Description

From New York Times bestselling author of Archer’s Voice comes a second chance, childhood friends to lovers romance between a famous musician and the only woman he’s ever loved, perfect for fans of Colleen Hoover and Lucy Score.

The moment eleven-year-old Jessica Creswell met Callen Hayes, she knew he was a broken prince. Her prince. They became each other's refuge, a safe and magical place far from their troubled lives. Until the day Callen kissed her—Jessica's first real, dreamy kiss—and then disappeared from her life without a word.

Years later, everyone knows who Callen Hayes is. Famous composer. Infamous bad boy. What no one knows is that Callen's music is now locked deep inside, trapped behind his own inner demons. It's only when he withdraws to France to drink his way through the darkness that Callen stumbles into the one person who makes the music return. Jessica. His Jessie. And she still tastes of fresh, sweet innocence . . . even as she sets his blood on fire.

But they don't belong in each other's worlds anymore. There are too many mistakes. Too many secrets. Too many lies. All they have is that instinctive longing, that needand something that looks dangerously like love.

Every girls wish is to find there prince. When Jessica was wandering around as a little girl and looked up to see this boy Callen in a boxcar that’s exactly who Jessica saw. “I’m here to save you,” This love story is a pull at your heart and soul type of story that makes you shed some tears but puts a smile at your face feeling love. Fate is cruel at times but everything happens for a reason. Two characters there are so different but so much alike in ways that will take your breath away. The author always knows how to make me feel like my heart is on my sleeve by reading her words. It’s definitely a romance that will open your eyes and one I’ll never forget. 5/5 stars in my top 2018 best reads.

This book is another example of why Mia Sheridan is one of my go-to authors when I am in the middle of a reading slump.

This is the first book I've read by Mia Sheridan, and it definitely won't be the last. More Than Words is a tremendously emotional read. Parts of it gave me chills. Other parts made me want to stomp my feet and scream. There was one point that I didn't think I could forgive Callen for his cruel words, so I was sure Jessie couldn't. But she did, And I did. And that alone speaks to the amazing talent of this author. It's impossible to not connect deeply with these characters and root for their very hard-earned HEA.

Thank you to NetGalley and Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for providing an ARC for review. I never would have found this amazing author otherwise.

When it's done well, I love the childhood bffs (who got separated) to lovers when they meet as adults trope, and this book certainly did a wonderful job. The childhood bffs arc was written was really wholesome manner, and it translated to the adults' part of the arc so well. Overall, this book was swoony and raw and good. The third act breakup was super painful though 🥲 but I loved the subsequent make-up and the hea
