This book was a little slow for me and I never got invested in any of the characters. There were times when I wasn't sure what I was reading or what was going on. I thought the idea behind the book was very interesting, but I don't feel like it developed the right way to have that idea really shine. Overall, it was OK - nothing to really get excited about. Thanks to NetGalley and Avon Books for this ARC.

An excellent novel. A real page turner. Even when you feel you have worked out who dun it, the book twists and turns. Excellent plot, and well drawn characters. Loved it.

I have read a previous novel by Claire Allan and thoroughly enjoyed it. ‘Forget Me Not’ did not disappoint.

Elizabeth, whose daughter committed suicide two years ago, is out walking her dog when she discovers Clare, dying from a knife attack at the side of the road. Clare whispers a few words to Elizabeth before the emergency services arrive.

Clare’s two best friends, Rachel and Julie are devastated. Rachel is still suffering from the death of her mother and a marriage, which is going wrong on many counts. She begins having an affair.

The story is told from two points of view and totally engrossing with many twists and turns as the connection between all the characters is revealed. Once again the author is not afraid to address a serious issue and this involves bullying and its impact on all of those ir touches.

Many thanks to NetGalley, Avon Books and Claire Allan for my ARC in return for my honest review.

Excellent read. Highly recommended.

Thank you NetGalley and Avon Books UK
for this ARC in exchange for an honest review! Publish date is 5/30/19.

While walking her dog one morning, Elizabeth comes across a woman who is barely clinging to life. Just before she breathes her last breath she whispers her final, chilling words to Elizabeth. It soon becomes obvious that the killer is still out there making threats. Can the killer be stopped in time?

This was such a great book! The story is told from the perspectives of two women, Elizabeth and Rachel, along the same timeline. It was a smooth read that moved right along and it kept me guessing. I wasn’t able to predict where it ended up. One twist in particular got a reaction out of me that made my kids wonder what the heck was wrong with me. 😂

I definitely recommend picking up a copy of this book when it’s available! Now excuse me while I go check out more of Claire Allan’s books to add to my Goodreads TBR shelf.

Like "Her Name Was Rose" by the same author, I found this book interesting while I read it, but there are a few things that spoiled my enjoyment.
Firstly the prologue is confusing and doesn't really fit, 'my body was never found' ? Really?
The only character I really got to know was Rachel (unless you count Elizabeth and her penchant for banana bread as 'knowing' someone) and even she was superficial.
When the reveal comes (I had guessed who it was very early on, although not that he had adopted an alter ego), his change into super evil villain was a bit like watching the Incredible Hulk grow his muscles and rip his shirt off. I would have liked a bit more insight into his character and relationship with his mother. Also, why (and this is a question for quite a few authors) have the potential victim be warned in advance that they are going to be killed?

My thanks go to the publishers and Net Galley for the advanced copy in return for an honest review.

WOW talk about a mind f***!!!! This book is told from the perspective of both Rachel and that of Elizabeth, Elizabeth is an old woman who went to walk her dog one morning and stumbled upon a girl, Claire nearing deaths door having been savagely beaten and stabbed and god know's what else..... Rachel as it turns out is a friend of Claire having been best friends with both Claire and another girl Julie.

All their lives are thrown into turmoil as a result and what ensues thereafter, a great psychological chilling read, you will not want to put this one down, dealing with mental health issues, betrayal, revenge, affairs.... this will have you questioning everything and everyone, what did you do when you were a teenager at school, anything that will come back to haunt you in the most ferocious way?

Claire Allan is becoming one of my hot favourites for her way of writing and reeling you, she plots the books out so carefully, throws you some red herrings, makes you feel dizzy with the twists..... this is my third read by Claire and they just keep getting better... can't wait for the next one!

Many thanks to Netgalley and Avon Books UK for an advanced copy in exchange for my honest opinion.

An engaging read which dealt with the impact of death and murder on the survivors as well as being a thriller. I felt I could empathise with the characters and I liked the focus on the victims rather than the police case.

I found this to be a good read, it kept me guessing all the way through as to who the killer was, I had made several guesses before getting it right. I like the style of writing and will be reading more by this author.

