(5 stars) - thoroughly satisfying wrap up to the series
I've been eagerly awaiting book 3 in the Bradford Sisters series for some time now. It's funny how even the characters in books 1 & 2 have been expressing impatience for Britt to recognize Zander's love for her, but this is not the usual superficial treatment of the best-friends-to-lovers trope.
As much as I was eager for Britt & Zander to finally be together, I was very impressed with the author's careful psychological accuracy in depicting the characters' developing thought processes & reactions.
The conflicts involved in changing the status of their relationship were real. I totally understood where they both were at mentally & emotionally all the way through the story.
Britt has some serious maturing to do before she can be in a serious relationship, and we are helped to understand why it hasn't happened sooner. And why the time hasn't been right before now.
The story is full of humor, mystery and excitement, and the author keeps it believable all the way to the end. Ironically, as fun as their first kiss is once it finally happens, it's their second kiss that curls your toes!
Content
Clean romance level: passionate kissing
Religion: This is a Christian romance with a minor amount of talk regarding characters' relationships with God & prayer. It's done in a way that fits naturally & is not preachy.

This story exceeded my expectations. I have been looking forward to reading Britt and Zander's story for soooo long, and once I finally settled in to read it, I found that I was blissfully swept into the story and turning pages as fast as I could read to find out what would happen next. On the other hand, I also wanted to slow down because I knew that this is the last book in the Bradford sisters series, and I didn't want it to end.
I loved the character growth in this story, as well as the friendship that grew into something deeper. These characters grew on me as the story progressed and I found myself talking to them even though logically I knew they couldn't hear me. I just couldn't help myself!
I appreciated how graciously Becky Wade tackled the tough subjects and through the lens of grace and love, brought them around full circle. If you haven't yet met the Bradford sisters, now is the time to pick up the stories and settle in for some delightful, page-turning stories.

Sweet on You
By Becky Wade
Sweet on You is the third book to Becky Wades Bradford Sisters Romance series. This book can be read alone or with the series, however, will feel more complete read with the first two books.
Britt Bradford is a free-spirited chocolatier in Merryweather, Washington. When her best friend Zander returns to town for his uncle’s funeral though her feelings get complicated.
Zander Ford has been smitten with Britt since they met back in Jr. High. He has been traveling the world following a successful book launch to avoid his growing feelings for Britt. Their friendship is more important than anything but when he is called home because of his uncle’s death he is faced with Britt and the news that his uncle was not who he thought he was.
There are books that pull you in and make you devour every word, sadly this was not one of them for me. I skimmed through most of this book only needing a sentence from each paragraph to put together the story. I am probably being over critical but it just wasn’t for me.
Here is a quote that I enjoyed:
“…He’d realized Britt’s second-hand faith wasn’t going to be enough to sustain him over the long haul.”

This book was fantastic! I have waited eagerly for Britt and Zander’s story and I can happily say that I was not disappointed. Becky Wade wrote a beautiful story where the feelings of both characters-the yearning, the apprehension, the friendship, the love-were felt so strongly as I read the story. The added mystery surrounding Uncle Frank was well done and blended well with Britt and Zander’s story arc. Don’t disregard the epilogue in this one-such a beautiful continuation to wrap everything up. I’m sad that the series has ended but happy that it ended on such a spectacular note!

Sweet on You is book three from Becky Wade's series, A Bradford Sisters Romance. I have read the first two books in the series and this one is by far my favorite of the three. Zander and Britt were cute together. I loved how they got involved trying to solve the mystery of his uncle’s life and who he really was. I love family history, their mysteries and trying to solve them. So, this part of the book was fascinating to me. I could not have guessed or predicted how it all turned out.
I give Sweet on You a well deserved five plus stars and I highly recommend it. This book is most definitely worth a read.
I received this book from the publisher. This review is 100% my own honest opinion.

You know what would make this book better? A scrach 'n sniff cover. Oh, the glorious descriptions of chocolate between these covers. And there's the delicious story as well - a tender, sweet romance and a mystery.
One of author Becky Wade's gifts is immersing the reader deeply in the psyche of her protagonists. Their histories, motivations, weaknesses, and, ultimately, their triumphs are so skillfully developed that the characters jump off of the page.
I have a weak spot for the victims of unrequited love, so Zander won my sympathy right off the bat. But Britt's fierce independence eventually drew me in too. As a result, I thoroughly enjoyed their story as well as getting a glimpse of the other couples from previous books in the series along with the cabal of quirky characters that inhabit Merryweather.
The notes and text messages interspersed between chapters also wonderfully developed the story, bringing home Britt's unrealized devotion to Zander. Amazing how many other girls, in here estimation, were "not a fit" for Zander. LOL
If you have't read one of Becky Wader's Christian romances, what are you waiting for?

