No one expects to enter the future in the meat section of their community supermarket. Yet, since reading this remarkable book I've not walked through my local grocery without wondering if this is where we begin.

Garth Hallberg tells a charming tale of love and loss, parent-child relationships, the dynamics of aging, and workplace anxiety. He does so while also introducing economic truths and the coming automation revolution. As statistically improbable as that might sound, he does so without ever coming across as preachy or political, luring you in and showing up ways to fundamentally think differently. Well written, lighthearted, and thought-provoking. I loved this book and recommend it to people scared as hell about the future, as well as those deliriously oblivious to the changes up ahead. Read it. You'll feel smarter, maybe even prepared.
