How is it that More Than Words is the first novel that I've read by Mia Sheridan?! I probably be ashamed of myself but I'm really just excited because this means I have tons of her books to read.

I picked up this novel with the intention of reading a few pages, maybe a chapter, and then running a few errands and picking it back up. That did not happen. I started reading and then I couldn't stop. I was curious about the story of Jessie and Callen --from their first meeting to their fateful next-- and I found myself enamored by their story. I also liked the setting (I've always wanted to visit and now I'm yearning to visit Paris) and the various subplots (her job, his job, her family history, his family history). All in all, this novel was a really good read with some interesting sections on fate and dealing with love and loss that really resonated with me. I know that new and old fans alike will devour this novel and find themselves daydreaming about romantic French countryside locations.

When Jessie met Callen at a young age, they instantly became friends. There was something special about the troubled and broken boy. And when Callen disappears one day, Jessie is left wondering what every happened to that boy who gave her, her first kiss.

Years later, Callen Hayes has made a name for himself. A famous and bad boy composer. And when the girl who he met years ago and who unknowingly changed his life walks back in, changes it again forever.

Bittersweet. 💔 💖

***2.5 Stars***

Mia Sheridan is a new to me author. When I first started More Than Words, I had no idea what to expect. The only expectations in mind was More Than Words was going to be a great emotional read, given the fact that Mia Sheridan is highly talked about as being an angsty emotional writer.

Let’s dive into what More Than Words is all about…

Jessica Creswell and Callen Hayes first met in an abandoned boxcar on the railroad tracks. Callen was hiding from the abuse he received at home and Jessica was running from the constant bickering of her parents. A strong bond ultimately formed between the two that lasted for a little over a year. The two bonded over books and make believe. Until the night Callen kissed Jessica and than vanished.

Now, years later, Jessica is living her fulfilled dreams and is traveling all over france as an interpreter and Callen is a highly known composer. After a chance run in with a drunken Callen, Jessica’s dreams of what it would feel like to be reunited with her first love vanish. She wants a man who is willing to stand by her side and cherish her, not a man like her father who’s after his latest lay, a man who Callen has turned out to be exactly like.

My thoughts are a little scattered when it comes to this novel so bare with me as I try to get through this.

Mia Sheridan is a new to me author. I’m also a huge fan of emotional novels that have the ability to break my heart and bleed my dry before trying to put me back together again. As I read the reviews for More Than Words, I decided to try my hand at a new to me author and feel all the feels as the majority pointed out.

The first quarter of the book sucked me in, I loved the innocence of young love, Jessica and Callen literally had my stomach in knots and my heart fluttering. I loved them from the start. I loved the innocence and I loved the turmoil that each where dealing with. I really enjoyed the reading sessions and the progression of friendship that grew between the two. It was life like and so very real. As the time went on and their relationship grew, I knew that Callen was going to crush my heart. I didn’t know how but I knew it was going to happen. And then it did.

Now years later, and the book completely lost me. I loved the concept but I lost connection with these characters. I have no clue what went wrong and why, but given the fact that I felt a deep connection with Jessica and Callen and then POOF it vanished has me wondering if it was just me and a reading funk or if it was the vibe of this novel. I found Jessica’s job as a translator/interpreter fascinating and I loved the history that was woven in the story but maybe the focus on Jessica’s job was a little stronger compared to the focus on the relationship between Callen and Jessica. I also loved the fact that Callen still gives off the vibe’s of a struggling composer when he’s one of the most sought after in the industry. It saddened me to see him try to drink his problems and inner demons away.

Overall, even though I enjoyed aspects of this novel, I needed more from the relationship and the characters. I greatly wanted to love this novel but More Than Words, in my opinion, was just okay.

Mia Sheridon has a way of drawing deep emotions out of her readers in empathy with her characters; with emotional scars and turbulent childhoods, Mia makes her characters work for every piece of happiness they get; with the reader supporting them whole-heartedly throughout. Unfortunately, with More Than Words, the connection to the characters was a little off for me personally. I found Jessica a little too submissive and Callen very douche-like with only a small amount of redemption following the revelations as to the contributing factors to his behaviour.

I loved the idea of a true, deep love forming through the bonds of friendship and developing into so much more as time passes and the characters mature. Jessica and Callen have that type of connection and fate has a starring role in ensuring they reawaken and build on the feelings they had for each other as they grew-up. I also loved both Jess and Callen's imagination and dreams of a brighter future, especially as Callen discovered this incredible talent he has been gifted.