I just finished this book and really enjoyed it. I will say that it took me a while to get into it, but once I did it was a good read. The storyline was interesting and I enjoyed getting to know more about Britt and Zander and their history together. It's a book that's about taking chances and also realising that the past shapes people more than you think.

In Sweet on You, Becky Wade delivers a beautifully written friends-to-lovers novel filled with a unique mystery, laugh-out-loud humor, stirring character development, and sizzling romance!
The friends-to-lovers trope worked especially well in Sweet on You because Britt is such a well-developed character. Her personality is complex as are her reasons for avoiding romance with Zander. Beyond fear of ruining their friendship, much of Britt's reluctance to be more than friends derives from her life experiences and personality. She undergoes a character transformation as the novel progresses, but especially near the end of the book. It is only through these changes that the she finds faith to trust God and open her heart more fully to Zander.
Sweet on You caught my attention at the beginning and I read it in two nights. In some ways, it felt like an ode to chocolate and love. However, not everything was light and sweet. Embedded in the plot and character development are themes about trusting God, God's faithfulness, and letting go of one's pride and abilities. The novel also addresses the short-term and long-term effects of trauma. I loved the combination of sweet romance with deeper themes and issues.
Lastly, Sweet on You is the third and final novel in Becky Wade's Bradford Sisters Romance series. I enjoyed reading Britt's love story and the follow-up glimpses into Nora and Willow's lives. Though Sweet On You by Becky Wade could be read as a stand-alone, I recommend reading the series in order. They're all good and Falling For You is my personal favorite of the three.

Since I read the prequel I have loved this series and since the first book I have been looking forward to reading Zander and Britt's story. Becky Wade did not disappoint. I almost couldn't read fast enough.
Zander has been in love with Britt since he was 14 years old. He learned all about cooking, baking, ingredients and most importantly chocolate for her. Yet he couldn't tell how he felt because he rather continue pining uselessly than lose her friendship. He left on a world tour to get over his feeling but he's back for his uncle's funeral.
Britt adores Zander. He's her best friend. No one understands her and her love of chocolate like he does. She may be thinking about him in a more than friendly manner now that he's back home.
I adore the writing technique used throughout this series to fill in the gaps if you will. The snippets of phone calls, text messages, diary entries, letters and the like. I picked up so much without losing the delightful flow of this story to get all the details in. It is truly an inspired touch that I appreciated. I loved getting a glimpse of Britt's feelings for Zander through the years without it having to be spelled out for me.

I have been waiting for this book ever since I discovered the Bradford Sisters in True to You and Falling for You last year. These books have all been 5 star reads for me.
In Sweet on You, we get the story of the youngest Bradford sister Britt, who is a chocolatier, and her long time friend Zander. If you love stories of friends falling in love, this book is for you. But it’s so much more than a romance. It’s part suspense as Britt and Zander try to solve the mystery of a decades old art heist and get tangled up with some ruthless thieves. All the while trying to ignore, sort and confront their feelings for each other. And it’s inspirational to watch Britt, a young woman who prides herself on her independence, come to realize that she can depend on God all of the time. And that she doesn’t have to face anything alone. Britt and Zander’s story was just beautiful. This book is fast paced, well written and engaging.

Since you are visiting the reviews section for this book I am going to have to guess it’s because: a. You have never read a book written by Becky Wade, or b. You haven’t read any of the other books in the Bradford Sisters series. If you have read anything about Britt or Zander, you had to be dying to get your hands on this book like I was. There is just something about Zander that draws me in. Not only is his personality totally unique, but he’s also tall, dark, and handsome, with tattoos! Would it be weird to insert a drool face? I also love Britt and was eager to get to know her better. She makes chocolate masterpieces like no one else, and I totally wish I could try some of her creations. This story took me by surprise and had so many unexpected twists and turns.
Sweet on You was long awaited, and worth every agonizing moment. Wade had me turning pages late into the night. Many dream of their significant other being their best friend, and I loved seeing a different side of it. Britt and Zander have always been inseparable, and Zander leaving on a trip of his dreams throws them both off. Will space and time apart show them what they have in each other? Zander is thrown for another loop when the uncle who helped raise him has a suspicious death. Working together to untangle the past should open their eyes to the love they can have shouldn’t it? Danger lurks around every corner, and there might be more than true love at stake.
I loved every moment of this book. I can’t wait to see what Wade comes up with next. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys Romance with a little mystery. This book totally works as a stand alone, but I recommend reading the whole series because they are all so good. Plus now you won’t have to wait in agony for the next book to be released like I did. I received a copy of this book from Bethany House Publishers and was in no way forced to post a review. All opinions expressed are my own.

