WINTER INSTITUTE IN A BOOK
Our biannual Buzz Books captures all the excitement of the American Booksellers Association’s Winter Institute and takes it much further. Start off a year of new reading discoveries with substantial excerpts from 40 talked about Buzz Books due to be published in the months ahead. At the end of most excerpts, you will find a link to the full galley on NetGalley!
Be among the first to get a taste of new fiction from major bestselling authors including Allison Pearson’s follow up to I Don’t Know How She Does It and beloved romance writer Kristan Higgins’ work of general fiction, Good Luck with That. Samples from award-winning literary authors include Chris Offutt, with his first novel in 20 years, Country Dark; Ottessa Moshfegh with My Year of Rest and Relaxation; bestselling nonfiction author Sheila Heti’s Motherhood, and Peter Swanson’s thriller All the Beautiful Lies.
The new Buzz Books shines a light on 11 promising debuts. Bestselling nonfiction author Aimee Molloy’s forthcoming novel The Perfect Mother already has been optioned for film by Kerry Washington. Accomplished comic book writer Charles Soule writes a novel that is part comedy, part thriller, The Oracle Year. Other featured debut authors include Luke Allnutt, Alice Feeney, Jane Rosenberg LaForge, and Zoje Stage.
Our fascinating nonfiction section is filled with memoir this time around. In The Fox Hunt, Mohammed Al Samawi describes fighting in the Yemeni Civil War before fleeing to the United States while Tessa Fontaine’s The Electric Woman is about running away to join the circus.
Regular readers know that each Buzz Books collection is filled with early looks at titles that will go on to top the bestseller lists and critics' "best of the year" lists. And our comprehensive seasonal preview starts the book off with a curated overview of hundreds of notable books on the way later this year.

Such fantastic selections! I cannot wait to read the full novels!!
I’m always excited to see these previews. It is so helpful to me in deciding what galleys to request !
My TBR stack always grows by so much with every edition of this! I love reading the excerpts and I usually end up reading a handful of these. Thank you!
So many wonderful books coming out this spring/summer! Once again, my interest is renewed in the ARC's I already have, and now my TBR has expanded by half a dozen.
As usual, Buzz Books fills me with excitement about the season of reading to come. I particularly enjoyed the excerpt for Between Earth and Sky by debut author Amanda Skenandore.
Wow! This is a fantastic addition to my other helpful guides... A fandabidosi biannual treat for me as always - for books I already have on my radar = additional information such as the publisher, expected publication dates etc and a MAHOOSIVE 45(!!!) individual excerpts most of which were new to me. I generally use this along with the latest LibraryReads and IndieNext Booklists for a look at the latest upcoming releases. I then add all the ones I am interested in reading to my notebook and/or request them on NetGalley.
For those of you not familiar with Buzz Books, this collection gives you a glimpse of what will be on the shelves in the coming months. Some include a “sneak peek” type preview of the story, a “sample.” Others include just enough information to add it to your shelves. There is a separate book for each of the two annual books (Spring / Summer and Fall / Winter), as well as a separate book for those looking for Young Adult books. Debut books include 11 “promising” debuts, including one debut fiction by a bestselling non-fiction writer, Aimee Molloy The Perfect Mother., a novel that has already been optioned for film by Kerry Washington (in case you’re interested, GoodReads is currently having a giveaway for this.) Featured debut authors include Luke Allnutt, Alice Feeney, Jane Rosenberg LaForget, and Zoje Stage. Best-selling authors with new fiction include Kristan Higgins, Chris Offutt, Ottessa Moshfegh, and lots and lots of others. In non-fiction, there are several memoirs, one about fighting in the Yemeni Civil War (Mohammed Al Samawi’s ”The Fox Hunt”), another about running away to the circus (Tessa Fontaine’s ”The Electric Woman”), one by Boston Globe’s ‘Love Letters’ columnist (Meredith Goldstein’s ”Can’t Help Myself”), another by a neuroscientist (Barbara Lipska, ”The Neuroscientist Who Lost Her Mind”), and yet another which is about a recently divorced, heartbroken veterinarian who connects with an orphaned baby hedgehog – a “life-affirming story of a man and his hedgehog” (Massimo Vacchetta’s - with Antonella Tomaselli – ”A Handful of Happiness” This includes far too many others to go into, so I’d recommend you check it out yourself, but ones I’m hoping for a chance to read, or am curious about the ones that follow. Julian Barnes, ”The only Story” Lauren Groff, ”Florida” Otessa Moshfegh, ”My Year of Rest and Relaxation” Anna Quindlen, ”Alternate Side” Curtis Sittenfeld, ”You think It, I’ll Say It” Meg Wolitzer, ”The Female Persuasion” Jonathan Evison, ”Lawn Boy” Chris Offutt, ”Country Dark” Hannah Pittard, ”Visible Empire” Tom Rachman, ”The Italian Teacher” Penelope Lively, ”Life in the Garden” Available for download for free: http://buzz.publishersmarketplace.com/
Always great to look at these books. Of course, lots of fabulous reading ahead. I am especially looking forward to some of my favorites, like the new Beatriz Williams.