This book was predictable and really dragged on. I skipped through a lot of the irrelevant details, and the main characters weren't likeable enough to keep me caring in their fate.. I also thought Molly should have been a four-year-old with how she could communicate. A minor detail, but I don't think a younger child could have conceptualized what she did.

I really enjoyed this read, my first from Claire Allan. I have another on my Kindle ready to start now. It was an easy read which kept me interested throughout as I eagerly read on to discover the identity of the perpetrator. Admittedly I had no idea at all who was guilty.
The style of writing appealed to me, it was easy to follow, not too taxing and flowed well. The language used throughout want too complex and was well connected so that the plot flowed and kept me interested in all that would transpire.
I’m impressed by Claire Allan’s style and I’m looking forward to reading more of her work.

Truly enjoyed reading this book. Claire has become a great thriller author and I'm so glad she tried the new genre. The story mostly about friendship but the underlying one about how cruel some schoolfriends can be. Every character described was brilliant and the more I read the more I wanted to keep going. Great book, chuffed once again to be able to admire such a talented writer

I’ve only read one other Claire Allan book which I thoroughly enjoyed, so when this one became available on NetGalley, I jumped at the chance to receive an advanced copy. I’m so glad that the first book I read wasn’t a fluke as I think this one was even better.
I was hooked from the prologue and couldn’t put it down until I knew who the killer was and why.
I liked the seriousness of the book, and that the police were involved and were doing everything they could. So often with psychological thrillers, the protagonists don’t involve the police, and this winds me up. However in ‘Forget Me Not’ this wasn’t a problem. Rachel had a network of people she could talk to, and Elizabeth had her dog! Even though Elizabeth was alone, it didn’t feel like she was isolated and had no one which again is another overused trait of a PT.
This book was well thought out, it was brilliantly written, and the premise was perfectly executed. It had me on the edge of my seat throughout. I even wanted to cry in sympathy of the teenage Laura; you could feel her desolate demeanour jumping off the page.
I sort of guessed the killer as I was reading it but I didn’t expect the actual outcome of why he was doing what he was doing nor did I guess the connection or the pure depravity of their character.
I said after reading ‘Apple of My Eye’ that I must read her first book ‘Her Name was Rose’, I haven’t gotten around to this yet but now knowing her writing is consistent I will make this a priority!

I was disappointed in this book. I finished it-reluctantly, but I made it through. The characters were very uninteresting and mundane. The element of suspense was non-existent and there were too many repeating details. The number of times the characters were interviewed by the police was mind boggling. I found myself thinking, "Just get on with it already!' The author's style of writing was very easy to read, but the idea development is lacking. A LOT of the book could be cut out and more suspense and character development added to make it more interesting. The focus on the romantic affairs of the characters instead of the actual crime and suspense element made this a pretty boring book. The storyline is great but needs developed a little more.

Forget me not is a fantastic psychological thriller that keeps you guessing from start to finish! A book that you will sacrifice sleep for ! Highly recommend!

The intensity of emotion, shock and sadness the victim’s friends and family go through is so raw anyone who has lost someone unexpectedly will find it difficult to read.

I thought this was a really well written psychological thriller. It did take a little while to pick up, but once it did I couldn't put it down. I had so many theories running in my head as I was reading. The characters were hard to relate to at some points which is why I only gave 4 stars instead of 5.

Enjoyable and a fun read!

The story caught my eye from the moment I read the blurb, and I just knew I wanted to read this book. I was not let down and can recommend this to everyone!

This was a quick read involving a murder mystery.

A woman stumbles on a stabbing victim who soon dies but not before disclosing a secret.
This was an easy and undemanding read as I did figure out the identity of the killer. However, this didn't stop me from finishing the book as it was entertaining enough.

Thanks #Netgalley, the publisher and the author for an ARC in exchange for an honest opinion.

I was hooked from the start! This was an unbelievable twisty thriller that had my attention from the start through that heart stopping ending! The characters were so real and I loved how the story was told in dual points of view. The plot, I thought was originally and very well thought out. That ending though! I thought I knew who the killer was, but once I read the climax...WOW... I was extremely shocked by that reveal. Very well done! Full of twists and turns!