I made a mistake with this book by thinking that during the slow times at work I could finish it. What made it difficult is having to find a box of tissues for the last part of the book and not admit that I needed them. In my case I was lucky in which no one appeared to ask why I was blowing my nose so much.
Every story by Becky Wade seems to infuse a life lesson within the pages. This one is no exception.
Britt and Zander have been friends for years, but what Britt doesn't know is that her best friend has feelings for her. A published author, Zander was on a grand publicity tour when he heard of his uncles death. So he rushed home with no intention to return on his world tour. While home, Zander discovers that his uncle appears to have been hiding some notable secrets, ones that he and Britt are determined to uncover.
For the last book in the Bradford Sisters series, I believe it ended on a spectacular note. Extraordinary written, with no skimping on quality. It makes the entire series a complete package. To create the stories for three sisters, backstory and the drama had to be quite an undertaking. Needless to say, I look forward to seeing what other stories and escapades Becky has up her sleeve in future books.
The publisher has provided me with a complimentary copy of this book or advanced reading copy through NetGalley.

True to you? Wonderful. Falling for You? Lovely. But Sweet on You? Best of the bunch.
It's all the things a girl loves most, wrapped in one fantastic story. Food, friendship, angst, an element of mystery, sweet kisses, and a touch of suspense make this an ideal book! Britt is a wonderful heroine. So much fierce independence and culinary brilliance. And Zander? Charming and adorably head over heels for Britt. It's the perfect friends-to-more story, complete with increasing tension and emotional turbulence.
I was immediately invested in the characters and couldn't put down the book. I'm not a re-reader, and I'm already reading it again because it was so wonderful.

I love Zander. In True to You, book 1 in the series, Zander is a sweet boy, who has grown up, after travels overseas, to be a kind-hearted man. Britt made me a little crazy, in a good way. She's a dare-devil who pushes the limit. But the two, with a solid friendship have much to figure out. Then there is the mystery that folds into the lives of Zander and Britt. Well done, Becky Wade. This is a great addition to the series. I loved Britt's chocolate shop, where I wanted to taste the peppermint truffles and revisiting the Merryweather Historical Village where much of the story takes place. I received a complimentary copy of this book from Bethany House via NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Whenever I read a Becky Wade book I know that I’m in for an exciting and emotional ride. However, I had no idea just how much that would prove to be true in Sweet on You! It’s full of all of the passion and faith-building moments that I love, but this story is especially delicious! It has a tattooed, dark-haired, blue-eyed hero, detailed descriptions of chocolate, yummy romance, and even some tense action scenes!
Poor Zander, the aforementioned brunette, has been in love with Britt for over a decade. Britt has been completely oblivious which is sort of forgivable because she’s been busy establishing a gourmet chocolate shop that sounds so delicious that it makes my mouth water.
Zander has returned to Washington after his uncle dies suddenly, leaving a mystery for his family to untangle. While he was away, Britt has started to realize how much she’s missed his presence in her life. As they work together to uncover Zander’s uncle’s past, they are forced to confront their feelings and decide what it means for their future. While their childhoods were quite different from each other, they are both left with issues that need to be resolved before they can have the happy ending that we’ve all been waiting impatiently for! Trust me, it’s so worth the wait! I highly recommend running out and getting this book ASAP! Just make sure that you have some chocolate on hand because it will make you hungry!
I received a copy of this book from the author and am under no obligation to provide a positive review. All opinions are my own. M

I’ll review on Amazon, Goodreads and Barnes & Noble separately today.

I’ve been craving chocolate since I read this book. I could smell and taste the chocolate concoctions that Britt made. This third book in this series is best read in order. It could stand alone, but you will get so much more out of it when you know the back stories of her parents and sisters. Britt is such a fun spitfire, although she did frustrate me as well. Zander is such a brilliant non-traditional hero! Their story has been well worth the wait! Becky Wade sets the bar for contemporary romance. I recommend Sweet on You!

