Cute story. But it was nothing original.
Pierce and Jez meet under odd circumstances thinking the other is someone else. Pierce figures out what is going on, and he ends up saving the day within 15 mins. After that, it is a short novella.

A case of mistaken identity never felt so good. She wanted a man to guard her sister. He wanted a woman for a one night stand fulfilling his every need. The icing on the cake would be they both get what they want and it fills the shattered heart of their pasts. Simply finding the other was a moment of sheer luck. He would protect her everything he was to ensure her safety. Absolutely loved these two together.

This is an instant love kind of book. The hero is a womanizer type, not one to settle down and have a serious relationship until he meets the heroine. Jez is her sister's manager, and due to some circumstances, she decides to hire Pierce and his team to provide security. It was a well-paced read. Overall a good read.

J Kenner kills me every single time and I am so happy that Lovely Little Liar didnt disappointed at all.

Pierce Blackwell loves women and doesnt try to hide that fact. He also is not looking for a relationship in any way shape or form. So when a case of mistaken identity he meets the sexy Jezabel Stuart he knows he need to help her and her actress sister through his security firm. He also knows that he wants Jez as more than a client and as they spend more time together he may need to rethink his no relationship rule because Jez just may be the one.

I loved that fact that Lovely Little Liar is told completely from Pierces' POV - which happens to be my favorite so we get a first-hand look on what he thinks and when things start to change for him. The writing is good throughout but what really brings me in is the dialog between the two main characters. Not sure about the title though seemed off to me but please trust me when I say that regardless Pierce and Jez are so worth the time.

This was a nice, quick read. The writing flowed well, and I liked Pierce and Jez together for the most part. When they first met, it was a case of mistaken identity. While I know that Jez was trying to protect her sister, she was still pretty rude to Pierce. That conversation wasn't going normally for her not to notice. After they meet up again they go from zero to sixty pretty quickly. The whole restaurant scene was over the top for me. I'm not sure how she felt she had the right to storm into a restaurant yelling at Pierce, from something she THOUGHT she saw on his phone. And after 2-3 days. They make up quickly, and the ending was very sweet.

OOH Who is this author and why haven't I read more of their books? I'm going to need to correct that ASAP.
It was a quick read, but yet I thoroughly enjoyed it. Mistaken identity, hot security, little push and pull and off the charts chemistry between MC's are the perfect ingredients to a great book.

I find that J. Kenner consistently delivers entertaining romances. I remember reading a previous version of this story (Bitch Slap), so it wasn't new to me, but I still enjoyed revisiting it. The one thing I would improve is the length of the story. I inevitably feel shortchanged by the novella format, a few more chapters would have been perfect!

I really liked Pierce and Jez's book these two meet by mistake and it doesn't go very well he thinks she is a date from an app and she thinks he is a bodyguard they chemistry between them was immediate but they go their separate ways. But his instinct tells him that she and her sister are in trouble and he is determined to keep them safe. This is a really good book I enjoyed it and look forward to reading more from this series.

This author did not disappoint. This novel grabbed me from the very first page to the very last. The chemistry between Pierce and Jezebel was off the charts. I was really rooting for these two. I loved the chemistry, dialogue, and the banter. So good! I love a novel that can make you smile, laugh out loud, even cry but leaves you with a smile on your face. This novel did that for me.

The stories of the 3 co-owners of Blackwell- Lyon each get their own stories starting with Pierce.
The refreshing tale told from Pierce's pov was so welcome and HOT.
The connection between Pierce and Jez, was undeniable for the jump . Protecting her when she is in the spot light even for the wrong reasons, is a MUST for Pierce. Not wanting to break his own rules for clients Pierce is determined to hold himself to this rule. But he was not counting on the connection with Jez.
Wanting someone and trusting someone are two completely different sides of the coin. Could something work between these two, with all the rules Pierce, has for himself ? The fact that they live in different states and trust issues are playing games with Pierce's head.
Is she worth it?

This was an easy fun , sexy read that was in the line of what J , Kenner is known for. I will read the rest of the series.

No one writes sexy, swoon worthy romance like J. Kenner. This book was captivating.....vivid and absolutely fantastic. Be prepared to be swept away by another winner by the very talented J. Kenner. Definitely recommend

It was cute... not entirely different than half the movie star/security guard books out there, but cute nonetheless. It was entirely too short. I think if the author took some time to really develop the characters and their relationship I would probably feel differently. But we go from strangers to lovers to falling in love in the course of about 5 days. Normally this is an incredibly short period of time but throw in the guy's aversion to relationships and it becomes unbelievable.

Overall it wasn't bad, but it could have used quite a bit of work to make it amazing.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, that this whole book was written from his point of view and not hers!

I had fun reading Bitch Slap, and while J. Kenner books are almost always amazing, fun isn't a word I would usually use. Bitch Slap was a breath of fresh air compared to what she usually writes. Pierce and Jaz were entertaining, and well written.

A chance encounter, a case of mistaken identity and two people burned by love might have found their forever.
Jez shows up to a trendy Austin restaurant looking for someone from a security company she is there to hire for a security detail. Pierce shows up at the same restaurant looking for “J” his one-night stand from a dating app. Considering Pierce just happens to be part owner of a security company, each mistaken the other for their dates and immediately decide they are not good for each other. Only Pierce realizes that it was a case of mistaken identity and he was stood up by his date. At this point he is completely mesmerized by Jez and he has to find her.
After the mix-up Pierce’s company is hired by Jez to protect her younger Hollywood Star, Delilah. Now that they are working together Pierce and Jez have to find a way to fight the attraction they so clearly have for each other
Every so often you come across a book that’s just fuzzy wuzzy love. No angst, no cliffhangers, no long drawn out romances, just “hey, I like you; you like me…let’s get together” and that’s what this was. Don’t get me wrong, there were some issues but nothing that dragged on and had you on an emotional rollercoaster. It was just fun.
This is book one in the Blackwell-Lyon series which appears to be a spinoff of another series and I intent to look up that series up. There are two other books in this series that I think I might want to check out as well.
Quick, fast, make you feel good type of read.

This is a short novella with two very liable characters. Pierce thinks Jez is his hook up from a dating app but when he realizes she’s there to find security for her actress singer, he works to make amends. This story is short, but sexy.

Lovely Little Liar is the first book in J. Kenner’s contemporary, adult, Blackwell-Lyon erotic romance series and I really enjoyed it!

The story follows the building relationship between security specialist Pierce Blackwell, and Jezebel Stuart. Thinking he was meeting his one-night stand, Pierce Blackwell, comes face to face with a woman who believes he is someone else. Enter Jezebel Stuart, the sister and manager of up and coming young but vilified actress Delilah Stuart, and the woman with whom Pierce will fall in love.

This was my first read from J. Kenner and I really enjoyed it. Pierce is a little alpha and a little broken. Jez is a little stressed and a little betrayed. Their meeting is a little unusual, but I liked that through each other they found a way to heal old wounds, in many ways.

This was a quick cute (and hot) read.
Jez and Pierce have chemistry right off the bat, but Jez can’t get passed her bad experience when it comes to men.
Secret love affair by day and hired security/bodyguard by night.
Will check out other books by J. Kenner!

I received this ebook copy from the publisher and NetGalley for an honest review.