Thanks very much for making these Buzz Books guides available! This edition (like the others) has a great selection of titles to sample, and I'm looking forward to reading the full books. I also appreciate the NetGalley links at the end of the samples as well as the publicists' contact information.

Buzz Books 2018: Spring/Summer is a guide to books coming out in the spring and summer of 2018. This book is full of new titles and authors. There are excerpts from each of these new books as well. Each new title mentioned includes a summary, the first few chapters, about the author, and publication information, including the publication date. This book is a great way to keep up with the books coming out this year. I am glad I was able to acquire this book and read about upcoming book releases for the spring and summer of 2018.

As always, the spring/summer edition is a great introduction to upcoming fiction, debut fiction and nonfiction. I look forward to the Buzz guides to help me plan my next reading frenzy. Thank you for making this tool available to reviewers.
The best place to find the most exciting books to read in coming months.
These collections never disappoint - 2018 looks like it's going to be another great year for books, and I love being able to request right from the sample.
Great opportunity to read excerpts from upcoming titles. I enjoyed the opportunity to get a preview and also lists of all the anticipated new books for the upcoming seasons.
Once again there are some amazing titles coming out....looks like its going to be a full on reading year :)
I am in love with this Buzz!! I have already dowloaded several titles, and added others to my wishlist!
Buzz Books Summer 18 by the American Booksellers Winter institute gives the reader not only categorised lists of all upcoming new books but also 21 excerpts of soon to be published fictions and 11 excerpts from debut authors. There are also 7 non fiction excerpts. What makes Buzzbooks worthwhile is that these excerpts are well introduced and are substantial enough to get an insight into the content , the style and technique of of the writers. Thus this book is really helpful for any reader to find the books he/ she likes to purchase for future reading.
Soooo helpful! Wish I had found this sooner but I am loving it! I can't tell you how many great reads I've found from it!
I always enjoy reading the new Book Buzz excerpts. It helps me to choose not only which Netgalley books to request but also which books I will be looking for for regular purchase. Thanks for this opportunity.
First time reading one of these buzz books but certainly won't be my last. Great to have a head's up on so many promising books to come. Was able to also earmark a few new ones from some of my favorite authors. Definitely recommend!
Always love these Buzz Books each year...I get so many recommendations. Great job!
WOW!!! I usually look forward to the monthly versions of these but this was crampacked full of exciting reads. The majority of the titles I really hope I get round to reading. I'm most looking forward to 'Our Kind of Cruelty' and 'Don't Believe It' but this collection has such a vast variety there's plenty that interested me which I might never have come across otherwise. Thanks netgalley!!
Sign me up as super excited for the spring/summer-selection. Many of the titles included had yet to reach my radar, and several of them went straight onto my must-read list. Thanks!
What an awesome way to get exposed to books a reader normally wouldn't even give a second look at. I am so excited for this coming year and all the great books we are all going to be able to read! The best part about the Buzz Books is that at the end of every sample of each book there is a direct link to request the ARC on Netgalley! What a brilliant idea and what reader can resist that? I requested quite a few, some I was already approved for and if all the ones I requested get approved I am going to be one happy but busy camper!
