HE SET HER UP. THEY’LL BRING HIM DOWN.

Welcome to Greenwich, Connecticut, where the lawns and the women are perfectly manicured, the Tito’s and sodas are extra strong, and everyone has something to say about the infamous new neighbor.

Let’s be clear: Emily Charlton does not do the suburbs. After leaving Miranda Priestly, she’s been working in Hollywood as an image consultant to the stars, but recently, Emily’s lost a few clients. She’s hopeless with social media. The new guard is nipping at her heels. She needs a big opportunity, and she needs it now.

When Karolina Hartwell, a gorgeous former supermodel, is arrested for a DUI, her fall from grace is merciless. Her senator-husband leaves her, her Beltway friends disappear, and the tabloids pounce.

In Karolina, Emily finds her comeback opportunity. But she quickly learns Greenwich is a world apart and that this comeback needs a team approach.

So it is that Emily, the scorned Karolina, and their mutual friend Miriam, a powerful attorney turned stay-at-home suburban mom, band together to not only navigate the social land mines of suburban Greenwich but win back the hearts of the American public. Along the way, an indispensable ally emerges in one Miranda Priestly.

With her signature wit, Lauren Weisberger offers an alluring look into a sexy, over-the-top world—and proves it’s style and substance together that gets the job done.

A perfect addition to the Devil Wears Prada series. I love seeing where all these characters have gone. Weisberger always does a great job crafting such intricate characters, stories and environments. They never fail to be enjoyable dramatic reads. Would recommend to anyone who is a fan of the series.

I received an advanced copy of this book from Netgalley. As always, thank you Netgalley for the opportunity to read and review this book.

I read Devil Wears Prada years ago - well before the movie came out. I enjoyed the movie as well! I did not see the need for a sequel, so I never actually read book 2. Given that it's been probably 13+ years since I read the original, I am not sure why I didn't pick up the sequel, other than it didn't have the best reviews. And maybe I didn't care for Andy much.

That being said, Emily was always one of my favorite characters, made even more so by Emily Blunt playing her in the movie. (Apparently she's in book 2 as well? Ah well.) This book focuses on her and some new friends, Miriam and Karolina, though there is a brief popup of Andy and Miranda. (Did Andy name her daughter CLEMENTINE? I cannot.)

Overall, this was a light read that I needed and have been looking for the past few weeks. Emily is wonderfully brash, and I even enjoyed Miriam and Karolina. I would love to see this turned into a movie with Emily Blunt (and of course some wonderful guests appearances!) Overall, there isn't anything earth shattering or new here - the story is a bit predictable overall. And the obsession with weight is still a bit too much for me.

This is the 3rd book in the Devil Wears Prada series and I loved it. It wasn’t as good as The Devil Wears Prada, but it was much better than the sequel Revenge Wears Prada. This one focused on Emily Charlton, the bitchy senior assistant from the 1st book and I loved her and the two other characters that made up the story. I enjoyed seeing how her character has grown between all three books and how it still had a dash of Devil Wears Prada to it with the fashion and viciousness of the mommy-set of Greenwich, CT.