The true foundation of the story is that of the emotional trauma Callen endured as a child and the lasting damage it has caused to his self-esteem. Although Callen was physical abused it was the verbal attacks that left the deepest scars. Whoever said words can't hurt you must never have experienced the pain they cause for themselves.

Ultimately, the morale of the story is that a person is so much more than the words carelessly thrown at them. Belief in yourself is the ultimate gift you can give, as it allows you to fully accept and trust those closest to you.

I have been a huge fan of Mia Sheridan since I read Archer’s Voice( if you haven’t read it, you need to) and I went into this book a little sceptical because I knew it would be hard for her to outdo herself. This book is amazing though, it gives you all of the feels, and I love that Callen wasn’t perfect, and that Jessica wasn’t this girl who had the world at her fingertips like so many main characters do. This book also talks about Joan of Arc a lot, and I loved that aspect of this book, there was some history there, Jessica was making a different in her translating, she wasn’t some rich debutante, and Callen wasn’t some famous singer that was perfect, but he was a manwhore:-) There was a lot of heart in this book, so much that I highlighted some of them. One that stuck with me was ” Live fiercely, and without regret. I must admit, my heart beat with longing to feel such joyful freedom” This book gave me all of the feels, and I definitely would recommend it!

I received an ARC of this book for a Honest Review

This book totally gets 5 Stars!!

HOLY SQUEEZZZE! MY HEART <3 This is yet another EPIC love story from Mia Sheridan.
So, what is this story about? The synopsis below said it all … so I won’t repeat myself.

"The moment she met Callen Hayes, eleven-year-old Jessica Creswell knew he was a broken prince. Her prince. They became each other's refuge, a safe and magical place far from their troubled lives. Until the day Callen kissed her--Jessica's first real, dreamy kiss—and then disappeared from her life without a word.

Years later, everyone knows who Callen Hayes is. Famous composer. Infamous bad boy. What no one knows is that Callen's music is now locked deep inside, trapped behind his own inner demons. It's only when he withdraws to France to drink his way through the darkness that Callen stumbles into the one person who makes the music return. Jessica. His Jessie. And she still tastes of fresh, sweet innocence . . . even as she sets his blood on fire.

But they don't belong in each other's worlds anymore. There are too many mistakes. Too many secrets. Too many lies. All they have is that instinctive longing, that need—and something that looks dangerously like love."

Seriously! I cannot get enough from this author. Callen and Jessie’s story is sort of a modern fairytale – a broken prince who befriended and protected his princess, then disappeared. A decade later destiny brought them together again. This time Callen is the one needing rescuing from his own demons. Callen has grown into a sex God. A famous music composer who is spiraling down a dark path. Jessie is beautiful and driven. She is living out her dream in Paris like she always wanted. Jessie always wondered why Callen left her behind without a word after the special friendship they shared. Time did not change Jessie’s feelings for Callen but she is reluctant to put her heart on the line again. Can Callen and Jessie rekindle the magic they once had?

“Life was more than words. It was laughter and love, faith and joy. And mostly, it was the deep peace that came from living life fiercely and without regret.”

More than words is a sweet childhood puppy love / second chance romance. The road to HEA is not without struggles and heartbreaks. This story is about forgiveness, redemption, fate and finding love when you least expect it. Mia’s elegant writing always draws me deep into the plot… I almost feel like I am existing in the story right along with the characters. Callen and Jessie both have their own demons, secrets, and troubles to overcome. I am not going to lie. The hero is a bit of a man-whore, one who does not quite know what he wants – meaningless sex and partying. Jessie remains innocent, waiting for her prince charming. Callen knows Jessie is THE ONE for him however doesn’t think he deserves her love. Jessie wants to give Callen a second chance but her not so stellar upbringing makes it difficult to trust others. I can literally feel their struggle but I think it’s the characters’ vulnerability, flaws, and how they grow and persevere that make them real and relatable. This book definitely pulled at all my heart strings. It’s got all the feels - sweet and innocent, heartbreak and redemption, hopes, dreams, courage and a happily ever after. By the time I finished the epilogue I was a blubbering mess. What I adore about this author’s book is that every story comes with a special meaning and message, one that captivated you and stays rooted in your mind long after the last page is turned. You will see … nothing is as it seems and people will only choose to show you what they want you to see.

“One life is all we have and we live it as we believe in living it. But to sacrifice what you are and to live without belief, that is a fate more terrible than dying.”

This author is timeless and forever one of my favorites. I can’t recommend this book enough to all of you – Unique, unforgettable, and simply exquisite.

