"The princess thought she'd been waiting for the prince and yet...and yet, she'd had it all backward. The prince had survived the battle and crawled to the dark cave nearby to hide, where he'd been waiting...to be rescued by her."

"I wanted to kiss those freckles, each and every one, to touch them with my tongue and know if they tasted like innocence."

"Then write me love letters with your music. Write me songs that make my heart ache and my soul feel full. If you...if you have feelings for me, express them through your songs. I don't care. But don't live a life you don't want to lead. Don't become something you don't want to be. Don't throw away what we have because you don't feel worthy of me."

"I'd asked him to help me, begged him to save me, and he'd sent Jessie, not only to provide friendship and laughter when I needed it the most, but to gift me the joy of music. She'd delivered it straight into my arms, like a messenger bearing miracles, and I hadn't once recognized her for what she was. My gift. My fate. My love."

There are so many brilliant and wondrous things that I want to say about this book. But, I don't know if I will ever be able to truly tell you just how and amazing and unexpected this book was for me. True to Mia Sheridan fashion this book has my heart all tied up in knots, feeling so many emotions. I know when I'm reading one of her books that I should expect to be taken on an incredible journey, but I am utterly floored by just how much I loved this book. More Than Words is one of those stories that just sneaks up on you. You won't stand a chance. You may as well lock yourself in your room, because you are not going to want to put this book down..

From the moment I picked up More Than Words, I was inexplicably drawn to the characters and the story. I was completely captivated and was dying for more. The lyrical writing and flow of the story just sucks you in. You can't absorb the words fast enough. This story is so unique, but delivers so many powerful messages. This book is so much more than a love story. It is a story of friendship and hope. A story of the worst pain and heartache. A story of despair and at times hopelessness. A story of demons and hitting rock bottom. A story of longing and love you want to give so badly, but don't think you deserve. This story is just so much more than I will ever be able to say.

To say I loved this book would be a total understatement. It is the book my heart has been waiting for, but didn't know existed. The characters will consume you and become a part of you. They are so real and flawed and beautiful. Their struggles and pain are so palpable. You can't help but get lost in Callen and Jessie. Jessie is the girl who believes in fairytales and happy endings, always searching for an escape in made up worlds. And Callen is the beautiful broken boy who is lost and surrounded by demons, looking for a way out and finds hope in an unexpected place. Their story is complex and will tug at your heart. It will have you feeling so many emotions and at the same time will have you rooting for a happily ever after.

More Than Words has stolen my heart with it's incredible writing and brilliant characters. It has consumed me and has left me with one heck of a book hangover. For me, this book ties Archer's Voice for favorite reads and is definitely a top read of 2018.

Mia Sheridian has given readers a gut wrenching emotion fueled book with sorrow and affection written into each and every chapter. I could not put this book down I read it late into the night. More Than Words is different from her other book it is like a different side of her poured her heart and soul into this book you could feel the tears she cried and the laughter she laughed while writing. A ABSLOUTE MUST READ! BEST BOOK OF 2018 I HAVE READ SO FAR!

In More Than Words we meet Jessica she is a girl looking to find her prince just like every other girl in the world. She comes upon Callen they meet when they are pre teens and due to the backgrounds they have they become each other safety nets. Jessica falls head over heels for Callen and one day he is just gone, She is utterly heart broken and knows Callen is her one and she don't think she can ever move on.

As time passes and Callen runs into Jessica and the sparks are still there, but due to the time in between and the secrets that are hidden deep the love they share goes thru trials of betrayal and hurt..

“Live fiercely and without regret.”
A love story filled with such real heart ache that you can’t help but fall in love with each flawed yet beautiful character. I loved the history aspect of the story, it was such a breath of fresh air. Like nothing I’ve read before.

“Because I understood now. Some battles could only be fought alone.”

Mia never fails. That’s all that I can say. She never fails to tell a magical story every time she releases a book. When I finish her books, I feel like I am a new and cleansed person. And her stories are rare. They aren’t ones that I have read before.

“But I also knew now that life was more than words. It was laughter and love, faith and joy. And mostly, it was the deep peace that came from living life fiercely and without regret.”

I had an issue though, but I can consider it a minor one. I wanted to have more of the past. Both Jessie and Callen had troubled pasts that affected their present (hence why they are both closed off people) and they state that multiple times so some more history of when they were kids would have been amazing. We get a couple of flashbacks but not what I felt I needed to understand them more.
Mia writes some of the best conflicted characters. Flawed. Beautiful. Loud characters that want to be heard by you. That’s my favorite thing about her as a writer. Jessie and Callen were no exception. She made sure you not only felt them, but that you heard them too.

I loved the dual POV. When I’m reading I love nothing more than getting the male POV in a lot of situations and Mia pleased me with this one. You get the POV of the person at the times that you need it and I LOVE that.

For the people who loved Archer’s Voice, More Than Words will take you back to a place that you are familiar with. A place that you will love to be in. When you finish the book, you’ll have a huge smile on your face that you can’t wipe off no matter how hard you try.
