I love seek and find books. I like the idea of mixing informational bits in the book also.

In the Waldo style, you get to search for BigFoot but also learn about wonderful cities and their peculiarites while searching for those too in the pictures. There is an answer key at the end.

It's funny because the pictures are really funny. It's kind of like a search and find book where BigFoot goes to different places. You'll like it if you like BigFoot, search and find, or funny pictures.

A fun book for children. Might be a little challenging in some spots for the much younger ones, but still fun to look and find together!

I like this concept a lot and for the most part I think this book delivers. I loved seek-and-find books as a kid and am excited that there are more options for my daughter - and I really love the educational aspect that goes along with this book. It's a fun combo and it makes a lot of sense. The art is serviceable. But there was one thing that really bothered me.

In the part about Chicago, if the author is going to discuss the Great Migration, it can't just say "when people moved there from southern states looking for jobs." It *has* to say that it was black people moving north. The discussion is about *jazz music*, the Great Migration was black people moving north from the southern states, and it's a part of Chicago history that there was a large influx of black people at that time, and when you get deeper into Chicago history and look at red-lining and housing covenants and segregation it all ties together. Obviously I don't expect all of that history in a children's seek-and-find book, but I also don't expect whitewashing of an important part of our national history. If I bought this book for my daughter, I would absolutely literally make that edit to the text before I could give it to her. Like, with a pen. Children's literature has a responsibility to be accurate and teach history the way it actually happened. I happen to know a lot about Chicago history because I live here and feel strongly about it, so that makes me wonder what else is elided from this book that I don't happen to know about.

I did not enjoy this book. My son had a hard time finding things on the page and was very distracted by how busy most pages were. He had a hard time trying to figure out the reading organisation for the text.

This is a seek and find book for all ages. What a delightful book and activity that will keep kids entertained and learning for hours. A perfect take-along to a cottage, on a long car or plane trip, or to enjoy on a lazy, rainy, summer's afternoon or freezing snowy day.

It is an interactive book that more than one person can get involved in at the same time which I like. It's always a thrill when the designated items are finally spotted (especially BigFoot) and I love how educational this book is also. Kids enjoy discovering new places and interesting facts about far away destinations. It includes segments on how to properly use the book, what people in other parts of he world call BigFoot, and the one I love the most... an answer key that is tucked in at the end. Trust me I was very thankful for that one. Other books in the series include:

BigFoot Goes on Vacation
BigFoot Spotted at World-Famous Landmarks
BigFoot Visits the Big Cities of the World
BigFoot Goes Back in Time
BigFoot Goes on Great Adventures
BigFoot Activity Book
BigFoot Fun Book!

The book is designed as a two-page visual puzzle brimming with people, creatures and activity. Not only does BigFoot make an appearance in each city but the talented author has embedded more than 500 other items for readers to hunt down and expose. This book, filled with fun facts and added pictures, makes learning about the world's most popular cities fun and engaging. I highly recommend this book.

Growing up with Waldo, I was intrigued by the concept of this book. However, it is not simply a seek-and-find novelty. Interspersed among the game are pages related to real places, and the things that make each place unique. In this way, it reads like a travel guide. The drawings where Bigfoot is hiding rely on ink sketches, making the jagged lines of Bigfoot's fur that much harder to spot. This title scores points for being fun, and educational, but in a non-academic way.

I love looking for big foot and learning about the various locations. Such a cute concept for sneaking in learning in a fun format.

Thanks to NetGalley for an advanced copy in exchange for an honest, unbiased review.

The book had good information and I enjoyed learning about foreign cities. Given that Bigfoot has been spotted all over the world, I would have enjoyed having more cities from around the world. That would have been a unique feature in this book, instead there were 4 cities from USA.

I did not care for the illustrations. Improved pictures would add so much to the quality and enjoyment of the book. I do like the seek and find challenges.