“To never being too old to learn new things.” ---- AMEN!

"Just for tonight—just one damn night—I wanted to lose myself in the sweetness so clear in this girl’s eyes, the pure innocence I could feel emanating from her."

Romance lovers, rejoice! Mia Sheridan has created another absolutely unforgettable hero in Callen! This book made me literally sob happy tears at the end. It is an absolutely gorgeous story about the power of love, forgiveness and redemption.

Jessica and Callen were childhood friends, both trying to escape very unhappy homes. They bonded over music but one day Callen literally disappeared without warning and Jessica had no idea what happened to the boy who had stolen her heart.

"The two years I’d spent with her had been the only real childhood I’d had, the only time I’d allowed myself to play, and to lose myself in lands of fantasy, where anything was possible. She had been the only good. And yet that time was riddled with pain, too, and memories I didn’t want to look at, memories I constantly tried to push away."

Years later they meet up by chance in France where Jessica has traveled to work on translating ancient writings about Joan of Arc (side note: I loved the parallel story about a young woman chronicling the life of Joan of Arc! Beautiful.) But Callen is now a famous composer, known for his constant partying and stream of women. He is also struggling with writer's block and cannot seem to finish his latest composition. His tragic childhood has left him emotionally scarred and he is also hiding a potentially damaging secret.

Jessica is smart and kind and innocent. She has always loved Callen but is painfully aware of the women in his life and his inner demons. Is there any way that these two very damaged people will ever have a chance at happiness together?

"Callen Hayes was not the boy I’d known, and I shouldn’t have forgotten that, even for a moment, even here in this gorgeous room in the Loire Valley, where fate seemed to have once again brought us together."

The plot sounds like this story is a cliched romance but it is definitely not! Callen and Jessica's romance is gorgeous and emotional and very unexpected. The setting in France is beautiful and fills the story with richness. But underlying the story is the sadness that Callen carries with him and which could mean the end of his renewed relationship with Jessie.

"There was no place for sweetness in my life. And definitely no place for innocence."

Callen and Jessie embark on a tentative relationship while she is completing her translation job in France. Jessie always believed in Callen but yet he doesn't feel worthy of her. It is hard to compare a romantic hero to Mia's Archer from Archer's Voice but Callen comes very close. To the world he is a sexy musician but he feels unworthy of the adulation and especially of Jessie's love.

“You weren’t nobody to me. To me you were everything.”

I loved the setting of this book and the surprising revelation about Callen, I also loved the "love story within a love story" relating to Joan of Arc. The Epilogue was just perfect. Mia Sheridan certainly knows how to grab your heart and she succeeded with this absolutely gorgeous love story!

“The music plays when I’m with you.”

Once again, Mia has written a story that pulled me in from the beginning, and kept me coming back for more. These characters were not always easy to like, but they had personalities and flaws that made them real.

Callen Hayes and Jessie Creswell meet in an abandoned boxcar as children. Both escaping different circumstances at home, they find solace and comfort in the friendship that develops in their secret world. When Callen disappears, Jessie is distraught about where he might be, but without knowing his last name or where he lived, she can do nothing but hope he is ok wherever he is.

Now, everyone knows who Callen Hayes is. As an internationally acclaimed composer, he is the hot new thing on the music scene. But as he battles his demon in a very public way, he runs into Jessie once again, this time in France. Jessie had followed his career, but never imagined she’d find herself face to face with Callen again, especially not when she is just finding her footing in her dream job.

These two characters are so different, yet have a few very important similarities. By the time they meet again as adults, they inhabit very different worlds and have traveled very different roads to get there. Jessie retained her curious, optimistic nature and her outlook on life drives so many of her choices. Callen is broody, a bit jaded, and haunted by the pain of his childhood.

This story had a very unique aspect in the letters Jessie is translating. I loved the little bit of parallel the letters added, as well as the mystery about who the author was and what her story may have been. As Jessie learned more about the mystery journal writer, she also learned more about the boy she befriended and the man he had become.

These two did not have an easy road, but I loved the entire journey. The book is told in dual POV in three separate sections. Each section and POV change is deliberate to weave together the perspectives of two very complex characters with secrets and dreams that I couldn’t have guessed.

I received a copy from Netgalley for review.

"Live fiercely and without regret."

