I was able to read Too Blessed to be Stressed for Moms for free from Netgalley, the publisher and the author for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review; thank you netgalley and publishers for offering me this book!
This is a great devotional for moms. Since I will be becoming a mom, this book spoke to me and directly to my heart. It has helped me to focus on what is important, the joys of my life and not concentrating on my daily challenges that motherhood will present. Motherhood is a Blessing and it provides a daily focus devotional with a scripture verse to keep you centered and in control.

This book by Debora M. Coty caught my attention right away because the title describes me: a blessed but stressed mom. I enjoyed reading this book because it contains short, daily devotions that fit with my busy schedule. There was also a scripture verse included in each devotion for me to focus on for the day. This book encouraged me to focus more on the blessings in my life, instead of stressing over the negative parts of my day. I would recommend it for any blessed but stressed mom!

This book full of wonderful advice!
Where was this book when I was raising my son! I could've used this then. But, the awesome thing is of course we can still use the book in our daily lives.

Too Blessed to be Stressed for Moms has some cool scriptures. I enjoyed how the author weaves these in with her every day life and shows us how to also.

There are some funny parts too. These stories have a way of making you laugh at yourself as you look back and realise that this author understands exactly what you are going through as a mom.

I would like to read these other books in this series too and see what they have to offer.
The cover of this book is really beautiful!

I received a complementary copy from Netgalley and no compensations were received. This is my honest opinion

Too Blessed To Be Stressed for Moms is a witty devotional book (approximately 5” x 7”) designed for mothers. I love devotionals, especially ones that are short, to the point, and easy to digest, and this one fits the bill.

With a short and fun Stress Test for Mothers in the introduction, moms can discover their baseline stress level before they begin the devotional journey, and perhaps look back when the book has been read to see how their stress level has improved. This hardback book is sturdy and attractive, fitting easily in a purse or computer bag.

Each devotion contains Scripture verses, a 5-8 page short story, quotes, and a section titled, Navigating the Hood (motherhood) offering relevant questions and guidelines. There’s also an attached satin ribbon as a bookmark. And don’t skip over the dedication page—it is touching and inspirational.

I like the appearance, tone, and motivation behind this book. The perfect gift for frazzled moms!

Over these crazy summer months, I have been reading an advanced copy of Too Blessed to be Stressed for Moms & I don’t know if I can even express how on time it was. Is there any better time for daily reminders that God has your back & you’re probably not failing than the 3 months of insanity that is Summer vacation? Technically, this book is meant to be read as a daily devotional for an entire year but, y’all, I binged the entire thing in a few days because Tweens lol. I most loved the author’s light, witty approach. There were many times that the words sounded like they could have been coming straight from the mouth of my own mama. I will definitely be re-reading this & maybe now that school is back in session and my sanity is (mostly) restored, I’ll manage to stretch it out for the year as it was intended.

Too Blessed to be Stressed for Moms devotional targeted at those weary mothers of the world. The short daily readings are just the right amount of funny with an encouraging message and Bible verse. Most messages are relatable to the reader and helps to lift up and encourage the stressed mother.

This was a fantastic Book! I feel all moms need to read this book, no matter the season your life is on you will find something in this book that you connect with. For me it was the stress and anxiety she wrote about, I have times I want to run away from the stress of my kids and husband but reading this has helped me see some things I need to change in my personal life . There is a lot of humor in this , I was laughing out loud a few times on how she talks about the stresses of being a mom. I know I need to work on Patience in areas of my life, and work on how to control my stress when my girls fight like mad men lol. I plan on re reading this a few more times because it was written very well with mom's in mind. My personal favorite is the stress test in this book, I made sure to add a picture for you all to see. Would I buy this book YES I would buy this for my friends and family for sure, so what are you waiting for!!

From the moment I started this book, I have enjoyed reading every page. The Introduction is well worth reading and includes a Stress Test For Moms Quiz. I did take it, but I don't think I will share what i got. Let's just say as a mom, I seem to be stressed more than I realized. What a great statement she makes emphasizing that even though as new mothers we think we are the worst, we really aren't. New mothers will stress over everything which to me just shows how loving and protective we are towards our children.

The author has great tools to helps mothers feel more comfortable in their journey. I really liked the Navigate the 'Hood (the Motherhood) at the end of each chapter. These are great questions to think on and help you absorb the chapters with more understanding. I like that the questions make you really look at yourself and help you see what changes you may want to make in your thinking.

I really enjoyed Chapter seven when the author talked about Hidden Wounds. As a new mom, I carried deep wounds from my childhood. When i had my first child, I loved him so much I would have done anything to keep him safe. There was no one there for me when I was growing up, and I was determined that each of my children would know and feel my love as a mother. The chapter really encourages us to let those hidden wounds out and get healing. It also helps me to realize that "healing is a process."

There is so much great nuggets of encouragement and information in this book that I encourage each of you to take your time reading the book. The author has written a great book that will bless everyone that reads it. It is definitely a must read for every mother who struggles, feels inadequate or needs encouragement. The book is easy to read and the author uses humor to help share her wisdom.

I received a copy of this book from Read With Audra blogger program. The review is my own opinion.

