This book was just so much fun! I loved Cassie and her friends, this was a group of girls I would love to hang out with. I also loved Logan's friend Theo, and I cannot wait for his story. Logan was a great guy a little selfish, but he came around. The chemistry between Cassie and Logan was pretty darn sizzling. Something I really appreciated about this book was the drama was pretty realistic, not too over-the-top, The perfect amount of angst. I really love romances with more humor than angst, l like to laugh more than cry.

This book is a good fit for readers looking for a light-hearted and playful romance between two career-focused individuals who learn to take a chance on love.

I just couldn't get into this book. It was too predictable and I couldn't bring myself to care about any of the characters in it.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher through Netgalley. This is my honest review.

I don't typically like to start reviews with negatives, but this thing has been bugging me pretty much since the beginning of the book, so I gotta' get it off my chest. While I understand that it was absolutely necessary for the story, on a personal level, I was really bothered by the fact that Cassie's friends ignored her "get me away from this guy" hints. When you are out, especially in a foreign country, with your friends, you just don't do that. That's like the rules of feminism. And I honestly think I'm more annoyed by it, because I also know that the situation is absolutely realistic, at least for some people, and that bothers me.

That being said, this story obviously wouldn't have gone very far if her friends had taken her hints. The chemistry between Cassie and Logan is absolute fire. I liked how she doesn't give in to him just because he's good looking, but was also ready to get hers when she wanted to. I was a little bit frustrated that both of their commitments to their jobs put up roadblocks in the path to their HEA, but it was realistic.

Overall I give Getting Hot with the Scot 3.9 out of 5 stars.

2.5 stars

I really wanted to like this book, but it just didn't click for me. It between the characters and I like that there was a strong friend group. However, I just didn't really love the two leads characters and wasn't as much chemistry between the two of them as I hoped there would be. Pacing sounds uneven with some parts that I wish had been expanded upon and others that I thought drug on for way too long. The writing wasn't too bad but this book just wasn't my cup of tea. I do want to try the next book in the series. The two characters that will be in that book definitely had an interesting start in this one.

This was a cute, quick, and easy read. I would recommend this for anyone looking for a light easy read that is into the "enemy-to-lovers" trope. Thanks to NetGalley and St. Martin's Press for the opportunity to read this book and provide an honest review.

This is a great story with well-developed characters. Opposites attract is one of my favorite tropes and Melonie Johnson did an amazing job with Logan and Cassie.

I was intrigued by the premise and the blurb, but unfortunately, it just didn't pan out to me. I tried both the ebook and the audiobook and the story and characters never clicked for me.

Thanks for the opportunity to read and review, but since I DNF'd I will not be writing a full review.

Getting Hot With The Scot is a rom-com that fans of Christina Lauren and Meg Cabot will love. Cassie and her friends are the real stars of this book, even though I also enjoyed the romance. It was nice to see a core group of friends. This is an overall fun read that provides a nice escape for romance fans.

I enjoyed the enemy-to-lovers trope and the different settings. I also enjoyed the author's effort in bringing different moments to the page because it showcased the MCs in different situations and allowed me to get to know them better. And of course, the sexy Scot was just the cherry on top of this little treat. I wish I had gotten a little bit more of a connection between Cassie and Logan, but otherwise this was an enjoyable read.

All in all, a hot little romance with plenty of steam and humor.

This book was so entertaining. I was drawn into the story from the beginning and was involved until the end. The characters were complex and interesting. I found the story to be well paced and engrossing throughout the whole book. I was invested in the couple throughout the book and felt all the emotions through both the highs and lows of the story. The side characters were such an integral part of this story as well. This is the love story i needed to read at this time. If you want an entertaining and well written book this is it for you

I received this book for free from NetGalley. It is a contemporary romance where the female protagonist meets the Scot protagonist in Scotland when he is pulling prank on her. He needs her signature on a waiver and has a one night stand with her and from there tbey eventually fall in love with mushaps aling the way. I didnt like the book as I find that yhis plot wasnt plausible

ARC Provided by Netgalley and Publisher. Does not influence my review.

I struggled with this book. It's far to long. There were so many parts that could have been edited. I did enjoy that it was part romantic comedy and part contemporary. Cassie and Logan's relationship was filled with normal tropes. I enjoyed that some of the book took place in Scotland. Where it fell a bit flat was with their job a reality tv producer and a YouTuber, I found that to be a bit cheesy. The stand out for me was the relationship with Cassie and her best mates.

Not really my type of book. Storyline interrupted for casual sex scenes. Like more content to the story

This book ended up falling flat for me. I couldn't bring myself to care for the characters or the romance and ended up DNFing it.

This book had awesome sex scenes. I loved the heat and chemistry between the characters. I loved the characters. Swoon worthy book boyfriends.

The book was ok. Logan was kind of a bore and Cassie was whiney in my opinion. The back and forth of them with the video just became too much for me. The chemistry between them wasn't really there either. Just wasn't a great book for me.

Getting Hot With the Scot is not at all what I was expecting: it was even better. I don't normally like prankster types, but Logan was all heart. I loved the interplay between him and his friends and family. Likewise, I adored Cassie and her posse. Cassie is strong and independent. All her work struggles were totally relatable and I just found myself rooting for her on every level. Together, Logan and Cassie are smoking hot and so, so sweet. Great book. Awesome voice. 100% fun.

Overall I liked the premise of this story. Five friends go on a trip to Europe and our leading lady finds a summer fling in Scotland. What’s not to love?

Actually a lot.

Our hero Logan is kind of an Immature man child. Now I understand that’s an intentional character choice and that’s something he needs to overcome in the story, but some of his behavior is inexcusable and I feel that the heroine forgave him too easily.
This book had some great feminist views about romance and working women, but...some more issues from Logan needed to be addressed.

I feel like it had some much potential but some of the good just outweighed the bad