I have a feeling the above quote will be a popular one among readers, and I've seen quite a few early reviews include it in their thoughts, but it's hard to find another phrase that sums up the overall feel of More Than Words quite as well. I've heard all the buzz surrounding one of the author's previous novels, Archer's Voice, and knew I needed to jump on the opportunity to read this one to see what was up. After finishing MTW, I need to rush out and buy AV immediately because I'm hooked! While this one is completely fine to read as a standalone, I see why all the readers who have been following Mia's books for years might feel a deeper connection, as her writing is full-bodied and covers a wide range of thematic elements and emotion.

More Than Words is a prime example of how my tastes in genre reading have evolved as I grow older. Besides the fact that I've grown into a semi-regular reader of romance, I find that I actually slow down my reading during a book I've sunk into, as opposed to the "flip the pages as fast as you can because that's the only sign you're enjoying a book" Chelsea that I used to be. The characters here are driven, developed, and larger than life, the plot is layered, intriguing, and gripping, and I found my emotions were on a wild rollercoaster of feels that I couldn't control. I can't say anything about the plot, as you should just read it for yourself, but I am so glad to have read this one and freely recommend it to all type of romance readers, and even those who occasionally veer off the beaten path of their comfortable books to search out a solid love story.

Do you believe in fate? Do you believe that life gives you signs to help you find your way? Do you believe that God speaks to everyone, if you know how to listen? This book right here is the reason I read romance. It's the reason Mia Sheridan is my favorite author. It's everything you could hope for in a story and so much more than my words could possibly describe! Ask and you shall receive, it's a philosophy I live by, but boy if you're not ready to accept what you manifest into existence, it sure does do some damage, not only to you, but to all of those around you as well! There is no other author who's words speak to my heart and soul the way that Mia's do. This book will crack your heart open, raw and exposed, make you question your limits and ultimately give you faith in the order of the universe. 5 stars doesn't seem like quite enough for this book...take a chance on it and I think you'll agree.

Mia Sheridan delivers a captivating exploration of lost love and second chances with her new novel, More Than Words. Jessie and Callen’s story begins as children, and I was immediately hooked by their unlikely friendship and obvious bond. A chance meeting years later sparks a flame that threatens to consume them both as Jessie and Callen discover that the years have not diminished their connection. Brimming with emotion and painted with adventure, this colorful, sweeping romance was pure magic. The story felt effortlessly epic, and Mia Sheridan had me walking Jessie and Callen’s journey right alongside them, anxiously awaiting the happily ever after.

In true Mia Sheridan fashion, Jessie and Callen blew me away. From their shared history to their chosen careers, this couple was unlike any I’ve met before. While their chemistry was undeniably electric, it was Jessie and Callen’s aching familiarity and inexplicable emotional connection that had me so invested. What this duo shared was genuine in its uncertainty, and I loved the quiet vulnerability that their feelings for one another revealed. Jessie and Callen’s journey wasn’t just one of romance. As secrets were exposed and fears were confronted, both characters underwent breathtaking individual transformations. Ultimately, Jessie’s unwavering dedication and unrelenting imagination proved to be the perfect match for Callen’s constant doubt and brooding nature.

This novel embodied everything I love about this author. From the one-of-a-kind storyline and vibrant characters to the lyrical prose and enchanting imagery, More Than Words had Mia Sheridan’s signature all over it. Leisurely paced, the book progressed in a way that felt entirely natural, perfectly capturing the slow burn of unrequited childhood love. I adored the story within the story and found myself immediately captivated by the rich historical undertones that gave Jessie and Callen’s story an unexpected timelessness. Enthralling, addictive, and emotionally raw, More Than Words is another must-read romance from the brilliant Mia Sheridan!

This book captured my attention and wouldn’t let it go. I got absorbed in Callen & Jessie’s world and I loved it. However, I will be honest I did start skimming the history writings after halfway about the ancient writings Jessie was working on. I was too enraptured in finding out how Callen & Jessie’s story played out.

Callen is a troubled, lost soul that drowns his pain and numbs his mind in alcohol and women to forget his abusive upbringing. His one happy memory is his light shining of Jessica Creswell, his Jessie. He is taken away from her when his dad relocates them to another city. He loses himself in the love of music. He writes and composes movie themes and has captured the stardom and becomes an instant celebrity. So on a rooftop in Paris, 10 years after losing touch from her prince, does Jessie actually recognize the man that walked away without a word?

Jessie Creswell, she’s simply amazing. Smart, beautiful, gentle, and so very kind. She has had an upbringing that no kid wants to remember. Her trust in men is shattered after watching her dad repeatedly cheat on her mom. So after losing the boy she loved as a teen, she followed his stardom in the tabloids as she watched him work his way through many women. So how does she treat an unexpected reunion? Does she forget what he is or will Callen not even remember her?