I always enjoy these sneak peeks into upcoming releases! Looking forward to a handful of these. Thanks Publishers Lunch! Note: all content appears on hannahandherbooks.com
I love Buzz Book's biannual releases, and I am really looking forward to some of these Adult titles that are to be released in Spring/Summer 2018. There are a lot of interesting fiction, ranging from historical fiction to contemporary to thriller, as well as several nonfiction works, by both debut and returning authors that are being released in the coming months which I am especially excited about, and I the following titles have been successfully added to my TBR list... -A Terrible Country: by Keith Gessen -Our Kind of Cruelty: by Araminta Hall -The Lost Vintage: by Ann Mah -My Year of Rest and Relaxation: by Ottessa Moshfegh -Tin Man: by Sarah Winman -Sometimes I Lie: by Alice Feeney -The Hawkman: A Fairy Tale of the Great War: by Jane Rosenberg Laforge -Between Earth And Sky: by Amanda Skenandore -Baby Teeth: by Zoje Stage -The Neuroscientist Who Lost Her Mind: My Tale of Madness and Recovery: by Barkara K. Lipska with Elaine McArdle Thank you, Publishers Lunch, for putting together this collection!
A great selection of previews with handy Netgalley links. Looking forward to requesting some of these titles throughout the year!
It's traditionally been the fall/winter season when publishers get the publicity juggernaut going full gear. It's therefore really exciting for me to see a fair number of big name authors' books being released this spring and summer season, 2018. These semi-annual previews are available free for download from the Buzz Books website (or Amazon) and are invaluable for planning summer TBR lists, avoiding some books which the buzz has overhyped (or just don't fit with you personally), and one of my favorite uses, to stretch our boundaries. I am guilty, I admit it, of walking straight toward my favorite sections of any bookstore. I think the vast majority of us are guilty of the same... we have limited book budgets and time and want to stick with the tried-and-true authors who have traditionally delivered for us. When I find an enjoyable free way to maybe find a book which is a great fit for me without committing to a purchase first, it's a win-win. I have found a number of debut authors this way who have gone on to become fast favorites. These collections are a great way to get a free 'taste' sample from authors who might well otherwise fly under your radar entirely. Aside from the generous chapter excerpts included in the book, there's always a publishing preview with notable upcoming releases along with author and publisher info. I always find upcoming books from authors I love without having known they had an upcoming release. Valuable timesaver for that reason alone. There's also a YA version which gets its own volume: Download available free from Amazon or at the Buzz Books website. Five stars (though I -should- ding half a star for always making my TBR list grow by too much! How long can a human go without sleep I wonder??).
This is such a fabulous way to get a peek at what is to come. In an overwhelming industry with hundreds of books being released on a constant quick pace, this is a great insider guide to plan what to put on your future TBR pile!
This literary guide showcases highly anticipated works from heavy hitters like Stephen King, Elin Hilderbrand, Jo Nesbo, Paul Theroux, and Roxanne Gay as well as debuts from emerging artists. For highlighted selections the reader is provided with summaries and excerpts from the book as well as promotional information including book giveaways and tour dates. At the end of these summaries there are direct links to the full digital reader copies on Netgalley. The titles I am most excited to see include: Fiction Our House ~ Louise Candlish Happiness ~ Aminatta Forna Our Kind of Cruelty ~ Araminta Hall My Ex-Life ~ Stephen McCauley Country Dark ~ Chris Offutt Don't Believe It ~ Charlie Donlea All the Beautiful Lies ~ Peter Swanson Little Big Love ~ Katy Regan This I Know ~ Eldonna Edwards Tin Man ~ Sarah Winman Wicked River ~ Jenny Milchman Debuts We Own the Sky ~ Luke Allnutt The Perfect Mother ~ Aimee Molloy Non-Fiction Can't Help Myself ~ Meredith Goldstein Factfulness ~ Hans Rosling, Ola Rosling & Anna Rosling Ronnbund This was my first time reading Buzz Books. Extremely helpful guide especially if you are trying to broaden your reading experience. I look forward to meeting all of these new authors (to me) and am excited for the journey to come.
I love Buzz Books. I always find something that I never knew I needed in the upcoming releases. Definitely tagged a few of these to my to-read list!
Very nice layout as too the books that are going to be published in the next few months. Allows reviewers to have an idea of what is going to be available.
Lots of great books coming out soon! Thanks for the excerpts!

A wonderful collection of excerpts. I can not wait to read a bunch of these amazing books.

This is a great book of excerpts! There are a few books that I am really excited about such as Sometimes I Lie and Baby Teeth. I am going to use this collection to help plan my reading and to decide which books to feature on my blog during the upcoming months.
