Reviewing for NetGalley

This was such a hard book to read. I like cliche books with fantastic maturing relationships but this just crushed my dream world. Her husband is awful and like any wife wanted to believe the best.. only just got through it

An excellent read and one that certainly keeps you guessing until the end. Melissa and Rob were high school sweethearts. Rob was a detective and Melissa was a stay at home Mum with a couple of kids and wrote a food blog.

After hearing the buzz of her mobile phone, Melissa finally found it, problem was it wasn't hers, or Robs. When she opened up, her world changed. She started to notice other things, the locking of the bathroom door, and a mark on Rob's neck, that wasn't there because of her.

Rob was becoming very secretive and of course Melissa's imagination was all over the place, especially when he no longer seemed to be there with her in spirit.

After an accident that occurs at Doggy Day Care with their dog Rocco, things turn from bad to worse and when Melissa confronts Rob, her worst fears are confirmed and she asks Rob to move out.

Rob's undercover op with his partner Celeste seems to be getting harder to hide and Rob is becoming concerned with Celeste's behaviour towards him.

When a break-in occurs and Rocco is hurt again, Melissa is made aware that her family may be the target of something very sinister going on.

Thanks to NetGalley and Elise Faber for the opportunity to read and review this enjoyable book.

This is book two in the Roosevelt Ranch series and it features Rob and Melissa. I love the action and drama and the characters were fantastic. I just don’t feel convinced that Rob didn’t do what Melissa accused him of. This author did such a good job at making Rob look guilty and I am now convinced he was. By the end of the book I was still convinced!

I am extremely happy with the outcome and I wish there were some sort of epilogue. I’m definitely looking forward to reading more of this series.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Found myself reading late into the night. I was anxious to see if Missy and Rob would be able to repair their marriage. It was great to see that Missy gained confidence and strength with the future contract for a cooking show; even while mourning for the marriage she once had. I loved the suspense element toward the end and felt like it was a good conclusion to their story. I had not read the first book in the series, but plan to do so now. I was given a copy of this book for my review and I would definitely recommend this to anyone who enjoys a good romance/suspense story.

Wow! What a ride this book was. When I picked it up, I thought it was going to deal with one subject and I so wanted to beat Rob up! I also wanted Melissa to do something but then the twist happened and I was just floored. This was an amazing ride and I loved every minute of it.

This book was an emotional romance with a good story line, several twists and characters that hold your interest.
It was the first book I've read by this author and even though it frustrated me at times, I thoroughly enjoyed it.

This was my first story in the series but I didn't feel like I was missing out anything having not read the other.

This was not my favorite subject as I don't usually enjoy secrets like this in the story. However, this was an interesting story as there aren't a lot of married couple romances out there. I didn't really like either character as it seemed like Melissa and Rob really needed to grow up and communicate. Most of their problems were from misunderstandings and I'd like to think couples married that long would be better than that.

Yet, the story did grab me and I ended up liking it for the most part. The ending was a little out there but I still didn't regret reading the story.

** spoiler alert **
This story appealed to me because of the married couple and the good reviews, but, in the end, I guess it just wasn’t for me and I didn’t finish it. It has plenty of domestic scenes that didn’t grab my attention, an unreasonable and unjustified lack of communication between the main characters and a heroine who feels guilty and tortures herself about things she shouldn’t (the accident with the dog) and a husband who behaves as a prick with his wife because of it.
I didn’t connect with the main characters and the heroine’s “martyr cape” was too much for me, even with all her psychological issues.
I just couldn’t get past the fact that the hero, a cop, was having a double life undercover and that his brilliant mind didn’t feel the need to warn (at least give a hint) his wife about it. In the beginning, with his limited point of view, he seemed a one dimensional character and he came across as a selfish person.

Wow!! I really enjoyed this book.

Miss has been married to Rob for years. They've fallen into a rut after all this time. One day, Miss discovers that Rob is having an affair. Or is he?

Rob lives for his family - Miss & their 2 children. An undercover detective sometimes has to do things that he wouldn't ever do.

Elise Faber has given us a book with romance, mystery & plenty of twists & turns.

"Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for the advance copy of this book, in exchange for an honest review."

