This was pretty much what I expected. The characters had some growth, but not anything revelatory. There were characters upon characters, some of whom could have been omitted, and interwoven storylines that were sometimes a stretch. Some of the plot points worked out way too neatly. It's a fun read, and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to zone out and be a part of the East Coast upper class for a day or two.

I've read every book by Lauren Weisberger, and I cannot think of a single one I didn't enjoy; however, this may be my favorite of her last few. Of course I know and love one of the main charecters, Emily Charlton, and I fell in love with Miriam and Karolina pretty early on in the book. This is perfect for weekend reading or for beach reading. I'm going through some very serious issues in my life, and this was one of the only things that was able to ease my troubled mind at times, and that speaks volumes. It was a fun, frothy, funny, escapist book, and I cannot wait to read the next book by Lauren Weisberger.

I absolutely adore Lauren Weisberger and I was beyond excited for the opportunity to review Life Gives You Lululemons!

Miranda’s former assistant (Emily) is one of the key characters in this book. I was hooked from thr first page.

The book alternates Emily, her friend growing up Miriam (an attorney) and Korolina Hartwell, former model married to a Senator.

The situations the ladies endure are nuts, but they do it together. . Together the three ladies find themselves in unexpected circumstances.

I read this book every chance I could. I lost sleep because I couldn’t put it down.
I will definitely be recommending this to my friends.

I will be the first to admit that I am a Bravo-aholic. I love those mindless, funny, sometimes cringe-worthy housewives shows. I was also a huge "Lipstick Jungle" and "Sex and the City" fan. Watching those characters allowed me to escape from my own (very ordinary) world for a while. "When Life Gives You Lululemons" accomplished that, as well.

If you are looking for something thought-provoking and serious....this is NOT your book. There really is nothing intellectually stimulating in these pages -- and I love it! Life is way too serious most of the time, so it was nice to escape into the world of Miriam, Emily, and Karolina for a while. The characters were funny and refreshing; nobody was perfect (except Karolina did come very close and yet I still loved her). And while the content wasn't rocket science, it is obvious that Lauren Weisberger is an educated and intelligent writer. I liked that.

I loved the timeliness of the book. There were references to the #metoo movement, Donald Trump, and to all of the most current fads. That made it fun and fresh.

This was definitely an addictive book that I couldn't wait to get home and read at night. Now that I am done, I miss the characters and their sassy personalities, their everyday struggles, and their personal thoughts. This was voyeurism at its finest!

2.5 stars. This was okay. I read until the end, but definitely found myself wanting to skip Emily's chapters entirely and just read Miriam's and Karolina's. And 3/4 of the way through, I wanted to skip Miriam's, too. The premise was fine, but there was no reason for this to be a Miranda Priestly book. I fear Weisberger is going to abuse one of the best characters ever for relevance.

Thanks to NetGalley for the free ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you for the opportunity to review this galley. However, it is marked at DNF due to my not being able to get into the story. Please advise if you still want a formal review. Thanks!

More please!! I loved this book and would have read a sequel, additional chapter, etc. Fast paced, witty, sexy. I could re read Last Night at Chateau Marmount and would do the same for this.

Ha! While this author's books always leave me feeling just a little bit frazzled, they also entertain quite nicely! This is "The Devil Wears Prada' all grown up....she's moved to the suburbs and is living the "dream life" (which is really more of a botoxed nightmare) with all of the other Stepfords. I felt angry, a little bit disgusted (especially at some of the surgical descriptions), and ultimately happy with the outcome of the story. This is a quick read, so hunker down with it on a rainy day.

I LOVE The Devil Wears Prada series and I was so excited to get my hands on the newest installment, When Life Gives You Lululemons! Remember Emily Charlton, Miranda Priestly’s former assistant from TDWP (played my Emily Blunt in the movie)?!? Well this addictive novel follows Emily, her childhood friend Miriam and Supermodel Korolina Hartwell through some pretty crazy situations. Together the three ladies find themselves in unexpected circumstances personally and with the help from one another, manage to find their new normals.

