Christmas books are my favorite at this time of year! I love that they’re usually quick to read and just a fun book. That’s why I picked this one up the other day. I needed a stress free read that I knew I was going to love. This one fit the bill!

I loved Carter. He made me laugh. Carter is an insurance adjuster. But he’s not like any other insurance adjuster I’ve ever heard of. He has a sense of humor and he’s creative. I had to laugh at the accident reports he wrote. They were probably my favorite part of the book! Unfortunately, they got him fired from his job. I also loved the way he decided in a snap that he was going to write a Christmas book.

Abby is great too! She’s a young woman who works at her uncle’s book shop/bakery. All the treats at the bakery in this one made me hungry. I want to make them all! I liked the way Abby was really concerned about her uncle, she wants to help him in any way she can. But she was also a bit clueless. I liked the way her character was a bit flawed and not quite perfect.

The way these two meet made me laugh too! Carter was the insurance adjuster for Abby’s accident. His name was listed on the report she got that her insurance had ended before her accident. So even though he’d been fired, she hunted him down to figure out what had happened. I loved the scene where she shows up on his doorstep.

There are so many great things about this one. I loved the cleverness of it. The love story was cute. This whole book is just fun! It’s a perfect Christmas story.

Carter is my kinda guy,! This was a great change to the typical kind of sappy kind of Christmas book. I REALLY HATE hallmark movies and everything along those lines. This was quite the opposite. I would read anything else by this author

I loved the writing aspect of this story! I highlighted lines throughtout the book of especially poignant quips. I loved watching Carter's conversion to Christmas. This had a sweet and clean romance, I'd rate G/PG for mention of car accidents and the theme of death.

If you are looking for a Christmas themed Hallmark feel-good movie in a book, this book is for you! The story is simple and charming and the characters, Abby and Carter are a bit generic but very likable. Carter is very quirky whereas Abby is the more serious type but their chemistry is very cute. This story has a bookstore as one of its main location which I love, a cafe, taking place in Christmas with likable characters. It has all the formula for a perfect Christmas rom-com novel and I enjoyed it.

Carter is an insurance adjuster who loves the written word and doesn't have much love for Christmas. He's got a bit of sass in him and when he meets Abby, a woman who loves everything about Christmas, well, the sparks begin to fly. But are their differences just too big to overcome?

I love how the author used humor in this story to really draw the main characters together. There were definitely some laugh out loud moments! This is more than just an afternoon romance, though. There are themes of love, loss, and healing that will make you stop and think about what is truly important in your life. Readers will find some great secondary characters in the book as well, including Uncle Mannie, who only wants what's best for Abby, but maybe doesn't go about helping her find "what's best" in the way we expect. I thought the author did a wonderful job of making each character relatable and the reader will definitely feel like part of the story as Carter and Abby try to figure out where they stand and maybe even find a Christmas miracle.

A wonderful way to start off my holiday season.

As anticipated, Christmas by Accident is a cute cozy mystery. The plot is engaging and entertaining. The characters are likeable and charming. Just enough mystery to keep your interest. A great light read. Thanks to NetGalley for an arc in exchange for an honest review.

This is a sweet Christmas romance that carries over into family love and illness. Carter isn't a fan of Christmas and Abby would have it year round. When Abby's uncle Mannie has an accident, insurance adjuster Carter comes into their lives. Mannie and Abby are getting their bookshop ready for the Christmas season and Mannie decides that Carter will be the perfect man for Abby when he leaves for heaven. I received a copy of this ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.

A wonderful 4 star read! This is a book that needs to be on everyone's must read Christmas shelf! Loved the way the author pulled me to the heart of the story, and kept me hooked until the end. Definitely 4 star worthy.

Thank you to Shadow Mountain Publishing and NetGalley for a copy of an e-ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This was a short, cute holiday story.

Carter is an insurance adjuster. Abby works for her uncle at a bookstore/cafe. Their paths cross after Abby has an accident.

Is their meeting also an "accident" or can it be something more?

Christmas By Accident is a quick, holiday read.

As you should know by now, I love a good light-hearted, festive read, the trashier, the better,  but this one almost lost me on so many occasions.

This is a classic boy meets girl at Christmas story. Abby loves Christmas and all the magic that it brings. Carter is your average Grinch and doesn't see the point in any of it. When Abby gets in a car accident, Carter is the insurance assessor. He finds a picture of Abby in her written-off car and pockets it. Abby becomes the object of carter's affection and things trundle on from there.

I don't know what it was about Carter, but he came across as a bit creepy and sad to me. I didn't like the way he took Abby's picture and kept secretly ogling her at work. I don't know whether I was subconsciously picturing him as a slightly over-weight, sweaty, creepy guy because he worked in insurance (sorry, Insurance Guys!), but for some reason I was. Descriptions such as  "Carter squeezed from his chair" didn't help.

I think it was mainly the descriptions that I had problems with, especially the way Carter described Abby as "slight of build" with a "princess chin". I mean, 1. Cliché much, and 2. What the hell is a princess chin? *rolls eyes*

It was really obvious to me that the author was male, and quite out-of-touch too. Don't get me wrong, I think more men should write in the romance genre, but unfortunately this one wasn't a shining example.

But all that being said, I stuck with it, and did eventually get invested in the story. In the end I'm kind of glad I didn't give up; it actually ended up being quite sweet, if not slightly off in its tone.