I always love the buzz books. Found some interesting titles I'll check out at pub dates!
Thank you for the ever wonderful preview of books for March!
Thank you for the sneak peeks so I can decide which books I want to review!
Excited to see these previews! So many great books to explore.
I look forward to these editions every quarter. I am most looking forward to The Lost Vintage!
I'm thrilled every month when these show up in the list. I just wish there were more preview ARC's like this.
A very useful book of the upcoming adult books for the next few months.
I always enjoy previewing the new books. Gives me lots of good ideas for what to read next. This one didn't disappoint!
This is a great collection of excerpts of upcoming and published books in spring/summer of 2018. It contains an introduction followed by a section of fiction, highly anticipated, emerging voices, debut fiction, commercial fiction, nonfiction, politics, social issues, science & technology, history & crime, essays, and biographies. After that there are summary and excepts by publishers. I particularly enjoyed the excerpt for HOW TO WALK AWAY by Katherine Center. Overall, a great list of buzzing titles for 2018.
My TBR list grew in 2017 when I discovered Buzz Books and I have been looking forward to the 2018: Spring/Summer edition. The excerpts exceeded my expectations and I am so glad for the introductions to so many great books and authors. The book is broken down into three parts with excerpts from Fiction, Debut Fiction, and Nonfiction. There is also a detailed list of books and their release dates, so even after you have finished reading, you will still have many titles and authors that you can research( I know I did).I read over 25 of the books that I added to my TBR list in 2017 that I might have otherwise missed. I would have to list many, many titles if I wanted to share the books that grabbed my attention, but at the top of my list are Our Kind of Cruelty by Araminta Hall, Baby Teeth by Zoje Stage and Sometimes I Lie by Alice Feeney. This a Read Now book, so what are you waiting for, download it now!Just a great way to preview books that will be published and I highly recommend this to anyone who loves to read. My TBR list is rejuvenated and I am doing the happy book lover dance. Thank you, Publishers Lunch and NetGalley for making this terrific book available to anyone who wants to read it.
I really enjoy reading every issue of Buzz Books because every time I find many interesting books to add to my TBR. In this edition of Buzz Books 2018 : Spring/Summer I discovered books that had heard and after reading an excerpt from it I added it immediately to my TBR. I also found books that I didn't know but I look forward to learn more about them and read them.
I absolutely adored this edition of buzz books and requested at least six of them. Happy reading to me. This is the best edition of this sampler of new books because it showcases so many different genres and new author's to read. I wish this sample came out more often.
Thank you for providing this Buzz Books list for the upcoming spring/summer book season. It's so helpful to have a list of publication dates and some reviews to help me get excited about the upcoming book season.
It looks like it’s going to be an outstanding spring and summer for reading! The lengthy book excerpts along with the list of upcoming titles that Buzz Books provide are a great resource for planning, reading, and reviewing upcoming books. I especially appreciate the broad variety of genres included, with books by both debut and well-established authors. A great preview and lots of books to be excited about!
I love these buzz periodicals. They give you a good sense of what’s coming down the publishing pipeline. I only wish they would add covers for the books, especially fiction. It’s difficult to assess fiction just from the title alone. But they do have excerpts from some of the books and that help tremendously. Thanks to Netgalley for providing and here is what I’m looking forward to: Fiction The Perfect Mother by Aimee Molly-already optioned for film by Kerry Washington Night Hawks by Charles Johnson A View Of The Empire at Sunset by Caryl Phillips What We Were Promised by Lucy Tan Number One Chinese Restaurant by Lillian Li Severance:A Novel by Ling Ma Non-fiction Open Season: The Systemic Legalization of Discrimination by Benjamin Crump Not That Bad: Notes from Rape Culture edited by Roxanne Gay Barracoon: The Story of the Last Slave by Zora Neale Hurston Factfulness: The Ten Reasons We’re Wrong About the World The Prison Letters by Nelson Mandela

I've said it before and I'll say it again: the Buzz Books series is a godsend!
I read the Buzz Books every month and the larger biannual periodicals are among my most anticipated. It is always great to see some of the upcoming titles. I never fail to come away with several must reads to add to my list!
