Good Time Cowboy is another adorable book in Maisey Yates' Gold Valley series. It is another must read! I can hardly wait to see what comes next in this amazing series!

Good Time Cowboy is the third book in the Gold Valley series by Maisey Yates. Somehow I missed the release of the second book. Each book stands alone just fine, but I'll still have to go back and grab that one. This was Wyatt and Lindy's story. These two have been let down by important people in their lives, and it's impacted them greatly. Without giving too much away, neither one of them wants anything to do with love let alone a relationship that is any kind of serious. So, they start a fling of sorts. It's not that easy though. This story really pulls at the heartstrings. When it's not pulling, it's steaming up the pages. Lindy and Wyatt are electric, and that really comes through as you read. Their chemistry and the attraction is palpable. I was hooked on this book from the beginning and couldn't put it down.

I highly recommend this book. Cindy Parker owns a vineyard she received in her divorce. Wyatt is a friend of her x-husbznds. Sparks always seem to fly when ever they are second each other, but both are trying to keep their businesses thriving. Can they overcome the ammonocity and work together and maybe more.

Thank you Netgalley and harlequin for allowing me to read this title for an honest review.

Wyatt Dodge was the love’m & leave’m type a true cocky bull rider. Wyatt left home at the age of 17 and after years of being on his own his father, challenges him in the one fight Wyatt refuses to lose. In walked Lindy Parker.

Lindy Parker is a divorced, shunned lady with a bag of past and present self issues. Lindy considered herself a true mess of a lady, but she is determined not to let her walls down for any man again. In walked Wyatt Dodge.

Wyatt and Lindy have great sensual chemistry hands down. They both are connected through Lindy’s failed marriage and through the joint business opportunity. Wyatt has a past that has been creeping back on him it is not till the end where we learn his heart. Lindy wanted a better life in which she got, but as it turns out she was blessed in some ways not so in others. Her world crumbled. Can Lindy convenience Wyatt that L.O.V.E is really worth the chance? Will Wyatt be able to show Lindy that she is so much more as herself. Only time will tell if they can survive their pass.

Supporting characters were and amazing, even Damien Lindy’s ex gave a nice layer to the plot, but please tell me why Sara-Beth did not see Lindy’s palm on her face. (I know I wanted too )I think why I love series so much is that authors like Maisey Yates keeps the heart going between all the characters. I enjoyed seeing and getting to know old and new characters.

The plot is full of strong character building, a few healing moments along with so incredible sexy ones. *Grr* Good Time Cowboy the title matches Wyatt to a “T”. Wyatt wanting what he thought he should not want, being challenged by his father to get “Get Out of Dodge” the family ranch making money. Lindy needing to show everyone that she deserved what she got out of her divorce and that she could make Grassroots Winery a success.

Good Time Cowboy by Maisey Yates is a delightful and quick read. Adorable cowboys like you’ve come to expect from Yates writes quirky testy females well too. This is such a fun read.

Who doesn't love a enemies to lovers trope, mixed in with Maisey Yates and cowboys and you've got a good combination.
I really Lindy and Wyatt and it was fun seeing them try and fight their attraction to each other and fail spectacularly.

Maisey Yates is one of my favorite go to authors. I love the continuity to her stories as they link back to the same town and area and often past characters are mentioned or featured in newer books. I always anticipate the next book coming out because I want to read more about characters that are teased in previous books. I was not a fan of Wyatt until this book. Lindy had such a hard time in her past that I did not think Wyatt as I knew him, was good enough for her. That all changed after I read this story. I love the background and details that the author gives to her characters as it makes a reader invested in their relationship and care that it works out for them in the end. I am looking forward to ready about the rest of the Dodge clan and Lindy's brother Dane.

Maisey Yates is the queen of star-crossed lovers. She illuminates the couples’ struggles poignantly and believably. With Yates, honorable decisions don’t preclude self-awareness and honesty. Even if the honesty is reserved for the privacy of one’s own mind, like Lindy admitting to herself that, “her visceral reaction to Wyatt five years ago had felt so very, very wrong.” A married woman can’t share with her girlfriends that she’s lusting over a bull rider. And a bull rider isn’t about to bellyache over beers with his bros that a married lady has him all in a lather.

What finally makes it possible for vineyard owner Lindy Parker to explore her seismically buried lust with rancher Wyatt Dodge? First, she’s free, free, free at last of her cheating, no-good husband. When Lindy spotted him kissing a much younger Grassroots Winery employee, she didn’t get mad, she got even: “she had managed to get full ownership of Damien’s family winery, Grassroots Winery.” There’s nothing she won’t do for her winery—including making a deal with the devil aka Wyatt Dodge, retired bull rider, now working full-time at his family’s spread, the Get Out of Dodge ranch.

She loved the winery, but unfortunately it was that work that brought her to the Get Out of Dodge ranch now—and bringing her into contact with a man that she liked less than cooked carrots.

Bull rider. Manwhore. Friend of her ex-husband.

That’s a lot of heat Lindy. Methinks the viticulturist doth protest too much. Lindy has a really good idea – that the two operations do a joint barbecue. The barbecue “would showcase the grounds of the dude ranch and the wines from Grassroots,” so win/win. Cooperating rather than competing.

