This is an illustrated book about a bibliophile and her love for books. One can imagine how much it would appeal to a bookworm! It's a cute and very very relatable book, and a lot of pages had me and the husband laughing because it was so damn accurate (atleast now he knows am not the only weird one!)

Bookworms rejoice! I love love love this book! From start to finish, I couldn't put it down and read it in one sitting. I feel like nearly everything in this book describes who I am... The illustrations and text are equally charming! I now can't resist getting myself a physical copy of this book to put on display and read over and over again. ;)

As a life long book worm - and I do pretty much literally mean lifelong - I related to these warm, funny and moving cartoons so hard. As will other book worms. I'd definitely revommend this book as a gift - something to cheer you up on a grey day. Super cute and humourous.

I am sad to say that I apparently did not download this file as I thought I did and am unable to access it for review now. I appreciate the opportunity and look forward to requesting (and properly downloading) books from Andrews McMeel Publishing in the future.

Netgalley requires me to issue a star rating however I will reiterate the rating is not accurate as I can not access the file due to archiving.

This is the perfect graphic novel for any book lover out there. I was so excited when I heard that Debbie Tung was coming out with another graphic novel. I absolutely loved her other book "Quiet Girl in a Noisy World: An Introvert's Story". Book Love has the same art as well as the same characters. I love her art as well as her story telling. She makes everything so relatable.

The book is constructed in a way where you have many one page long stories or scenarios. It's a graphic novel you can put down and pick up a month later and enjoy it.

The content is filled with book related things such as dnf'ing a book, lending out books, stickers on books and books turning into movies.

There is also book recommendations and reading advice in the graphic novel, which I highly appreciated.

The bottom line is that this is hilarious, and so relatible for every book lover. If you're a booklover, please pick this up, you won't regret it!!

P.S. Also recommend this to bookstagrammers and booktubers, as she does touch on both booktube and bookstagram.

I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect going into my reading of Book Love. Not to say that I didn’t have an idea of the content, but more so the idea behind it. The brief preview I saw seemed to be of cartoons that get posted onto Facebook, with everyone commenting “same” or “me.” Which isn’t necessarily wrong, but an entire book of that? I wasn’t sold that it would be enough for me.
In the end, it was and it wasn’t. At times, the book seemed to drag and just not have much to it. Pages would pass by in which I felt nothing, or even mild frustration that I wasn’t finding much in the way of content or enjoyment.
In other parts, I found myself thoroughly enjoying the simple cartoons and their message of loving reading. Some I might even want to post in my classroom in the future. They spoke to a broadening of horizons and an enjoyment of other worlds that I really felt.
I think the simple take on Book Love is that you what you get out of it will depend on how much you relate to the content. If you find this mirrors you exactly, you will likely really enjoy it. If you are more like me and it only reaches some parts of you, this may not be the book for you. Book Love is a good book for a very specific audience.

I've read a physical copy of this by now (because the eArc just would not work for me) and found that I really liked it. It's full of a bunch of entertaining anecdotes every book worm will be able to relate to. Fun, sweet and charming and a perfect gift for every book lover you know.

Book Love is a collection any goodreads user will enjoy. I was amazed at how many times her comics echoed my life. Like when we travel:

You don't know how many times my wife has yelled at me for bringing too many books on vacation.

Or the disappointment of getting a new book and it's the stupid movie poster on the cover instead of the original.

The strips can get a bit repetitive, especially having to do with her smelling books. But all in all, a very enjoyable read for any book lover. This would make the perfect gift for those readers in your life.

Received a review copy from Andrews McMeel Publishing and NetGalley. All thoughts are my own and in no way influenced by the aforementioned.

I can only review this book in three words:
This. Is. Me.

I mean, everything in this book is my inner self. This is me in every aspect of my everyday life. I laugh while being guilty at the same time reading this book. But I must say, I'm proud to be a bookworm.

Debbie Tung always draw witty graphic novels that are very much relatable. It's as if she is opening herself to her readers because every single detail she had written was true.

Dear book people, this is us, this is really who we are. Read it and see yourself in Book Love's pages. Caution: Highly relatable.

This book. Book Love. Is AMAZING. Never have I ever felt so accepted and understood by a book before. It’s basically about ME. Debbie Tung is basically ONE OF US!!!!!!

She has nailed it! From our bookish dreams to our bookish adventures to our bookish dilemmas and to the bookish nightmares, she very accurately gets it all.

From our obsession with new editions of the same book to our fears of destroying our books by spilling coffee over it. From our never ending difficulty to decide which book to carry with ourselves in case we finish our current read to our helplessness with our favourite books being destroyed by the not so great movie adaptation.

With each page I was like “Can this be any more true?” and “Hah! I know right!”.

I finished reading this in an hour or two and then immediately handed it over to my husband, stating “This IS me!!!!”

Book Love is a graphic novel with cute black and white illustrations validating every bookish feeling you’ve ever had. If your life revolves around books, if you read and breathe them, you NEED to get this one.
