I don't know if it was the PDF I was sent to review or not, but the entire cookbook is very low resolution to the point of being blurry. The photos are unappealing. Looking past that, I'm not excited enough about any of the recipes to be willing to make them.

I really wanted to love this cookbook, as I am currently eating low carb and the cover art looked amazing. However, none of the recipes/photographs inspired me to jump in the kitchen, I am sure they are delicious, but would recommend this book to someone who has gone low-carb and is really missing bread, or has a sweet tooth.

The recipes in this book sound delicious! I have not gotten to make them yet but they look and sound amazing and I am already adding some to next week's menu!

Most of the recipes seem simple, relatively quick and use well known and accessible ingredients, which equals a winner in my book!

I love how it even has a vegetarian section as well since we don't eat very much meat. There are also pictures for all (or close to all) of the recipes and nutritional facts are included!

A lot of the recipes did look good, however a lot of the ingredients are difficult for the every day person to find. The different breads and desserts looked so good but it would take a bit to find all of the ingredients. The jarred salads and so on looked AMAZING and so easy to make.

Thank you to Sandra Stupning, Mirco Stupning,
DK publishers, and NetGalley for the advanced reviewer copy of “Low Carb On The Go: More Than 80 Fast, Healthy Recipes - Anytime, Anywhere” in return for an honest review.

This book is a lovely copy for the purpose it has. There is not much here, though, which brings it above the mark of so many other dozens of books of its ilk, and so it’s hard for me to sing its praises entirely.

The pictures are gorgeously clear, colorful examples of the recipes in question, but I found myself constantly distracted by the color changing of the background pages. I’m hoping the later is only something that exists in the ebook early review copy as it detracts from the focus on the recipes and pictures.

Loved this book. As a die hard fan of the low carb lifestyle, this book gives some creative ideas for eating on the go.

I enjoy a good cookbook and this was wonderful. Carbs are something that seems to be everywhere you go and this book helps someone who enjoys bread find another way to eat healthily without not having to give up taste and flavor.

Low Carb on the Go by Sandra Stupning

This is a quick read cookbook. Probably not one I’ll refer to for years to come BUT it has some really creative ideas for eating low carb that I know I’ll remember for the future!

Aside from the bread recipes, there aren’t a million complicated ingredients used. (And the ones in the bread recipes are there for good reason - to make the impossible- low carb bread!!!)

All in all great cookbook - lots of pictures and simple recipes! Love that most of them can be made ahead of time and store in a glass jar!

I am a stay at home mom but during the school year I stay very busy with volunteering and during the summer I stay busy with keeping the kids busy so it is good to have some portable food that works well on the go. There are definitely some good recipes here, I plan to try the kimchi, and the oops bread recipes first, and I like that the nutrition facts are listed for each recipe at the bottom of the page. I didn't like that fiber count wasn't included because I find that to be an important part of each meal as well, but of course for any person doing a low carb diet fat and protein counts are the most important and I like that it is listed right on each recipe page to make counting macros that much easier. I think anyone looking to have healthy meals on the go would get great use out of this cookbook, but would especially recommend it to people who follow a low carb lifestyle.

When I first requested this book I thought it would have family friendly recipes or easy to make recipes, it I didn’t enjoy any of the recipes and felt they were more on the vegan side than anything. I think it would be a good book but I just didn’t enjoy it that much.

This is a wonderful book for people like me, who do not have many low-carb take-out options where they work. I depend on taking my own lunches to work in order to stay healthy. This book helps me to try new recipes instead of always bringing the same lunch to work. The presentation of all dishes is extremely beautiful. For example, although it hardly takes any time time to assemble the ingredients, the Lime Mandarin Yogurt looks like a work of art. Right now I eat keto and the carb count in many of the recipes can be lowered even more, for example by switching agave syrup with keto friendly sweeteners. I cannot wait to bite into the Cottage Baguette or the Nut Bread. They look so hearty! The Oopsies are a genius replacement for hamburger buns. They are so easy to make and I have to admit that I would never have come up with this recipe on my own. There are even recipes to satisfy my sweet tooth, like the Cream-filled Sandwich Cookie with only five grams of carbs per serving. Overall I am delighted with this cookbook and can only recommend it.

Low carb doesn’t mean no carb! Great explanation of good carbs and bad carbs and other useful info for the person who wants to eat low carb! There are more than eighty recipes for low carb meals and snacks too! I am very interested in different ways of thinking about eating the low carb way. Even though I love to use fresh ingredients, some of the recipes here were not really good for me
because I don't like to spend time and money in the grocery store buying items that are not things that I would use again. Interesting book and great pictures make this a good addition to anyone's library.

I assumed, based on the title, the recipes would be relatively quick, easy, and budget-friendly but that's not the case. The abundance of special ingredients--protein powders, locust bean gum, cream of tartar, psyllium husk powder, etc.--required does not make this affordable for the average person. The photos are nicely staged and look good, but there are many better low-carb/keto cookbooks available.

Even eating a low carb diet is possible on the go with this cookbook. Authors helps you through all the steps and recipes of these yummy foods. It is a go to on the go book you'll find helpful and useful.

Unfortunately I did not find any of the recipes compelling enough to make. Though it is a low carb book, almost all recipes included cheese or dairy. A nice bonus is the nutritional information on each recipe.

Very nice cookbook! The photos of the finished recipes were an added plus for me. I liked the carb breakdown for each dish...very helpful. Nice layout too.

I was so looking forward to read this book, but I had an issue downloading this copy.

While this book started out strong in the introduction and discussion of the benefits of a low-carb diet it sort of fizzled out in the recipe section.

The recipes were a bit standard variety that you see on Instagram or performing a basic Google search.

I was hoping that this book would offer something more than just pretty photos of salads in a jar or images of protein packed lunches you'd find on Pinterest. It seemed to me that a large portion of the book featured vegetarian meals, which is helpful if you don't eat meat and need to bolster protein but I'm not that reader. I didn't see a lot of innovation.
