I received a free ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

A really neat concept. Love how the boy is carried to another world under his bed. Dinosaur lovers will enjoy. I wish it had a more eye-catching cover!

This was an unusual way to introduce children to dinosaurs. The text and illustrations where whimsical and had just the right amount of information to get little ones hooked on dinos.

I felt that this book just missed the mark. It started out to be an interesting book, but after going through the trapdoor, it just sort of fizzles out. It would interest the kids if it were just a dinosaur book, but it promises a story, but doesn't deliver.

A little boy has a magical trap door under his bed. It takes him to the land of dinosaurs. And there are lots of dinos to see. This was a nice book. The added info bits were a nice touch. I think this could be a simple but fun series .

I read this book with my grandson who loves dinosaurs. A young boy finds a hole under his bed. When he loses his favourite toy car into the hole, he goes through the magical trapdoor and finds himself in the world of dinosaurs. When he returns home, he draws the dinosaurs he saw. This book was designed to be read with an adult and a beginning to read child. You get a large font with very simple sentences and vocabulary for the child to read, and a smaller box with information that the adult can use to give more information to the reader. At the back of the book, there is a Dinosaur Note with some new information about dinosaurs as well as a website to visit to learn more. I think this is a great format for parents and children to read a book together. My grandson already knew a lot of the information such as the name of the dinosaurs and what they ate, but he still enjoyed it. The illustrations will appeal to young children. The dinosaurs are shown in the environment that it is believed they lived in with the little boy hiding somewhere on the page, so the dinosaurs could not see him. A cute book for beginning readers, especially those who love dinosaurs. The publisher, Xist Publishing, generously provided me with a copy of this book to read. The rating, ideas and opinions shared are my own.

This book is about a boy who loses his favorite tor car down a magical trapdoor under his bed. Turns out the trap door takes him to Jurassic Par....I mean, into the past to the land of the dinosaurs! I hope that someday they make a girl version of this book. Not that a little girl couldn't read this book but, I'm just making a request for the idea.

Anyway, the book is fun in that the illustrations are really great and the story is told in short, understandable sentences. Then there are informational boxes for more learning as you go, but they're also easy to skip.

A hole under his bed leads a boy to a place full of dinosaurs, which he then draws when he gets back home.
In the intro the parent is told that the big print is for the kids to read, while the smaller boxed words are nonfiction background on what is featured on the page. This works very well.
There’s a note at the end about the latest research, which is interesting, and leads to a weblink, should the child want to learn more. And they probably will.

A fantasy story about a kid who finds a trapdoor under his bed that leads him into a land filled with dinosaurs. This is bound to be intriguing and exciting for kids who are into dinosaurs.

This immediately proves itself as a decently constructed book, for two people to read at the same time. Yes, you get a large font with simple vocab for the youngster to read, all about a boy going through a magical trapdoor under his bed and finding himself amongst dinosaurs, and a smaller box-out unobtrusively tucked away, with information for the adult or carer to digest and reformat to their child's best interest. The fact this will clearly be used for a multiple range of trips through the trapdoor to see different things heralds a good new series. I did think the wrapping-up could have been done a little more quickly, once the drama was over, but this is fine for the very young – and the parent, who will appear an instant expert in dinosaurs with the help of their sections.

A little boy finds a trap door under his bed. His car goes into it and he follows his car. When he arrives he is in the land of the dinosaurs. He sees Tricerotops, Liptoceratops, Marasoura, Tyrannosaurus Rex and more. Each of the dinosaur pages has information on the dinosaurs in a little box. He returns to his bedroom and draws dinosaurs.
This is a great beginner reader book or for children into dinosaurs. Very well illustrated it will appeal to children.