There are a number of titles I will be recommending for purchase. I want to read How to Walk Away by Katherine Center. I am terrified of flying myself, so it immediately hooked me. I would also like to read The Heart Between Us by Lindsay Harrel because it sounds like it would be a good YA crossover from the excerpt. Good Luck With That by Kristan Higgins might be the one I am most interested in because of being overweight myself. I liked the writing and can totally relate to the story. I am also very intrigued by a couple more (Baby Teeth, Don't Believe It, Tell the Machine Goodnight, and The Oracle Year. I look forward to reading these books. I really appreciate being able to read the first chapter or so of books to help decide which books to purchase for the library. Thank you for making these!
Buzz Books 2018 Spring/Summer Edition is once again a treasure trove of Titles and authors of much awaited books to be published this spring and summer. I loved reading through this. I always love to see when Buzz Books comes out with something new. I made a point to note every last book coming out! This was extremely useful to me as always-as I can be on the look out for the latest books.
I have found so many great books thanks to these! This is one of my favorite ways to figure out which books I want to spend my time on and which aren't quite for me.
Buzz Books 2018 for Spring/Summer is a great sample of upcoming books coming out. You can see what books are coming out, have a small sample of authors that you have tried before to see if you like their work.
This was an informative collection of upcoming releases. 2018 is going to be an epic year for literature!
I love getting these in advance. Its like a kid in a candy store. I am so happy to be able to look at all the books. This is such an in depth look at the books across genres
The usual cornucopia of interesting books. there is something for every reviewer here although, being a reader of horror and fantasy, I would like to see more in that area.
Once again Publishers Lunch has pulled together a wonderful collection of books that has me looking forward to a lot of releases over the next few months
So thrilled to see that Ruth Ware has a new (not yet titled) book coming out this spring! I am also excited to see that Riley Sager has a new book out this year, as I enjoyed Final Girls by her. One of my favorite new authors from last year, JP Delaney, has a new book out in August called Believe Me. 2018 is shaping up to be a fabulous year!
Always love reading the Buzz Books though it is horrible for my TBR pile!
So many interesting books are excerpted here that I could stay busy just with these titles. The four that I will definitely read are: Beatrice Williams -- The Summer Wives Eldonna Edward -- This I Know Charlie Soul -- The Oracle Year Katie Williams -- Tell the Machine Goodnight
Another good sampler. Great to get an idea of what's up and coming, and read passages to see if the writing style is one that I'll be able to enjoy a full book of.
This was a wonderful concise way to get a sneak peek at soon to be published books. I have now created an even longer wish list of books!
The Buzz Books Spring/Summer 2018 Sampler has a nice selection of excerpts of upcoming releases. Looking forward to reading a few titles.
Another great selection of new books. Looking forward to investigating them further. Looking forward to the next edition.
I always love these books, and look forward to reading excerpts of upcoming books! This book shows promise of a fantastic spring/summer for bookaholics.
This source is invaluable as a tool to us librarians! Keep making it available, it is a treat!
Great previews! many upcoming books that I am excited to read soon!
This is incredibly helpful for tracking titles on NetGalley, and also to guide my recommendations for personal reading and for recommendations to my coworkers and sometimes students! I am so excited for a handful of the books, more so after the extracts!
An excellent overview of books launching in 2018, featuring several titles I already had on my list and introducing several more I had not yet heard of. Among others, I'll be keeping my eyes out for: - Motherhood by Sheila Heti - Happiness by Aminatta Forna - My Year of Rest and Relaxation by Ottessa Moshfegh - Tin Man by Sarah Winman - Tell the Machine Goodnight by Katie Williams - The Electric Woman by Tessa Fontaine - Can't Help Myself by Meredith Goldstein It's wonderful to be able to read excerpts.
I always enjoy the Buzz Books samplers from the Publishers Lunch group as the excerpts help me to decide whether or not to certain books would be for me. I also love getting a taste of the hottest fiction and non-fiction titles and discovering new titles that I'm needing to read fully after sampling just a bit of it. Because of this, particular Buzz Books 2018 sampler I have already requested The Summer Wives by Beatriz Williams to read and review on my blog. Additionally, I will be adding Mario Giordano's Auntie Poldi and the Sicilian Lions, Ann Mah's The Lost Vintage and perhaps Between Earth and Sky by Amanda Skenandore to my TBR list.
