inspirational book. Easy to read and tips relative to any sport, work and, for some, daily life. I particularly recommend this to any one contemplating giving up. Don’t do it until after you finish this book ……..if you do it at all!
Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for a free digital copy of this great read in return for an honest review.

An inspirational read. Interspersed with the story of how the author cracked the world of professional cycling at a relatively late age are tips to boost your own productivity and resilience. Thanks NetGalley!