I was so invested in seeing the good in these characters. I wanted them to have their happily ever afters. I wanted them to overcome their pasts and have only bright and happy futures. This book teetered on heartbreak at around 80% for me. My heart dropped, it cried, and it was ugly mad. YET this fantastic author, she knows how to write a good book, oh yes she does❤️

Without giving anymore away, I hands down recommend this read. Bear with the ancient history parts, they do have meaning☺️ so pick this one up!!! Releasing June 12th!!

There are no words good enough to express how much I loved this 5 story. I was brought back to my vacation a few years back in the Loire Valley, France.

Callen and Jessica met at an young age. Their time together was cut short but memorable. Years later they meet again in Paris. Callen is not in a good place right now but having Jessica in his life balances him out and gives him peace.

I always anticipate a book written by Mia. A love story that is set in France and really brought back my time there also. Beautifully written with an original storyline that flowed well. I was sucked in these amazingly created characters lives. I felt so many emotions. Bottomline this is a must read.

Standalone told in a dual POV with an HEA. I strongly recommend this story. All of Mia’s previous books are all worth the readers precious time and money.

Words tell stories, of course, but as Mia Sheridan crafts so evocatively in this book, musical notes and actions also tell stories.

Callen and Jessica communicated with words, actions, and music when they were kids, but years pass before they see each other as adults. When they reunite, Mia Sheridan shows you how difficult it is to understand someone who changes their language. They misunderstand each other. There are fits and starts. They have to find a new language, a new way to communicate.

I love so much about this book. I love how Mia Sheridan asks you to think about fate and higher powers. She asks you to consider the idea of soul mates and destiny, and she asks you to reflect on the power of prayer. Not that this book dives deep into theology. It's more that she makes you think about what you ask for and what you expect.

And I loved the hotness. Mia Sheridan writes some delicious sexy times, largely because in Callen she has a delectable Hot Hero. He's tortured and plagued but he's far more open than he realizes. In Jessica, he finds what he needs to help him realize that he's stronger than he thinks he is. She is someone who learns from her mistakes yet also allows herself to stay true to her hopes and aspirations. So those sexy times? They are scorching. They ignite the pages.

Parts of this book made me cry, parts made me laugh, and parts made me quiver (you know what I mean). You want to meet Jessica and Callen. You really do.

3.5-4 Stars!

“I’m here to save you.”
I love friends to lovers type stories especially when the main characters have known each other since childhood.

Jessica Creswell has always been looking for her Prince Charming and she finds it in Callen Hayes, a troubled broken boy. Jessica and Callen grew close playing in their pretend fairy tale land until the day he disappeared without another word.

Fast forward years later and Jessica is living her dream in Paris, looking for a job translating historical documents when she runs into Callen, now famous composer and known bad boy, at the bar she is working at. But he is no longer her broken prince but now a troubled adult.

Fate plays a role bringing these two back and forth in each others paths and sometimes you have no say or control in what life has in store for you.

I loved watching these two navigate their way back into each others lives almost picking up right where they left off so many years before. With such ease and care, they were able to pick up their friendship and the undeniable connection and attraction that has always been brewing beneath the surface.

Mia Sheridan has a way with words and this book was more than just words... it was about "living life fiercely and without regret" and about redemption for this poor man who has only wanted what he was always missing... love, faith and family.

There were parts that gutted me. And there were parts where I wanted more. But overall, this was a beautiful story of love and truth and courage and I can't wait to read more from this very talented author.

“ There was no real bravery without fear.”
Mia Sheridan presents the fans with a sensational book. More Than Words brings a contemporary novel with hints of historical romance filled with love, anguish, lyricism, musicality with a mature writting and full of references.