As always, Buzz Books is a wonderful for source in deciding whether or not I’m going to want to cover the most buzzed about upcoming titles!
I'm so happy to be included in this preview, and I so very much enjoyed reading the snippets of upcoming buzz books!
There is no better bang for your buck that a Buzz Book. They are published twice a year Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter in two different volumes, Adult and Y/A (Young Adult). This year's Adult Spring/Summer includes excerpts from 40 books (22 Fiction, 11 Debut Fiction, and 7 Non-fiction) covering a wide range of genres and subjects. This is the perfect way to know what books are being talked about amongst publishers, and to see what you'd like to add to your Want to Read shelf! Many thanks to NetGalley and Publisher's Lunch for allowing me to read and review this year's Spring/Summer Adult issue.
I came into what can be best described as a sampling or works that weren't on my radar at all, and was quite pleasantly surprised by what I discovered. In particular, it looks like "The Neuroscientist Who Lost Her Mind" might have just picked up a potential reader!
I love these previews!! I found some new authors I want to explore and I look forward to future previews.
Interesting and insightful.. I was mostly interested in fiction (non-fiction is not really my thing, lest it be for academic purposes), and I think this list included several things to look forward to.
So thankful for these publications highlighting books to hype to our patrons!
Thanks so much for the forward planner! I am finding these guides incredibly helpful.
Great collection of excerpts. I can't wait for the full version of some of these books. My TBR definitely gets bigger with each Buzz Books collection.
Love getting a preview of such a large variety of books! Can't wait for the next one!
I really, really love Buzz Books! In addition to finding new (and sometimes very unexpected!) material that I selfishly like to read, as a librarian, these excerpts allow me to offer patrons better readers’ advisory because they cover such a wide variety of subjects. I love the fact that the links to requests of the full galley are usually at the end of each preview and I also love how there are now monthly installments of the series! I look forward to reading these and I can’t wait for the next!
I always love these buzz books! I love seeing whats coming out and figuring out what interests me and getting an idea of what to buy and read!
This is the first time that I've read a Buzz Books edition and it was a fantastic glimpse at some of the books being released in the upcoming months. The book has 3 main sections - books from previously published authors, books from debut authors, and nonfiction books. The first thing that surprised me was how many books were featured here. There is a short summary of each book and then 1 or more of the first chapters are printed for you to read. This was a great way to sample books that I'm already looking forward to reading and to also give me exposure to some books that I may not have selected on my own. This only made my list of books to read longer, but was a great collection of samples.
Thank you netgalley for the free ARC. I like the idea of knowing what is coming out bookwise. This allowed me to request some of the books ahead of time!
I am always excited to read the newest release of Buzz Books! I appreciate the summaries and excerpts provided. Here are a few titles I’m looking forward to reading this spring and summer: Auntie Poldi and the Sicilian Lions Wicked River Little Big Love
Very nice selection of books included here. I am looking forward to a few of these and requested one that especially sounded promising to me. Excited to have gotten he opportunity to sample these new books coming out!
This is always my go-to to find out what books I want to read in the coming months. So helpful!!
Normally I gush about how much I adore Buzz Books (because I do) but this time I'm going to just jump right into things, because I am SO EXCITED to talk about Baby Teeth by Zoje Stage. I am about 1/3 of the way through the galley, so I won't say too much, because I will eventually review it, but OH MY GOSH. Its the kind of book you read in line at the grocery store because you need to be reading it every spare minute. I have absolutely NO idea how it will end. It is engrossing. The relationship between mother and daughter is fascinating and terrifying. And every one ever should read it. On that note, spring and summer are looking SO GOOD for readers that love thrillers. There were so many books previewed in this edition of Buzz Books that look delightfully tense. Our House opens with the main character watching someone move into her house- I knew by the end of the first paragraph that I loved the authors writing style. It is quick and tense and uncomfortable in the best way. Our Kind of Cruelty is the story of a stalker in love- YES PLEASE!! It is absolutely the kind of book you read on a rainy day with your doors locked and your windows covered. All The Beautiful Lies, Wicked River, The Perfect Mother- all thrillers with incredible previews, that I can hardly wait to read in full! Also deserving of mention here, there were a few books that I talked about in my review of the April Buzz Books. This I Know seems INCREDIBLE. Holy guacamole that author can write. It opens up on a scene narrated by a fetus and some how the author does a beautiful job and it wasn't uncomfortable or weird. The Fox Hunt is an up coming fast paced non fiction novel that I absolutely need to read RIGHT NOW. It has been on my mind since I first read the preview last week. It reads like tense, beautifully crafted fiction. Last but not least, there was a preview for a non fiction book called A Handful of Happiness by Massimo Vacchetta. I was hooked just off of the cover alone- A picture of an adorable little hedgehog on her back in someones cupped hands. This is the story of veterinarian coming to terms with his own emotional pain through caring for an orphaned hedgehog. Seriously, what could be cuter?! I think it goes without saying, but my TBR pile has once again grown. A lot. I can hardly wait to get my hands on these titles.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for sending me a digital arc of these books. My mother-in-law loves Kristan Higgins and after an excerpt from "Good Luck With That" I know she is going to love this new book. There are so many other fantastic books coming out. My TBR keeps growing.
