This collection of 2018 Spring/Summer Buzz Books is THE.BEST.EVER. It has many captivating, interesting excerpts and a wide variety of books for every kind of audience and genre. The editors have a special knack for knowing what will be the next buzzy books of the season! I am especially looking forward to Our House by Louise Candlish, Good Luck with That by Kristan Higgins, How Hard Can it Be by Allison Pearson, All the Beautiful Lies by Peter Swanson, Sometimes I Lie by Alice Feeney, and The Perfect Mother by Aimee Molloy. I also LOVE the Spring/Summer 2018 Publishing Preview list. You can pretty much build your 2018 TBR list from these books – the best books are all there!

Thanks very much for making these Buzz Books guides available! This edition (like the others) has a great selection of titles to sample, and I'm looking forward to reading the full books. I also appreciate the NetGalley links at the end of the samples as well as the publicists' contact information.

Always great to look at these books. Of course, lots of fabulous reading ahead. I am especially looking forward to some of my favorites, like the new Beatriz Williams.

For those of you not familiar with Buzz Books, this collection gives you a glimpse of what will be on the shelves in the coming months. Some include a “sneak peek” type preview of the story, a “sample.” Others include just enough information to add it to your shelves. There is a separate book for each of the two annual books (Spring / Summer and Fall / Winter), as well as a separate book for those looking for Young Adult books.

Debut books include 11 “promising” debuts, including one debut fiction by a bestselling non-fiction writer, Aimee Molloy The Perfect Mother., a novel that has already been optioned for film by Kerry Washington (in case you’re interested, GoodReads is currently having a giveaway for this.) Featured debut authors include Luke Allnutt, Alice Feeney, Jane Rosenberg LaForget, and Zoje Stage.
Best-selling authors with new fiction include Kristan Higgins, Chris Offutt, Ottessa Moshfegh, and lots and lots of others.

In non-fiction, there are several memoirs, one about fighting in the Yemeni Civil War (Mohammed Al Samawi’s ”The Fox Hunt”), another about running away to the circus (Tessa Fontaine’s ”The Electric Woman”), one by Boston Globe’s ‘Love Letters’ columnist (Meredith Goldstein’s ”Can’t Help Myself”), another by a neuroscientist (Barbara Lipska, ”The Neuroscientist Who Lost Her Mind”), and yet another which is about a recently divorced, heartbroken veterinarian who connects with an orphaned baby hedgehog – a “life-affirming story of a man and his hedgehog” (Massimo Vacchetta’s - with Antonella Tomaselli – ”A Handful of Happiness”

This includes far too many others to go into, so I’d recommend you check it out yourself, but ones I’m hoping for a chance to read, or am curious about the ones that follow.

Julian Barnes, ”The only Story”
Lauren Groff, ”Florida”
Otessa Moshfegh, ”My Year of Rest and Relaxation”
Anna Quindlen, ”Alternate Side”
Curtis Sittenfeld, ”You think It, I’ll Say It”
Meg Wolitzer, ”The Female Persuasion”
Jonathan Evison, ”Lawn Boy”
Chris Offutt, ”Country Dark”
Hannah Pittard, ”Visible Empire”
Tom Rachman, ”The Italian Teacher”
Penelope Lively, ”Life in the Garden”

So many wonderful books coming out this spring/summer! Once again, my interest is renewed in the ARC's I already have, and now my TBR has expanded by half a dozen.

Wow! This is a fantastic addition to my other helpful guides... A fandabidosi biannual treat for me as always - for books I already have on my radar = additional information such as the publisher, expected publication dates etc and a MAHOOSIVE 45(!!!) individual excerpts most of which were new to me.

I generally use this along with the latest LibraryReads and IndieNext Booklists for a look at the latest upcoming releases. I then add all the ones I am interested in reading to my notebook and/or request them on NetGalley.

Terrific chance to take a quick look at some upcoming books AND to view the calendar for releases. Happy they've abandoned the monthly and have gone back to the longer term.

As usual, Buzz Books fills me with excitement about the season of reading to come. I particularly enjoyed the excerpt for Between Earth and Sky by debut author Amanda Skenandore.

Thank you so much for these samples! I'm still picking my way through because there are so many in this one, but I've already made note of several titles I must read in full. I can't wait!