Jessie is a girl who feels the pain of her mother in her skin and plunges deep into the magic of Fairy Tales to be able to survive all the anguish that tries to take care of her heart. Passionate about the classics like The Three Musketeers and King Arthur, when she finds a lonely and sad boy, she introduces him to this world in which he accepts to participate. Dreamy, naive, pure and sweet, she transforms the life of the suffering Callen. Until the day he does not show up anymore.
Callen has a miserable existence thanks to a serious problem that he hides under seven keys, he ends up finding in music his escape valve but the world of entertainment also brings people who in no way help him overcome his inner demons, only making him more the famous bad boy silent, mysterious and closed. Until the day he meets the only one that has always touched his heart.
But Jessica, while continuing a romantic dreamer, realizes that Callen is no longer the same boy as before and knows that if she let him get too close to her heart, she will suffer a lot later.
What I found most interesting is how Mia Sheridan presented this two characters with serious family problems and how each one of them resolved to adopt a different worldview with totally different attitudes of one another: Callen does not hide that he is a problematic person and that he does not want to love while Jessica dreams of being loved.
"But I also knew now that life was more than words. It was laughter and love, faith and joy. "
Of course, with this title I remember the song from Extreme, More Than Words, and I put it to listen in some music app leaving free the next songs while reading but what was not my surprise when it plays Stargazing by Kygo and I felt that this one was really the music that would pack me on the journey of Jessie and Callen. The letter of Stargazing fits nicely into Jessie's idea of trying to help Callen realize that he can love and be loved, shows how hopeful she is even in the face of human cruelty. Wow! I can not even describe the feelings I had in reading this book and listening to this song.
Mia Sheridan was fantastic both in choosing the setting for the two encounters and in the way she presented the love statements that appear throughout the plot.
Launching a beautiful message of overcoming, faith, second chances and mainly ...
A message about opening our eyes and realizing how God responds to our appeals in a way that we least expect, but we need to be open-minded in order not to let the moment of Grace pass.
6/5 stars

"Sometimes the beginning of love is just a simple matter of proximity."

I've learned that it's not necessary to read a synopsis to decide if I want to read the next Mia Sheridan book, it's an automatic hell yes! Time after time she's ripped my heart out and put it back together again with her magical words. I'm amazed by her word wizardry and the beautifully broken characters she creates that take me to places I would never have visited on my own.

I was first introduced to Callen & Jessica when they were kids. She stumbled upon his hiding place and discovered her broken prince. In all the fairytales she'd read previously it was the prince that saved the princess, but that didn't stop her from declaring, "I'm here to save you." And she did.

They shared many adventures and their dreams for the future. She melted when he kissed her, and then she was devastated when he disappeared without saying goodbye. What she thought was the beginning of something special turned out to be the end. But she never forgot him.

Years later their paths crossed again. She remembered him immediately, but in his drunken state, he barely knew his own name. "So he'd grown up to be a conceited, womanizing manwhore—a wildly successful, crazy talented, conceited, womanizing manwhore. Well, good for him." Unfortunately, her broken prince was still broken...

Callen has been trying to drown his demons. And he avoids the loneliness and nightmares by never being alone. But he never remembers their names. Too bad the numbness he seeks also numbs his muse. The music in his head is silent, his writer's block is feeding the doubts that haunt him. It's not until he runs into Jessie again that he starts hearing the music in his mind. She reminds him of when she first introduced him to musical notes and how they changed his life. How she changed his life...

They might have accidentally ended up in Paris at the same time, but they are still worlds apart. He must go where the music takes him and she is following her chosen career path which is in France. They know that there's no future for them, but tell that to their hearts. It's safer to insist, "No promises, so no regrets." Good luck with that, right?

Along with Jessie, "I wondered if he was too damaged, too bent on self-destruction." But I never gave up hope. I can never resist a broken bad boy, or a broken prince and Callen had me wrapped around his little finger from the beginning. I wanted Princess Jessica to slay his demons and win his heart...sigh. ❤

I devoured this incredible story full of history and music and pain and promise. I fell in love with the characters and yearned for them to find a way to overcome the obstacles in their path. I got so caught up in the details that I could hear the music and the French accents, and I felt the raindrops and I felt their pain. It touched me deeply and long after I turned the last page I continue to think about them. That's why I keep coming back for more from this author. The line forms here...

This was just.... wow. So good. So so so good.

I have a confession. I've only read one Mia Sheridan novel prior to More Than Words. One. And after reading More Than Words, I'm both kicking myself and unbelievably anxious to go back and read all the beauty I've clearly missed.

This story was everything I love in one book. It was both heartfelt and heartbreaking. It was angsty and emotional. It was SMART and so beautifully written. It was a story of second chances and first loves. It had all the yummy drama and infuriating jealousy that comes along with a celebrity romance. It had a brooding, broken hero my heart both ached for and swooned over. And our heroine, well, I rooted for her the entire way through.

This was a magical read, a beautiful story that delivers all those delicious heart pangs, an angsty love story full of steamy moments and lush romance. I devoured it. I enjoyed it so much. This story came as a complete surprise to me, a diamond in the rough, a decadent romantic treat I couldn't read fast enough. More Than Words is a beautifully unforgettable story and I can't recommend it enough.