I completely devoured this novel! I was in the mood for a smart, witty and entertaining read and this book 100% fit that bill! I am always blown away how Lauren Weisberger can incorporate current pop culture with relatable women’s issues to create a hilariously captivating storyline! The flow was perfect without any parts that lagged-love that! This 5 star novel NEEDS to be made into a movie! If you are looking for the perfect beach read than When Life Gives You Lululemons is the book for you!

When Life Gives you Lululemons is another book in The Devil Wears Prada series, following Emily in her time after Runway and her relationship with two other women, Miriam and Karolina. This book is a very light and enjoyable read, and very well-written; that is, until you compare it with The Devil Wears Prada. In fact, I think that is Weisberger's biggest problem as an author. It's hard to compete with your own insanely successful book.

That being said, I loved reading about Emily, Miriam, and Karolina. I did think the book relied a bit too heavily on stereotypes (cheating politician? overweight, worn-out mom?), but all-in-all, I would still recommend this summer read!

I received this book free from NetGalley in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion.

A fun, uncomplicated, easy read. I love Emily as a character and it was great catching up with her. She says things that make me laugh out loud while I'm reading, which is rare. I also loved Karolina, and her story was really satisfying.

I did have a couple of issues with the book: 1. I didn't really care for Miriam. I found her to be a boring character, and I didn't understand why she wasn't trying to talk to her husband more about their marital problems. She came off as a pushover, IMO. Also, 2. I hated the ending for Emily. I won't go into it because I don't want to spoil, but it didn't make a lot of sense based on what I know about her character thus far. Maybe I'm in the minority?

All that said, I would definitely recommend this book as a good beach read. The enjoyable parts more than make up for the parts I didn't like, and Weisberger is a very funny writer. Also, who doesn't love spending more time with Miranda Priestly?

...That's all. ;)

Although never having read the previous books in this series, it’s unnecessary. This book is a perfect beach read. Requires no deep thought process, and sometimes that’s the kind of book you want to read.

Sometimes we just need a fun read, this is it. Great satire of life in the ultra-rich suburbs. This story of 3 women and their mutual support is lovely, especially when one is vilified by her political husband.

Emily, Miriam and Karolina come together and show us how strong and smart women are.

Weisberger even manages to bring back the iconic Miranda Priestley for a cameo appearance. Fun to see these crusading women who are savvy, capable and manage to get everything right.

There are times when a great read leaves us happy, this is one of those.

This is a super fun read. Another in the Devil Wears Prada series with all the twists and turns you would expect from Lauren Weisberger. There is some truth in all her characters and plenty to worry and laugh about in their troubles. I would definitely recommend this to all my friends.

Emily, former assistant of Miranda Priestly, fears she is losing her edge as several high profile clients drop her. She ends up visiting a childhood friend Miriam that has just given up her job as a lawyer in New York City and has moved with her family to the suburbs. What she doesn't expect is that the visit to Connecticut will not only salvage her career but also change her life. Helping former model and current wife of a Senator recover from a life changing event gives Emily and Miriam a new purpose. A story of friendship and finding yourself. it will have you laughing and cringing and cheering for these women.

I received a free copy of this book through Netgalley, and I was very pleased. I had read The Devil Wears Prada, but none of Weisberger's other novels.

This was so fun. I enjoyed the book a lot. There's female bonding, luscious clothes and homes, gorgeous relationships and some really fun moments.

While sold as from Emily's point of view, the novel equally explores three women in crisis: one who gave up her career to be a stay at home mom in judgment filled and plastic surgery crazy Connecticut, a former model who is spurned by her politician husband, and Emily, who is watching her career spiral downward.

All in all, the novel moved quickly, had some fun moments, and is perfect for a day at the beach.

I had given up on Lauren Weisberger after Revenge Wears Prada, but she pulled me back in. Not bad at all.
