This is a great keto book for beginners to explain what and how keto works. This is the kind of book I needed 4 weeks ago! I loved the outline and graphs, it was very user friendly. I'm excited to try some of the recipes too.

I have been eagerly waiting for this book to be available anywhere for me to read. I have been dabbling with Keto for a couple of years and I have been following Josh Axe on Instagram, Facebook, and Youtube for quite some time too, so I really wanted to read what information he presented. I was surprised to find a couple of modifications I have normally heard are keto no-no's like the inclusion of beans (in very small amounts) but over all this book is exactly what I expected. It is full of information about what Keto is, about why it works, how it can help various ailments (cancer and depression/anxiety being of the most interest to me), and Dr. Axe has also included what supplements you should take as well. I loved that there were several meal plans laid out throughout the book depending on why you are doing the ketogenic approach, and pretty much every recipe included sounds fantastically delicious. I also liked that he talks about how to go into maintenance mode as well. Keto Diet is a great place to start for Keto beginners and also a great book for someone who has been on this ride for a while looking for new recipes. I also recommend checking out Dr. Axe's website for his awesome supplements from his wellness company Ancient Nutrition. I use the Keto Multi and it is awesome and I just ordered the Beauty + Sleep collagen to add to my regimen as well.

This book has a wealth of information regarding the ketogenic way of eating. I have followed the keto diet for about six months now but it is always good to read other reference materials and hone your skills. This way of eating has helped me with inflammation in my body, has decreased my pain from arthritis and fibromyalgia. This book helped me to remember some things that I had forgotten and taught me many things I did not know. It does a good job of describing the ways that the keto diet helped your body on a molecular level. The chapters are well thought out and build on each other so that by the end of the book you have a terrific understanding of what it can do for you and how it works. I found myself taking notes on things that I want to change about my current way of eating and am looking forward to trying many of the included recipes. If you are ready to change the way you eat, this book is a great place to start.

I don't even know how many books on the Keto Plan and every other plan. Most of them are pretty much the same and as a plant based eater, not very applicable.

This one was different. I really liked the breakdown of health issues and how this way of eating can get rid of or lessen symptoms. Along with the use of healing herbs and spices, and essential oils was very informative.

One need not rush out and buy special equipment or strange sounding ingredients, just check your pantry and toss out anything processed. Simple.

As a Crohn's patient, this diet has kept me free from flare ups for years now. And I feel better and am emotionally on a much more even keel.

This is not primarily a weight loss book, but more of a natural way to eat. This is one I will be purchasing for my reference library!