Love the search and find concept then you add in mix of the educational information on the various cities around the world and you have a great combo!! This is a great book for children 2nd grade and older.
I enjoyed sharing this book with my grandkids. They did have some difficulty locating the all of the hidden characters on my Kindle paper white. (Not a problem of the author or book itself) They still had a great time reading about the cities!

BigFoot goes on big city adventures.was a fantastic book. It had lots of things for us to do, it reminded me of the where's waldo books from my childhood. Me and my child spent hours looking for items in the book, reading the pages, and then discussing it afterwords. This book is fantastic and we are going to see if there are anymore by this author, we will definitely be buying this one.

The concept is great - a combination of fact book and seek and find. The fact pages are well done - kids will read fun facts about different major cities around the world. The information is a mix of history and geography. However, the seek and find pages are poorly executed. What some reviewers have called abstract I would call messy, and this detracts from the overall experience because the “seeking” is made too easy, and very little can be gained from these pages. Improvement on those pages would make this a highly sought after book in my elementary classroom, but my kids wouldn’t be interested in its current form.

Lots of information to keep the book adventure going, illustrations were simplistic and the items were hidden well. My biggest complaint with the set up of this book was that as I paged through the story on my kindle the items to look for were spread out on many pages, meaning the need to flip back and forth between three or four pages took a little away from the fun. The idea of the book is fun and neat, the execution has its problems.

Find out about 10 cities around the world—don’t know how Mayapan in Mexico made the cut—and then search for the elusive BigFoot in the same way you would for Waldo.
Biggie is incredibly difficult to find, but at least he’s always in his famous pose, which helps a little. It’s also good that he’s always in context, unlike the koalas on top of the Sydney Opera House. What doesn’t help is the art style, which is watercolory/Impressionistic, sometimes not sharp enough for details. The rampant unicorns were easier to find, as were just about every other thing except the footprints. Some of the objects were a little silly, though, like the presidential pens. I eventually had to zoom in quite a bit to find him. For those with the physical version, hope you’ve got glasses or a magnifier, but now that you know what you’re getting into, it’s nothing but fun.
Some of the factoids explain what are simple concepts, so this book seems to be targeted for kids, even if it claims all ages.

This book was great! BigFoot Goes on Big City Adventures is a lesson in geography as well as a bit of history made fun. The book starts with talking about BigFoot, who he is and the different names he goes by. The job of the reader is to then find BigFoot in each of the ten cities that follow. However, you also learn about each of the cities (ranging from Sydney, Australia to Chicago, Illinois) and the picture that is included is from each city.
On each city's page, you need to not only find BigFoot, but also items that are relevant to that city (koalas in Australia, deep dish pizza in Chicago).
This book is great as a look and find book for younger readers, but also as an interesting geography lesson for older readers. It makes learning about geography fun!

What a cool way to set up a seek and find book! I loved the opportunity to learn more about the legend of Bigfoot as well as countries the world. My kids are going to love it!

BigFoot Goes on Big City Adventures is a fun and educational book! I love books that have little captions of information along with lots of illustrations to not overload the reader and also keep their attention.
The books starts off with some background information on the legend of BigFoot. Then it takes you to several cities around the world, giving you facts and details of each city, coupled with a hidden picture page of that city with BigFoot hidden in each of the cities. I think my 11 year-old homeschooled son would enjoy reading this book! In fact, I plan on having him read it this next week. I think it would make a great addition to any school library or homeschooling family.

My 8-year old daughter read this book together. She loves look and find books. She was pleasantly surprised to see the facts about Big Foot and cities. She also thought the look and find pages were challenging enough, and liked that there were many different things to find. This book has some great visuals and I think it would appeal especially to boys in grades 2-5.

This "informational text" turned seek-and-find is a ton of fun. Students are able to read about BigFoot while participating in activities that require focus and attention, attempting to spot the mysterious creature themselves. Kids among a range of ages will appreciate this text - in between classes, late at night, or on long car rides. Illustrations are exciting and colorful, with facts and information that will leave you questioning whether BigFoot is real or not.