So many exciting books coming out in Spring/Summer. I am very excited to see some new titles by some of my favorite authors. I am also very excited to read some books by debuting authors or new to me authors. Thank you NetGalley for this glimpse into the books for 2018.
I am so excited for all of the new releases! That you to Publishers Lunch and NetGalley for allowing us a preview of books coming soon.
Wonderful resource as always! Can't wait for all these books this upcoming season.
I always look forward to the Buzz Books releases to see what books are coming out in the next few months!
I always love getting these! Thanks for all the insight into the new books coming out.
This whet my appetite for Sheila Heti's Motherhood and Ottessa Moshfegh's My Year of Rest and Relaxation. Stunning collection.
This book was furnished to me by NetGalley in exchange for a honest review. Thankmyou for this opportunity. Without giving anything away just get this book now!!! It's very compelling and I literaļy flew through it. This book can not be missed!!
This sampler made me really antsy for the release of many of these books. Really enjoyed starting books that I had not hear about like My Year of Rest and Relaxation by Ottessa Moshfegh.
This is definitely always a helpful tool for librarians. Being able to get a snippet before ordering a book is always handy. The selections this spring and the diversity are wonderful. I added way too many to my TBR and I hope my teens do too!
I always enjoy these books. I love to see is upcoming in the book world!
I love getting the buzzbook and always end up adding something on my already too full tbr list! The excerpts are great, little pieces of the books to peek at! Thanks Netgalley!
I always look forward to the Buzz Book compilations. This Spring/Summer 2018 offering really knocked my socks off! It’s a one stop shop to plan your upcoming months of reading life. There’s so much here for favorite authors, new emerging talent, fiction and nonfiction, your TBR lists will be exploding! One thing I really do enjoy about the excerpts is how I find it really encourages me to reach outside of my normal genres. I try to read all of them and as a result have ventured further and further outside my usual ‘literary lanes’. It’s refreshing and exciting to discover something I might not have otherwise. I highly recommend!
It's great to be able to get previews of such a large selection of upcoming books! My TBR list got a little out of control after reading this. There are just so many interesting excerpts!
Thanks for some great recommendations. Good to know what's coming out soon.
I love reading about new and upcoming books for the season to see what should be added to my reading list/requested for reviews!
What a great idea! I have added several of the books listed to my TBR pile and looked at the Autumn 2017 list too and added some of them. I enjoy reading a variety of genres so I love that someone has compiled a selection of varied new books. I am especially excited that there's a section for debut authors - I am always keen to give newbies a chance, especially as an author's first is often their best (in my opinion). It's going to be a great 2018 for books :-)
A great way to find new books to add to my TBR pile! And a great way to find new additions for my review archive on my site.
I found some great novels I want to read when I looked through this. I recommend this if you’re looking to expand your TBR list!
Thanks to Netgallery for an eARC of this book. I deeply appreciate Buzz Books and the ability to preview books in advance of publication. It enables me to order more thoughtfully for my store. Great, as always.
I love Buzz books. I love that they give me the opportunity to see what is coming up in the next few months. It lets me choose what books I may be interested in reading in the future, either through Netgalley or on my own. Thank you for these great books.
A fantastic overview of books being released in Spring/Summer 2018. I've added a few books to my TBR pile from this guide from Author's I've not been experienced before. I look forward to seeing future editions as the seasons change.
Always appreciate the curated content in this Buzz Books series
