Mindfulness is a practice of thinking through problems and tasks. By using this book you can give your students and children lasting life skills to de-stress and calm down, navigate difficult emotions, control impulses, focus on what matters, and nurture empathy, kindness, and joy. Great for teachers, counselors, church studies and more. For any age of children, teens and even grownups can gain insight into their own actions. The book includes 150 activities. Even if you use only a few it could make a difference in your relationship with others. Organized by content with age group listed. I received a copy of this ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.

A good resource for anyone dealing with children- parents, teachers, daycare providers, etc. The activities range in age, from toddler to teen (adults can do them too!), and a variety of goals- focus, calm, gratitude, to name a few. The book begins with tips on how to get started, how often and how long to practice, all the things you need to know. I'm doing some of the activities myself :)

Instructional, meaningful, purposive and engaging book

This book, very well complemented with its website, is a great tool to put into practice in a playful way in family and in the classroom as educators. Christian Bergstrom is a true teacher of this subject, he even shares his experience warmly in implementing these activities with his young son, which results in excellent practical explanations landed in real life, very clear and congruent.

The author considers that each child is unique and offers us a variety of activities, in this way we can adapt them better to the character of children and teens. Therefore, he organizes them into 3 categories to choose the one that best helps us in a specific situation or to develop a specific area: activities on focus and calm; for emotional intelligence and regulation; and for joy, gratitude and kindness.

I believe without a doubt that these practices are one of the best gifts we can give us as a family, for our children and educators with a genuine interest in the overall development of children to be able to reach their full potential and happiness. I sincerely hope that this book will be translated into other languages for the benefit of more children in the world.

My sincere appreciation to the Publisher and NetGalley for allowing me to review the book

This book is a great resource for parents or teachers to engage children in some mindful play. Although this book is written with children in mind there are activities that everyone even adult can use. The book even has tips that can be helpful with ADHD and anxieties. The book is broken up into age categories as well as activities that target certain issues or emotions.

I voluntarily agreed to read a copy of this book supplied by NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own and in no way have been influenced.

This was a fantastic, practical approach to mindfulness. Although it was tailored to children the author makes it clear all ages can benefit from the exercises. (Which is absolutely true)

This book is aimed at parents, but I think teachers would get more out of it. the exercises really are aimed more at elementary years, where teachers have more time to do group exercises and one on one time, and could easily implement many of these. But having said that, because some of them are so short, even teens could do them in a homeroom, and start the day off on the right 'mind' foot. many of the exercises are ones we've done before, and I know they can be very helpful. The variety allows you to find the fit for YOUR family and child. Definitely check this out if you need help getting a child to focus!

This book is chock full of ideas and activities that are useful for ALL ages, not just children! I especially love the idea for the calming jar. I will be putting these ideas to good use in my home, and feel they will be so beneficial for our whole family!

This book is filled with great activities that parents can easily complete with their children. Although the intended audience for this book is parents, there are also a lot of strategies that could easily be carried out by teachers in their classrooms. Mindfulness is starting to get more attention and schools and conducting trainings on the topic - this book would be a great addition to those trainings and teachers' classrooms. I plan to introduce several of the activities to the preschoolers I work with to help introduce them to breathing and relaxation techniques. The calming jar is also an easy craft activity to complete with children and is something they can use over and over again.

As a healthcare professional I teach all about mindfulness but do not always practice it in my own home. This book is great and will be excellent to help teach my nephew and niece about this important practice.

I’m a big fan of mindfulness, it’s really helped me and this book is a great guide to get into it. It’s really well explained giving a good introduction, explaining the hows and whys of mindfulness. Sets up easy tasks and how to make it a daily or weekly routine. There are some greats methods in here that I’ll be taking away. Great for kids and teens, but just as good for adults.

Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for a free copy for an honest opinion
