Naomi Price, English/Poetry Professor
Sebastian Blake, Published Author, English and Jackassery Professor

So much disdain between two colleagues. Constantly bickering about everything, from classrooms to dirty coffee mugs. Now add in the Distinguished Professor Award, and you've really got a battle of the sexes. Who do you think will walk away with this award? You must read to find out.

Naomi and Sebastian hate each other, though secretly they like each other just as much. Their banter is kind of entertaining at first but then it gets tiresome. Their “pretend” dislike for one another drags the story and becomes annoying. I wanted to like this book because the title and blurb are catchy, unfortunately it didn’t work for me.

A good enemies to lovers story. Coworkers, up for the award, are forced to work together. Their mutual hate turns to lust, then love.

I enjoyed this book. The characters were well written, smart, sexy, with painful pasts that influenced their behavior.

Recommend for lovers of slow-burn enemies to lover books.

I really struggled with this book, and I wanted to love it! The premise is great and I love a good enemies to lovers story. I had such a hard time getting into this one though. The chemistry of the main characters was off to me...I never really bought it and that heat/passion you want from them was never there. Okay, but not great.

This was a terrific story. I mean seriously wonderful and very different than what I have read before and I really loved it. It is a story of two college professors who love hating each other. They are actually very close to each other but in a hate filled, snippy and obnoxious way. It is a true hate but also one not born of anything specific just two snippy personalities. It was really extremely well written and you author really did an amazing job creating these two characters.

Sebastien is our anti hero. He is a big old grump, oscar the grouch. If you like grumpy heroes you will love him. He is also very anti social. He loves teaching and his students but not so much the rest of the world. And he is a brat to Naomi. But she takes it and serves it back to him. And they never did anything to the other, he is just a grouch and takes that out on her.

Naomi is friendly, perky and happy so she is the light to Seb's darkness and when they are up for the same award thats when the two are forced to work together and get a long. Meanwhile N keeps having sexy dreams about Seb.

I loved this story so much. This is an extremely well done and original hate/love story. And I loved that there was no real meanness in the story it is just that Seb hates the whole world but he only bothers to be a grump with N.

Cute concept, not a bad execution but it all felt very forced. I mean, I really don’t think they knew if they loved or hated each other by the end.

2.5 stars
This one sounded cute, and I am not sure if it was my, but I thought it was a little slow. I thought it was going to be more Rom Com, but it missed that mark for me,

I received an advanced reader's copy in exchange for an honest review.

It's cute but a bit obvious. Slightly maudlin. There's probably better out there.

I enjoyed this book. I have always been a fan of the hate/love trope. I enjoyed both the main characters and I liked that we got to see both point of views. I also enjoyed thier banter.
I did not care for the side characters (friends). I did not really buy thier friendships. That said I finnished this book in just two sittings and will recommend to my customers.

Wow! Another great book!! I was in such a slump but I've had a good few books lately! This one is definitely up there for one of my favorite! I thought maybe it might be young adult or immature or something but no! It was really hot, had a wonderful story, some light drama, a little heartbreak and some heartache too! All around it was a great read! This is Naomi and Sebastian book they're both teachers or professors and really fight a lot lol but the back and forth between them is really funny and exciting!! I highly recommend this book it's so worth the read! Thank you NetGalley and penguin random house publishers for sharing this book with me! It's definitely a good one!!

This is a fun, witty book that will keep you smiling from the beginning to the end. Naomi can't seem to get along with Sebastian no matter what she does. She has tried being nice but somehow he still seems to have something smart to say to her. He is always being coy with her and it is really getting to be a problem. Never would she have thought he was attracted to her, NEVER, but they have always said there's a fine line between love and hate.
I received this book from Net Galley for an honest review.

Haters to lovers; enemies to friends; colleagues to life-time partners. I love stories that embrace these tropes. I HATE YOU I LOVE YOU encompasses them all.

When college professors Naomi Pride and Sebastian Blake find out they are both up for a prestigious university award, these rivals go into hyperdrive trying to one-up the other to ensure they are each the winner. Both are deserving and both know it. And both think the other…isn’t.

From her very first day on the job, when Sebastian embarrassed her publically, Naomi has considered him the enemy. It takes us a while to understand why Sebastian thinks of Naomi the same way….or does he?

Through a series of events where they are forced into one another’s company, forced to work together, and even forced to rely on one another, these two start to understand their motivations and reactions of the other. It doesn’t stop their mutual snarkiness and annoyance for standing in the forefront, but it does begin to allow them to each realize just how much they actually like the other.

I liked Naomi, I really did. Her girlfriends…not so much. She didn’t seem to really belong to their clique, personality-wise. And while Sebastian is a loner, the one true friend he has was a goodie and was able to call him on the carpet about his bulls**t easily and with love lacing the words.

Both of their pasts involved trauma and when they both learn that they are more alike than either of them ever considered, the story turns to a true romance.

I really liked this book. I could have done without the girlfriends and a couple of the self-serving sex scenes ( Naomi’s) but overall it was an enjoyable book about 2 fractured people who, despite not looking for it, find love.

Thanks to Netgally and Loveswept for an arc of this book in exchange for an honest opinion. My opinion is that if you like snarky, fractured characters who discover more about themselves through finding love, this is a book for you!

First off I hate this cover but I liked the book. It reminded me a lot of The hating Game by Sally Thorne but I ordered her female protagonist better. Naomi to be was too goody goody perfect woman and Sebastian was just a asshole even if he had a good "excuse". I just prefer my female protagonist a little bit harder.