He had people coming to stay on his property, and she had booze. That meant they were natural bedfellows.

When it came to business.

Yates is great with the double-entendres. Readers are all in, hoping Lindy and Wyatt will take a chance on each other and move beyond their doubts. It’s past time “for them to dance toward each other,” isn’t it? When they show up at the local watering-hole, Lindy is torn.

She should tell him to go away. She should dump what remained of her beer in his lap and walk out of the bar.

But she didn’t move. Instead, she sat there, staring at him. At the planes and angles of his handsome face, at the enticing curve of his mouth. The only part of him that didn’t look sculpted, hard. No, it looked like it would mold right to hers. Or like it would mobilize easily to take control, to force her to conform to his shape.

She shivered.

And she knew without a doubt that he noticed too.

He didn’t miss anything.

Take it away Wyatt. Will they be happy together after they throw caution to the winds? Yes. They have bedrock values in common. They know how to compromise. How to work hard. And darn it all, paraphrasing Al Franken’s SNL character Stuart Smalley, ‘They’re Good Enough, They’re Smart Enough, and Doggone It, People Like Them’ … Readers will have a great time with Good Time Cowboy: Lindy and Wyatt more than deserve their long-awaited HEA.

I love reading Maisey Yates when I need a reprieve from all the heavy dramas I have been reading. Something about her cowboys are irresistible; and Wyatt Dodge did not disappoint!

Lindy on the other hand took a bit of time to warm up too, but the electricity these two had made for a fun, quick read.

For at least two books now (definitely for the other full-size Gold Valley books, IDK for sure about the novellas...they tend to focus more on the main couple, so that's mostly what I remember about them) I've been dying for Wyatt and Lindy's story. It was clear that there was something there--all that delicious antagonism on her part and snarky cockiness on his had to be going somewhere--and phew, what a place it got to! Good Time Cowboy was pretty much everything I could have hoped for with its angsty, enemies-to-lovers goodness :)

As usual with a Maisey Yates book, even though you think you might know a character from the bit parts they play in another story, there's always so much more to them below the surface. Lindy and Wyatt are absolutely no exceptions to this rule--for them, issues in their pasts have caused both of them to shut others out, believing that anything that needs to be fixed can only be done by themselves alone. Outwardly they come off as totally different--Wyatt's a "good time" former rodeo star-turned-rancher who doesn't "do" relationships and Lindy's a divorcee who's thrown everything she has into making her business a success--but underneath they both have remarkably similar problems to resolve before they can let each other in. Whether they're snarking at each other, communicating via email, attempting to have a "no strings" relationship together, or just deep in conversation, I loved every second of these two on the page and can't wait to get glimpses of them together in future books :)

Bring on Grant's book; I'm ready!

(As usual, Good Time Cowboy should work fine as a standalone--though past characters show up, you don't have to have read their books to appreciate this one. I make no promises that those glimpses won't make you want to read their books, though!)

Enemies to somewhat kismet lovers. I’m kind of surprised that Wyatt and Lindy came as the stars of book 3 and there wasn’t more build up for the tension in their relationship in the background of a couple more books.

I liked Wyatt more than I liked Lindy to start, but she grew on me. And I like both the little towns Yates has created in Copper Ridge and Gold Valley. I’ll keep reading them as they keep coming out.

I've been looking forward to Lindy's story since we met her in Smooth-Talking Cowboy and Maisey Yates did not disappoint when telling the heroine's story! She and Wyatt have had an adversarial relationship since they were introduced and so it goes without saying that there was a lot of push and pull in this enemies-to-lovers tale! While the story was a little slow, with a lot of inner monologue as opposed to actual (effective) communication between the two characters, it was also full of heart and genuine emotion, which I've come to realize is a trademark for the author. Good Time Cowboy (and other Maisey Yates books) are great for when you want a character driven story, set in a wonderful small town, with delightful side characters that you just want to get to know more about. I did really enjoy the book, but there were times when I just wanted the pace to pick up a bit and that got a bit frustrating. I am invested in to these characters now, so I will be continuing on with the series nonetheless. 3.5 out of 5 wine glasses.

Wyatt and Lindy have been squaring off since they first appeared as side characters in previous books. Wyatt’s been pushing Lindy’s buttons while she tried to freeze him out and keep her distance. Too bad for Lindy that they’re partnering up for business because they’re about to get a lot more time together. Lindy’s promoting wines and tours through her vineyard using Wyatt’s horses, and Wyatt is featuring the experience as an excursion available to his new ranch/inn guests. There’s been a love/hate thing going on between these two because of the history and that’s about to come to a head.

I love how Maisey Yates gets to the heart of her characters and their motivations, and that’s part of what makes them so hot is that you get their emotions before there’s anything physical between them. There’s a delicious buildup between Lindy and Wyatt! Loved that even though there were some bumps in the road for their relationship there wasn’t any over-the-top drama.

I’m really looking forward to Grant’s romance, because that man deserves some loving! And I really hope there’s a romance for Bea and Dane! She’s got such a massive, intense crush on Dane that I’m a little afraid her heart might get squashed, but I’m crossing my fingers that he finally opens his eyes to Bea!