Loved this book very much. It had just enough sweet romance and the storyline was great! I highly recommend!

This is a fabulous book that begins one way and leads to a completely different way as it goes along. On the onset, it reads like a story about a cheating husband and the effect it is having on his wife. That’s only part of the story and there are not the ordinary reasons for the husband’s behavior but very different reasons.
I loved the turn of the story because it threw mw completely and I honestly did not see the end coming! I love books that throw me off!

Melissa and Rob were high school sweethearts and now Melissa believes that he is the love of her life he can do no wrong or can he? Melissa finds a her husbands cell phone and another woman texting him, and this is where it went sideways to me, why didn't she confront him? Why? So she is sad, needs something for herself is getting blamed by Rob for not taking care of things and realizing her marriage is not all that great. Rob, I hated him I hated reading his thoughts about another woman, I don't care if supposedly they were in a sting, his thoughts were not they were his and to me he is disgusting, he ended up realizing he loved his wife when another paid her mind. Yeah he sucks.

Can a love withstand the types of strain Melissa and Rob are being put through?

Melissa and Rob were high school sweethearts. Two kids and a dog later there seems to be a lack of passion. One day Melissa finds a hidden cell with texts from another woman. Is Rob cheating on her?

Melissa and Rob desperately need to communicate, but will they do it before it's too late?

I suggest this book to anyone who has ever questioned if they were enough for their spouse. This book will break your heart while you read the emotional roller coaster. My fingers were crossed the whole time for love to prevail.

Heartbreak at Roosevelt Ranch by Elise Faber is a fantastic followup to Disaster at Roosevelt Ranch. This is Melissa’s story and we see she is having marriage troubles with her cop husband Rob. It shows how Melissa is finally getting her dreams of a food show on a food network yet while her professional dreams are coming true, her personal dreams are falling apart when her husband is pulling away and staying far apart from her and their children. She doesn’t understand why and the story details what is going on. It is realistic and heartbreaking. It deals with misunderstandings, not talking to each other leads to problems in the marriage and just a case of not everything as it appears. There is also villians in this story who are out to harm Melissa and her marriage to Rob. There is intrigue, mystery , angst and drama. I do wish the ending wasn’t so rushed because I would have liked to see how things were going between Melissa and Rob but overall, this was a fabulous story.

My Rating: 4.5 stars *****
“I received an advanced copy of this book from the author at no cost to me."

This book started off awful... why wouldn't Melissa confront Rob when she found the phone under her mattress? And to add to that, Rob seemed to really enjoy the attention from Celeste (said something about him forgetting all about his wife and children when she came to him at his desk). I hated it! How could Rob do that!?!?!?
Had I not have been reading this book in order to write a review I would have stopped reading. However, the book takes some turns... I won't give them away. The book redeemed itself some, but I cannot forgive Rob and I still feel Melissa is an idiot for not saying something sooner.

I’m going to start off by saying be careful when reading reviews. One reviewer gave away too much in their review that it could have ruined the book for me. In ways it did because it gave away some of the twists! So my recommendation is to not read reviews and take a chance and read this wonderful story!

Elise Faber delivers another amazing story in the Roosevelt Ranch series! I couldn’t put it down. Melissa & Rob went on one emotional journey, but the end definitely made it worth it.

I look forward to more in this series and from Elise Faber.

I voluntarily reviewed this book.

Heartbreak at Roosevelt Ranch by Elise Faber is a good book, but not for me. Reading is my escape, and this book was very emotional. I wanted to shake both main characters. This book was well written if you enjoy books that bring out sadness and anger, you will enjoy it.

Melissa and Rob are high school sweethearts which is absolutely adorable. They now have 2 kids and a little pup.

One day Melissa finds a cellphone in between the mattress’s and when she looks to see what’s on it, she finds that there’s txts with another woman. She has so many things that go through her head and she believes that her husband is having an affair.

While I was reading this I wanted to smack Rob upside the head so many times. Melissa just makes me want to dive into the book and hug her.

This book puts you through a ringer of emotions. I would definitely recommend this book. If plan on reading this make sure you have a box a tissues with you.

I received an E-arc from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