Christmas By Accident by Camron Wright explained perfectly the draw to Christmas books for so many. Carter is an insurance adjuster who is in the wrong job. He loves to create and tries to find ways to make his very boring job more creative. Often to the distress of his boss. When Carter learns of how many books are written for Christmas he decides he can write a Christmas book. He first researches by reading all the Christmas books he can find. As Carter studies Christmas books he find common themes of love, faith, home, scrooges, saints. The plots are trivial and hard to believe, but that doesn’t matter at Christmas, and there is always a Christmas miracle. When Carter meets Abby he learns if Christmas books are really true to life. Is Christmastime in fact filled with love, faith, hope and miracles?

Christmas books seem to be rather short and therefore not as much character development goes into the books as I like. But, I did enjoy Christmas By Accident. The characters were easy to know for the length of the book. They were a bit quirky and funny. I thought the plot was fun and enjoyed reading as Carter researches Christmas books. Along with the Christmas themes of love, hope, faith and miracles there was also the theme of finding a purpose for your life.

I would have loved this book more if it was longer and had more character development and if everything didn’t come so easily for everyone. But then I have to wonder if it would have fit with my love of Christmas books?

Christmas By Accident did fit my love for Christmas books and was a great, short read to fill those busy days that come with the Christmas holiday.

Oh, I loved this! It was a simple, fun, Hallmark-like Christmas book! A book to read around Christmas … or my case, a little more than a month before Christmas. :)

Carter and Abby were great characters! I love how Abby was a writer and editor! She works at a bookstore and café too!!! <3
Carter's a writer as well! When he decides to write a Christmas book - even though he doesn't like Christmas at all - because they're so popular, you can imagine how hard it is. I won't mention what he planned on calling his book either. XD

All the characters in this book had hilarious personalities and it was difficult not to like them!

One thing that I didn't like that much was the fact that Carter's Dad was okay with his wife remarrying … and he actually went to the wedding! Other than that though, it was a great read!

Content:
A couple non-detailed kisses. A few cheek kisses. Some hugs.

I knew when I requested to review this that it would be like a Hallmark movie/book and it definitely was!! But that's what makes it fun .. it was a very fun read! I'd definitely grab a copy of this in the future to re-read! I also love that there were recipes at the end of the book … they sound delicious!

Romance, clean
This was a lovely holiday romantic read, but also a story of family, of finding what really matters. Carter and Abby, along with Mannie her uncle and the host of supporting characters was a beautiful read. Even while critiquing the plethora of Christmas books written, it was a lovely, unique story, with honest, hurting characters, that were a pleasure to get to know. Healing, peace, love, secrets that come to light, and direction for all of them.
Christmas coincidences or accidents, or a Christmas miracle, you decide, but for me, I love the miracle! Beautifully poignant, heartfelt, and honest. I will certainly re-read this during the holiday season to bring some peace, joy, and hope to my celebration.

It was a cute story, but there were too many metaphors, which seemed to get in the way of the story. I loved that creative aspect of Camron Wright in a full-length fiction of his. But those same elements in this short story didn't work as well. It felt forced in such a short work. On the other hand, the main characters, Carter, Abby, and Mannie were all well developed with both good points and bad points. The ending delivered and stayed true to a happy Christmas story.

I've read several Christmas themed books lately even though Christmas is still 2+ months away. All the books have been good and while this one has a Christmas theme it is much more than just a holiday book. It is about finding love, terminal illness, doing what you love, and embracing life.

I really liked all of the characters. Carter has dreams beyond being an insurance adjuster, he just isn't sure what. All he knows is that he enjoys the written word and even embellishes insurance forms much to the chagrin of his superiors. He isn't wild about Christmas because of some bad memories. It is interesting to find out that perhaps those memories weren't quite 100% accurate. Abby loves Christmas, despite losing her parent at a young age, thanks to her Uncle Mannie that raised her from the age of 6. Mannie is quite a force himself and I think that he may be my favorite character. He does a few things that make Abby mad, but for good reason. I love that there is also a character named Seven. She is a hoot!

I enjoyed this book and it is a good holiday read (or any time of the year). A happy ending that is bittersweet.

Carter woks for an insurance company and likes to embellish what happened, when writing descriptions of car accidents.
Abby loves to start planning for Christmas early, by putting up a Christmas display in her work place. Carter and Abby meet in an unusual way.
A Hallmark type Christmas story that will have you cheering on the characters. I really liked Mannie.

This was short, sweet, fun story full of holiday cheer!

It reads as a bit of a parody of Christmas stories, which I think is helpful to know going into it, because the writing was pretty cheesy in the beginning. There were several things that made me laugh as it poked fun at itself and other Christmas stories. It gave me a very similar feel to Hallmark Christmas movies—I know they’re not the most profound or well-crafted stories but they make smile, feel good, and have Christmas cheer! This one had the added benefit of being self-aware of the cheesiness and repetitiveness of the stories while also bringing heart and meaning in.

I thought the premise of the main characters jobs (an insurance adjuster and a bookstore owner/part-time editor) and how they meet was a lot of fun. It would make for a fun movie!

A quick festive holiday read. It reminded me of watching a Hallmark Movie. It was everything I expected with heart warming holiday fuzzies. If you enjoy reading holiday stories, then you should pick this one up.

Enjoyable Christmas story about finding what matters: family. (3.5)

I did have a bit of trouble getting settled in though, especially with the time spent on Carter's writing process. I really liked Uncle Mannie, and his story line was my favorite.