The first two books in this series introduced Lindy Parker. She owns the local vineyard having gained ownership when her former husband cheated on her. While many townspeople think of her as a gold digger (she grew up on the "wrong" side of town), his sisters have stuck with her. Also sticking with her, at least in one sense, her ex's best friend, Wyatt Dodge.

Wyatt was struck by Lindy's beauty the first time he saw her. But she was his best friend's wife. His former best friend. Now Wyatt and Lindy are trying to work together to boost both their businesses. Too bad Wyatt doesn't actually own the family ranch. Especially bad since his father is holding it over his head. So much going on in his life and now... he and Lindy seem to be getting closer personally.
I think regular Yates readers will be pleased. I was a little disappointed by the book being somewhat repetitive. It could have been about 30 pages less and a pleasurable read.

I love Wyatt. I love the way he comes off as easygoing and not caring but deep inside he cares a great deal and feels so much. His guilt is hard to see only because he shouldn’t feel any. He feels he needs to repent for his past and he doesn’t. He is a powder keg and when he blows it will be the release he needs and will help him heal and go on. Wyatt is the one who takes care of everyone but himself for he has closed himself off in fear of being hurt again. He has had to pick himself up so many times that now he doesn’t want to need anyone. ONly when Lindy walked into his world five years ago she started to break that wall and now that she is free she is crashing it down.

Lindy is a strong stubborn character. She is trying to prove something to others and along the way loses herself. She doesn’t think she is easy to love and can love but she is wrong. Her and Wyatt have a explosive relationship. Two peas in a pod at first. Both trying not to need others but they drive each other nuts. She is one that is very structured and he is laid back. She is kind and caring but with Wyatt she is sassy and bold. These two give us some great banter and sexy moments even when disagreeing. I didn’t like her rules when they finally acted on their feelings. You could see how it hurt Wyatt but he didn’t say anything because again he felt he deserved it.

We see how Lindy heals and finds her way to who she is supposed to be and this is due to Wyatt’s honesty and support. He is there for her and shows her kindness, understanding and compassion. He sees her and not who she portrays. Lindy helps Wyatt as well for he begins to feel again and let someone in even when he fights it. The chemistry is explosive and that is how they begin their journey. It is Wyatt’s dad who helps Wyatt get to where he feels he can let Lindy in and love. The man who hurt him helps him heal. That scene is heartbreaking and warming for you see healing and a new relationship begin between them.

The story is sassy, fun and intimate. Sweet and fun. The characters you love and you see the love between family and friends as well as you read and fall in love with Lindy and Wyatt’s story of how the move on, heal and fall in love.

Finally Lindy's story. I have waited not so patiently for this one and it was great. Lindy is an awesome character. I could have read 5 more books just about her. The plot was good and the romance hot. What more do you need?!

With the perfect balance of fun banter and humor, deep emotions and life lesson and passionate romance the Good Time Cowboy shoots straight into the hearts of the readers and takes a fast hold. I absolutely adored this story, each moment of it, bringing up all the feels and emotions to the surface.
Lindy Parker and Wyatt Dodge have one of those connections that is tangible sizzling each time they just think of the other. The energy and attraction between them are palpable, undeniable, and fervent. They get each other, they recognize in the other the past hurt, disappointments, and heartache. There are moments between them that had me swooning hard and moments that brought tears to my eyes, there is an a-ha moment with Lindy that just blew me away, one of my favorite scenes in a book maybe ever. It just raddled me to the core.
The family drama is heartbreaking. How the parents' choices shaped their children's lives even after childhood was long behind them, and still affected their decision making and even their happiness, was an eye-opening moment, so realistic and revealing.
I have yet to read a book by the author that wouldn't have had me completely enamored. Maisey Yates writes about life and relationship in a way that readers all over the world can relate to the stories and reflect on them. She mixes deep emotions, life's struggles, humor, and romance in a perfect balance, always delivering the goods, leaving readers long for the next book. Thankfully, the wait is never that long.
Good Time Cowboy was one of those stories that I have eagerly anticipated, and Lindy and Wyatt, they won my heart over ten-fold while they entertained and had me alternately laughing, swooning, and in tears holding my breath waiting to exhale. Absolutely a marvelous tale, just like all the other books in the series.

Book #2 and I still love these characters. The chemistry between Wyatt and Lindy was smoking HOT. I loved how she did everything she could think off in order to hide her weaknesses and how he decided to help her stop doing that in order for her to because happy again. When she FINALLY let go of the hurt,it was a beautiful thing to read.

I think this is the first book I read where I liked female character more than I did the male...Strange, right?!?😉

I really enjoyed Wyatt and Lindy's story. I started out wanting to smack him, but by the end wanted to hold him close. Lindy has her moments too.
This one deals with two people, splintered since childhood and held together with a thick wall of ice. They each have parent issues and as a result had relationship issues too.
The connection between them was electric, but it took five years for them to be ready for someone in such an encompassing way.
Be sure to get your box of tissues. You'll need it by the time you find out exactly why Wyatt makes being a Good Time Cowboy an art form.
