This book by Debora M. Coty caught my attention right away because the title describes me: a blessed but stressed mom. I enjoyed reading this book because it contains short, daily devotions that fit with my busy schedule. There was also a scripture verse included in each devotion for me to focus on for the day. This book encouraged me to focus more on the blessings in my life, instead of stressing over the negative parts of my day. I would recommend it for any blessed but stressed mom!

I was able to read Too Blessed to be Stressed for Moms for free from Netgalley, the publisher and the author for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review; thank you netgalley and publishers for offering me this book!
This is a great devotional for moms. Since I will be becoming a mom, this book spoke to me and directly to my heart. It has helped me to focus on what is important, the joys of my life and not concentrating on my daily challenges that motherhood will present. Motherhood is a Blessing and it provides a daily focus devotional with a scripture verse to keep you centered and in control.

This book is broken up into short chapters which are easy to read through in a few minutes – definitely fitting for the obvious target audience! There’s some Scripture mixed throughout with humorous stories and anecdotes about being a stressed out Mom. Some examples are hard to take as truth but perhaps it has something to do with turns of phrases or emphasizing the point of what’s meant to be encouraging. Titles of chapters are fun and humorous. There are some practical parenting tips included.
The point of the book is to encourage Moms to find the blessings in motherhood, and to realize that a Mom is not alone in the craziness of the season she finds herself in.
There were a few things that did make me uncomfortable and rather stressed as I read through (thus totally missing the point of encouraging me!). This book has been referred by some as a devotional but in the end of chapter questions, there weren’t a whole lot of Scripture references used nor biblical thoughts to dwell on, rather thinking through personal experiences and how one could relate to the stories of the author herself. As well, God is referred to as “Papa-God” consistently throughout the book. I understand the point is that the original word used in one particular verse the author refers to is “Abba” meaning a close familial tie such as “Daddy” but to consistently refer to God as such seemed a bit much – especially when the example being used didn’t call for it.
Unfortunately, this book missed the mark for me.
I received an ecopy from the publisher through NetGalley. All opinions expressed are my own.

This book was a quick read for me! I love Christian novels especially ones written for moms! I'm a busy mom of 3 so I related to this book so much!

It had some great advice especially for moms who feel they need to do it all to be a good mother. However, that is not the case! You can be the best mom for your kids without being supermom!

As others have stated, the Kindle format was interesting, for lack of a better word. It took a bit to figure it out but once I did, it was fine.

Recommend for mothers everywhere!

Is there any better time than summer vacation to review a book titled Too Blessed To Be Stressed For Moms?! 🤣This book came along at the right time for me. Don't you just love when that happens?! ♥️ Too Blessed To Be Stressed is full of insight, encouragement, scripture, and laugh out loud humor that is a breath of fresh air for weary moms. There is something for every mom found here- from practical encouragement for things like finding balance and time management, to emotional encouragement in letting go of mom guilt and developing a thankful lifestyle. Debra Coty has a witty way of writing a la Jen Hatmaker that makes you feel like you are curled up on the couch with your girlfriend and a cup of coffee. I wish this book had been around when my kids were younger and I was knee deep in the trenches! Motherhood is a blessing and this book gently reminds you of that fact, helps you to find the blessings in the mundane, and is a reminder that God is walking right there with you. For me, Too Blessed To Be Stressed was ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 stars (rounded up from 3.5). Thank you @barbour for this advance reader in exchange for my honest review.

This book was a relatively quick read for moms. Which, let's be honest, we need since we are always so darn busy! It was a nice book that had some good advice and was also empowering while making it clear that you do not have to be supermom to be a good mother.

However, there were a few things that I was not fond of. First of all, the Kindle format was pretty bad. There were a lot of words that were broken up and separated by lines that took a bit to figure out. Additionally, the writing was ok, but nothing great. Some of the flow just felt a bit awkward and unseasoned. Lastly, she refers to God as "Papa God" which was really odd to me. Perhaps it is a culture disparity, yet it just did not feel right to me and made it a little uncomfortable.

Beyond those critiques, I really did enjoy it and found that it offered some great advice, some of which I plan to integrate into my own life in order to live it to the fullest and enjoy the years with my small children as much as I can!
