Right from the beginning I knew this was the book for me even though I am 30 it was important to read. I actually feel like that feel like this book could be beneficial at any age. It teaches you the importance of the soul rather that the materialistic things.

I'm a 42 year old Mom looking to understand my 24 year old Son a tiny bit better. And after reading this book I do. I knew before reading that my 20's were different then his 20's, but it really is a whole new world. I appreciate that the Author's writing style is conversational and encourages stillness, solitude and prayer. This is a book I know my Son would read because like most young adults, he wants to improve himself and be the best person he can. He wants to make a difference and change the world and....yeah you get the picture.
While reading I was reminded of an old saying that you can't stuff a new car, job, dress....(you can fill in the blank) into a God shaped hole and expect magically everything will be better. I was thrilled to see that this Author was not afraid to just come right out and say hey, you need to slow down, figure out who you are (not your Insta and FB stats) I'm talking Soul here.
This would be a beneficial book to any young adult looking for a path of substance instead of just spinning their wheels.

Surviving the Twenties Transformation: Empower Your Soul and Change Your Life by K. L. Martin is a book that shows you the importance of following your soul rather than reaching for material things. There is an emphasis on God a.d prayer. There is also an emphasis on solitude and listening to your inner voice.

This was an interesting book and it caught me from the beginning. I do wish however that there had been a bit more of a guide or practices one could do to hear one's soul. Overall, it was a good quick read.

I would like to thank the author and publisher for providing me with a review copy in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion of it.