I loved True to You, the first book in this series, and I’ve been waiting two long years to read Britt and Zander’s story. Zander was the secondary character who most caught my attention in True to You, so I wanted to know more about him and his unrequited love for Britt.
But when I started the story, I was in that strange place of desperately wanting to read it, but also not wanting to read it … because once I’ve finished it, then the series will be over. And that brought a major reader dilemma: did I want to read it slowly and savour the experience, or did I want to read it quickly to find out what happens.
Okay, I have no self-control when it comes to Becky Wade, so I read it quickly.
On the surface, Sweet on You is a sweet (!) romance about a chocolatier and the novelist who has loved her for close on half his life … and she’s never noticed. Underneath, it’s a story about overcoming the lies we believe about who we are, about finding ourselves in God, and about becoming the people he meant us to be.
Britt’s problem is that she is independent—too independent, in that she’s never learned to depend on God. I suspect this is a problem for a lot of modern women, who have been raised to be independent rather than depending on fathers or husbands. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, but it does mean that we forget we’re supposed to trust and depend on God.
Zander’s problem is the same, but from a different angle.
He’s been praying Britt would fall in love with him for years, yet God hasn’t answered that prayer (I’m sure we all have prayers we’ve prayed for years that God hasn’t answered yet). Zander has allowed that to separate him from God:
“He hadn’t worshipped from a place of gratitude. He’d worshipped from a place of duty.”
I suspect that’s also true of many people. And it’s these internal issues that make Sweet on You such an excellent example of Christian fiction. Let’s face it, I’ve known for two years that Britt was eventually going to fall for Zander. I’ve been looking forward to it, because I love the friends-to-something-more plot. And that played out more or less how every friends-to-more romance plays out.
There was also a suspense plot, which I enjoyed because I’ve always loved romantic suspense. That element of the was less predictable (good) and meant there were external events driving Britt and Zander together. This is the aspect of the plot which kept me reading … but it’s not the element I’m thinking about now I’ve finished.
What makes Sweet on You different is the Christian element, the way it allows us to explore some of the lies of the modern world, and to better understand God’s solutions.
I think I’m going to have to read it again to understand this even better. This time I’ll read slowly.
Thanks to Bethany House and NetGalley for providing a free ebook for review.

I have to admit that I’m a bit sad to write this review because it means the Bradford Sisters Series has concluded. * Insert sobbing * BUT! What a grand finale it was! Sweet on You was everything fabulous and get ready for my intense gushing.
There are so many things to love about this novel that I’m not exactly sure where to begin. But here goes. As a chocolate enthusiast I adored that Britt owned a chocolate shop called Sweet Art. This book should really come with a disclaimer stating: Beware - reading this novel will cause extreme chocolate cravings. Because sure enough, I wasn’t halfway into the story before I donned my chef hat and whipped up some sweet treats.
Another thing I adored about this story is Britt’s character arc. At first glance, she appears a bit on the shallow side, but as the story progresses the undertones of her actions revealed to me her depths. Her layers became visible. I would venture to say that I’ve never seen as much growth and maturity develop in this author’s heroines than what’s accomplished in Britt. Her “aha moment” was powerful and moving.
I can’t conclude this review without mentioning Zander. His steadfast love for Britt, even knowing it was unrequited, reminded me a lot of Christ’s love for us. It’s constant. Unchanging no matter how we act. Zander’s protective nature, amusing wit, and his steady admiration for Britt was endearing.
Combine all these factors with an intriguing mystery and you have one stellar story. While I’m still sad this series has come to an end, I can’t help but be excited for what this author will bring to the table next!
*I was given a copy by the author. All opinions are my own.

Ahhh! Zander! Britt and Zander's story does not disappoint. In fact, it goes well beyond what I was thinking it would be. Loved this third and final installment of this series. But be warned, better grab some chocolate before you read because you will definitely want some. Britt is as independent as they come. She is adventurous and loves to create chocolate. She has been best friends with Zander since....well since forever. She befriended Zander when his world was falling apart and that friendship has grown strong and steady. Problem is, Zander's world is once again coming unwound. The loving family he thought he had in his Aunt and Uncle isn't so cut and dried anymore and sends him down a path of discovery. And that friendship with Britt? That is coming unwound too as Zander realizes that he can no longer control his emotions around Britt, he loves her. But he knows Britt doesn't feel the same way. The story grabs hold of my curiosity and you want to know what is going on with Zander's family. At the same time, who cares about that when all I want is to see Britt and Zander together as a couple, not just friends. This will definitely be a read again book for me.
