I found that this book was very difficult for me to finish without putting down. I liked the light hearted nature of it, but at many points, it crossed the line from cute and light hearted, to ridiculous.

Ian was a little inconsistent. He had several moments where he was very Castiel and knew nothing of the human world, and then at other moments he'd be sprouting off about past participles, Lovecroft, and so on.

What I did like was how open and accepting Ronnie was, particularly her mentions of other characters who may or may not have been transgendered or non-binary. I also appreciated the way her anxiety and OCD were portrayed, but at points the scenes with she, Teresita, Ian and Sasha felt a bit like a Scooby Doo montage, everyone goofily running around from door to door to door and Teresita especially had no sense of tact, spouting off about her friend being a badass dragon hunter superhero to everyone they ran across.

The romance between Ian and Ronnie seemed unbelievable. Even during the active parts of their relationship they didn't seem to have any chemistry from Ian's end, and the switching from 1st person to 3rd person POV was off-putting and it jarred me every single time it happened.

Overall instead of being a cute read with a few annoying moments, it was a book I did not enjoy with a few cute moments thrown in.

Ian is often confused with his woman's decisions, "Ian stood panting before me, blood dripping from a nasty gash over his left eye. “Tell me, do you always announce to demons that they have options other than violence?” Ian doesn't want to admit it, but he's overly sensitive about some things, “then why wouldn’t you consider a relationship with me?” I loved that Ronnie was just open on all things, “my boobs miss your hands.” Veronica’s back arched when he took her breasts in his hands." I liked this book, I really liked Ronnie and Ian.
