This was a cute story! I love reading about tree houses, and this one was built for a noble cause!. The illustrations were so homey! Loved all the little animals, even the braggy one! Kids will love this story; it's a good one!

This is an uplifting story of how Paisley Rabbit improved so many lives in a very creative way. She showed creativity, determination, and hard work. As a teacher, I like that this book's main character is a girl, since a building contest would be stereotypically for boys (something mentioned in the book). Moreover, she is in a single-parent family where the mother has a very sick child, so Paisley does not have an adult at home to help her with her plan, yet she did not let it deter her.

The illustrations to this book are undeniably stunning, some of the most detailed and beautiful illustrations I have seen in a long time.
The story has a lot to live up to and for me it didn't live up to the quality of the illustrations. I liked the sentiment of the story about a girl taking things upon herself to do big things but I felt it was missing something. I didn't really warm to Paisley and the characterisation didn't speak to me as a strong female character, proving that a girl could achieve anything even without a dad's help.
The brother character David, doesn't really seem essential to the plot and his inclusion feels a little forced - it almost feels as if his story should be a separate book.
For the illustrations I would give this book five stars - I didn't hate the story or love it and if you love beautiful things the book is worth buying for the illustrations alone.

First let me just say how astounding the artwork of this book is! Every page is so beautifully mastered and the book nerd in me appreciated the custom library up top! I noticed it before I even read the proceeding page about it. Look out Belle, Paisley Rabbit might have stolen the award for the best literary library!
The story was full of morals and feel good emotions. I was pleasantly surprised by how Paisley went about collecting the funds and resources for her tree house. I would read this book to my children on numerous occasions and do recommend it to everyone looking for a new book.

The illustrations are stunning -- seriously high quality work. A cute story with good morals where the patient thinker/planner wins the day. I understand the personal connection with this story, but I thought the young brother's illness could have been left more vague. But it doesn't detract from the story. I think some explanation of the planning stage (explaining more about the investors, etc.) would have benefited from an earlier exposition. I wondered where the cash came from, and it wasn't well explained until later. But, again, those illustrations. Wow.
