I love getting these - thank you! I always appreciate knowing what new books are getting the best buzz. Looking forward to a few!
These excerpts always make me so impatient for the release dates! A great selection of books yet again, April looks like it's got some great books coming up.
If you are an obsessive reader like I am, you may find it difficult to find enough books to read. And, since most books are expensive, you probably like to make sure that you will like a book before actually buy one. Unfortunately, most of the times, readers only get to read a short summary or a short excerpt from the first chapter.
On the other hand, In Buzz Books Monthly, gives a plethora of ways to check out a book. Firstly, this book gives a page or two summary of the book. This is then followed by the FULL first chapter of each book. If the first chapter is short, they include a second chapter. After the sample, the book follows up with information about the author. I like that because it often lists other books they have written and, any awards they may have won. Plus, it, also, may give me information about what makes this author an authority on the subject of the book which is, certainly, important for non-fiction book.
The April book gives excerpts from four novels and three non-fiction books. When I was done reading this, I knew which books I wanted to read. Therefore, I feel comfortable spending money to buy any of my chosen books. Another advantage of Buzz Books, I found some new authors to add to my list. I also like that this comes out every month, which keeps me up-to-date on the latest books.
The greatest advantage of this book is that you can get it for FREE on Amazon!
This was helpful to see upcoming new releases! I like that it's organized in multiple ways (by genre and by date)!
A lot of books were added to my to-read pile!
This Buzz book didn't have as many books catch my attention as most, however the books that sounded good sounded AMAZING.
This I Know, by Eldonna Edwards sounds like a really strange read, conceptually. But if the preview is any indication, the novel is incredible. The book starts out in the womb. Yeah, I know what you are thinking "pass. Not for me" , but Edwards carries out this off scene flawlessly. I can hardly wait to read the rest of the book.
The other book that captivated me was Mohammed Al Samawi's The Fox Hunt . I usually have trouble getting into non fiction, but this preview was grippimg. It was fast paced, intriguing and left me worried for Samawi. I'm considering it a personal "must read".
Informative.
I appreciate the excerpts and detailed descriptions that go into these previews.
Thanks again Netgalley.
Great summary of what to look out for this month! Titles by some of my favorites are on the horizon.
I really enjoy buzz books and their sample books! I love finding out what is my next big read or most anticipated read and discovering new authors!
As usual, a great selection of books coming out in April to be put on my TBR list!
Always find this monthly preview helpful! Thank you for providing.
Thank you, Publishers Lunch, for putting together this collection of books to be released in April, which seems to be a good month for new releases! Although each seems intriguing, I was more drawn to the nonfiction selections, namely The Fox Hunt: A Refugee's Memoir of Coming to America and The Neuroscientist Who Lost Her Mind: My Tale of Madness and Recovery.
Buzzbooks never lets me down. I especially appreciate the list of books that are not sampled.
I always love these and look forward to them every month. There are definitely many here worth taking a look at and I'm excited for their release.
A great preview of upcoming titles. Loved the excerpts and looking forward to the release of several titles!
Another awesome sneak peek at all the books coming in April. Loved the excerpts and so excited to see how the books turn out!
At this point, I feel like a broken record, but I am always thrilled when the next Buzz Books Monthly comes out! As a result of this April addition, I've added at least four to my behemoth TBR and requested another galley. April is going to be another wonderful reading month!
I find these "buzz books" publications very helpful and appreciate their availability
I always look forward to these! Great selection of April releases.
I enjoyed several of these books from the excerpts, most notably the non-fiction title The Neuroscientist Who Lost Her Mind by Barbara K. Lipska, I also found Meredith Goldstein’s book excerpt intriguing, Cant Help Myself. I look forward to reading both of these books.
Another great resource for noteworthy book releases (information, excerpts, links, and more) in the month of April!