A Mom’s job is tough – you never know if you are doing the best job, you constantly question and doubt yourself (not to mention comparing yourself to others) and the never-ending list of things to do. It can be an overwhelming, stressful, underappreciated role but when you look at your children, you realize that there is nothing better in life then the job of a Mom.

When we feel stressed and overworked, it can be easy to overlook the good parts in our life and feel blessed. We tend to focus solely on the things that are worrying us and causing us anxiety. We begin to feel inadequate and judge even ourselves. As a Mom, you are not alone! There is not one Mom who hasn’t questioned their ability and their parenting ability at one point.

This book acknowledges those feelings but also reminds us that we are not alone. That we all feel like this at times and the best medicine? Faith, humour and remembering the basics – your kids just need you to love them, to support them and fully be engaged in them. Coty uses her own personal experiences – that not only will have you giggling away but that you can one hundred percent can relate to – to help share her story of hope and guidance. Each chapter has a unique focus and gives us personal examples, tips and quotes to help us get through the hardest times. This was a well written, personal book that I couldn’t put down. It was like having a glass of wine and a fantastic conversation with a best friend – you just didn’t want it to end! A definite must read for first time Moms and second (third and fourth!) time Moms.

Too blessed to be stressed for moms

When I first started reading I thought I was not going to find if interesting since being a nonfiction and for your young moms. I was wrong, I found it very interesting and there was even parts where I laughed. There was really some fun stories. A lot of bible verses in it. The book brought back a lot of memories with my daughter when she was young. Now she is a mother and a very good one. This is a book that everyone would that has ever had a child.

I received an complementary copy of the book from NetGalley through the publisher. I was not required to write an positive review. This is my own opinion.

Debora Coty writes To Blessed to Be Stressed, a 365-day devotional, as if she were sitting down talking to God, and talking to you. Each devotion is short, sweet and to the point. They each start with a Bible verse and end with a prayer.

I thoroughly enjoyed this different and unique devotional. Miss Coty’s humor and style of writing is refreshing and delightful, full of pithy, succinct and witty observations; she can get a profound truth across in few words. She draws stories from her life and those of her friends, in addition to life lessons she has experienced and leaves you with many thought-provoking moments.

Some of her devotions will have you rolling on the floor laughing, while others will leave you in tears; however, as the tale concludes, the lesson is heard and felt on a deep level.

Miss Coty is not afraid to tackle difficult – even “off-limits” -topics. For example, she discusses gravity’s results for women, colonoscopies and her book being a “potty” book, as in being read in the bathroom. Even so, these are only small parts of the book. The other more serious topics far outweigh those of a less serious nature.

Too Blessed to Be Stressed is a book you will want to read, savor and re-read, gleaning jewels of wisdom, truth, and renewal of faith as it brings you closer in your relationship with God.

I received this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

My review: Previously, I read one of Debra M. Coty’s books and didn’t care for the familiar style she had of speaking to the reader but this time around, I really enjoyed it. She has a way of getting through a reader’s barriers, sharing laughs, sharing stories until you grin along with her. She definitely shows us moms that everybody makes huge mistakes and can be forgiven for them. Sometimes you get so isolated in your life, you think you’ll never get a handle on things. This book can help. My kids aren’t babies anymore and I still got a lot of this book and look forward to future books by Ms. Coty.

Perfect for those moments when you just have a few minutes to yourself. It is an uplifting, christian book with a touch of humor. The devotional is great for new mothers who just need a God written pick me up. All of us moms have struggled with feelings of the day to day living, hope, relationships, feeling overwhelmed. This quick read will lift your spirits and helps you know you are not alone, in this thing called Motherhood. It would be a wonderful book for that special new mom. I received a complimentary copy of this book for a review.

I really enjoyed reading this book! Although you could read the book from cover to cover, I think you should take your time to read and really try to apply some of the scriptures to your life AND take the time to think about the questions at the end of each chapter. Seeing how I'm dealing with the stress of being a Mom of 2 boys AND a teacher of elementary school children has been interesting... and I've realized I do need to change a few things (currently I'm reading Ch. 23 Patience Should Be a Verb again and it so true; Perseverance is needed right now). This book is a great devotional for mothers of all ages and could be reread frequently. The way the author uses humor to approach the chapters is awesome and I find myself laughing and crying often. This is a great book and I definitely recommend it!

Having never read the original, I didn't know what to expect with this book. I was pleasantly surprised by the astuteness, humor and God-inspired content. This was a very readable and relatable book. I laughed on numerous occasions during (each chapter of) this book. I liked the anecdotes and found the practical advice, just that, practical; things that I might actually try to implement into my mothering. My only qualm with it, is the author's use of the term "Papa" in place of God on multiple occasions. It somehow seems slightly irreverent to me; just personal preference I guess, since Father is essentially the same thing and I have no issue with that.

I would definitely recommend this book to every mom I know.

I only really had one bug bear with this book, so lets get that out of the way first, Mom. I hate that, it's mum not Mom, mom makes them sound gormless but as this is a book by an American author, I shall let it slide.

I really enjoyed this book and have revisted it a few times now, it's funny, enlightening and you feel as if Debora genuinely gets it, which is not always the case with authors of this kind of book. I would definitely recommend it to others.
