I loved this book! It was my most-anticipated of the series and it did not disappoint in any way.

Isn't it so cool that Britt is a chocolate maker? I would highly recommend that you have chocolate near you because of that. From figuring out recipes to Zander trying and naming ingredients in a chocolate, this book has sweet moments scattered throughout.

The character development was amazing and Britt really grew and learned that she does NOT have to be perfect 100% of the time and it is okay to lean on Zander and her family when she is struggling. That might not seem like much of a character growth to some, but once you 'get to know' Britt, you see what I mean.

I would recommend this to anyone looking for a sweet read.

What a way to end this fabulous series! I've been dying for Zander's story since the first book in the Bradford Sisters Romance Series. And although Ty Porter (from Becky Wade's book, Meant to be Mine) has been my #1 book boyfriend for years, Zander has dethroned him (Sorry Ty!). I enjoyed returning to the charming setting of this novel, as well as getting to visit with old friends from the previous stories. The faith elements were amazing and touching. The mystery and suspense were incredibly gripping. I was actually surprised at just how much I enjoyed that aspect of the book. I found myself reading late into the night, several nights in a row, wanting to see what happened next. But Zander. Ohmyword. Zander was really something else. Honorable, patient, caring, protective, devoted. *le sigh* This will be a story I’ll read again and again.

I'd read the other books in this series and was curious to see the conclusion, the baby Bradford sister and her story. The author writes with raw emotions, making you feel both the pain and the humor that the characters experience and allowing you to undergo transformations with them. In this novel, the characters have been together for several years, but need to make that final journey to coupledom. However, to do so, they have to overcome some issues from their past....a 'sins of the fathers on the sons' type of thing. At times you'll think you know how it will end and then there's a twist! But my biggest complaint about this book is how much chocolate I ate while reading it....it's pervasive...there's chocolate mentioned everywhere, and it makes you want some!

Oh my stars! What a phenomenal, unputdownable conclusion to the Bradford Sisters Romance series! I have loved all of Becky's books to date and have been anxiously anticipating Britt and Zander's story since book one! I am thrilled to say that Sweet on You was everything I had hoped for and more! I already knew I loved Zander and Britt and I was so excited to get inside their heads. Britt made a fabulous heroine, I found myself relating to her in several ways and it was a delight to watch her faith journey! And, Zander, oh my word! SWOON! His kindness and all the things he did and sacrificed for Britt were incredible, and never failed to make me melt! He is definitely one of my favorite heroes of 2019 so far!
Like always with Becky's books the humorous banter in Sweet on You was fabulous! I can't begin to count the number of times I laughed out loud while reading this book!
This book contains a few very suspenseful chapters, which is something that I wasn't expecting, but was super excited to find, and it was so well written that at any time Becky could easily crossover into writing romantic suspense with no problem at all!
Overall, I adored everything about this book, and loved every second of it with all my heart! I've loved the entire series and even though it's next to impossible to choose favorites, I think Sweet on You just may be my very favorite! This series is everything you could ever want in a Christian contemporary romance, if you haven't started them yet then what in the world are you waiting for?! I most highly recommend Sweet on You, I would rate it higher than five stars if I could! It has a permanent spot on my keeper shelf and is one of my favorite books of 2019 so far!

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher. Which did not influence my review in any way, all thoughts and opinions are one hundred percent my own.

What a wonderful conclusion to The Bradford Sisters Series. Let me just say that you will want to have ALL of the chocolate while reading this book so be sure to hit the store before you open to page 1. Becky Wade once again leads readers on a love story that goes beyond the main characters. Each of her stories includes the wonderful message of how God loves each of us. I didn't think I would connect with Britt nearly as much as I did and the lessons I learned from her will stay with me for quite some time. After finishing the book, I continued to stay in Merryweather mentally for the next week, unable to open another book as I pondered the truths within its pages. This book has a bit more suspense to it than the others in the series and it was so well done! And of course, there is Becky Wade's signature humor woven throughout the book that had me laughing out loud. It was an emotional ride, taking you from tears to laughter and back again (and even a couple of scenes that left you holding your breath!).

Becky Wade created a sweet and loving love story with Sweet On You. This story reminds me so much of the story of God's love for us. He has pursued each of us for years. God's love is shown in all his actions whether us humans want to see it or not. With Sweet On You, Wade crafted a love story between Zander and Britt that I have been waiting on since reading True to You. I really enjoyed the struggle internally for Zander. Most romances feature the hero as unrealistic and hopeful, but not to my liking. Something about Wade's creation of Zander struck realistically with me. She is one of the few contemporary romance authors that I enjoy. The plot had a mystery with a hunt for Zander's Uncle's past, and I liked that twist to the story too. Overall, Sweet on You by Becky Wade is a wonderful love story mirroring God's love for us. I enjoyed spending time with Britt, Nora, and Willow as well as their husbands. Fans of contemporary romance should pick this book and series up.

I received a complimentary copy of Sweet On You by Becky Wade from Bethany House Publishers, but the opinions stated are all my own.

I love all of Becky Wade’s books & Sweet On You is no exception. This novel focuses on the enduring friendship of Zander, who has loved candy-maker Britt since elementary school, and Britt, who has been Zander’s champion, companion, and protector over the years.

Their story is charming, sweetly romantic, inspirational, and real. The plot touches lightly on the wrongs and heartbreaks of this world—adults ruined by addictions, greed, and crime, and the neglected children who pay the price into adulthood. But the answers provided are simple and true:

“The God I’ve come to lean on understands me better than I understand myself. Ultimately, His timing was perfect.”

“I survived because I let God carry me through it . . . Here’s what I know for sure: You can rely on Him in the hard as well as in the easy. If He leads you into something hard, then He’ll provide the grace you need to bear up under it.”

I enjoyed the interactions of all the characters in Zander & Britt’s world. Though flawed, they are also big-hearted, loyal, wise, and funny. I wish my visit with them could have been even longer!

I can’t wait to add a copy to my classroom library, because my student readers value Becky Wade books as much as I do!

Entertaining, uplifting & satisfying! Don’t miss this great read!

Thanks so much to NetGalley & Bethany House for the opportunity to read this book.

Quotes I like . . .

“He had been unfaithful, and if God operated on human rules of fairness, then he would have no right to ask God anything. God would have every right to turn away and shut His ears to his pleas. But against all odds and all comprehension, God didn’t operate on human rules. He’d trampled fairness when He’d sanctioned the most unfair act of history—the crucifixion. Because of that, he had been made right with God. He was God’s son. A son full of mistakes. But a son, nonetheless.”

“His unfaithfulness couldn’t negate God’s faithfulness. Faithfulness was inseparable from God’s character.”

“Joy—deep, simple joy—pulled his mouth into a grin. He opened his arms and caught her with an oomph. Then he spun her around in the air twice. Carefully, he set her back on her feet, steadying her the way he always had emotionally. She hugged him tight, pressing the side of her face against his chest for several long moments.”

“And just like that, standing in the middle of Merryweather Historical Village and looking into her face without continents separating them, the biggest part of his soul—the part that had been missing for a year and a half—locked back into place.”

“Zander had a romantic, slightly heartbreaking, usually serious face. He could pass as either an nineteenth-century poet or one of those harshly handsome vampires from Twilight.”

“When you prayed for something every day and heard nothing but silence for more than a decade, it ground down your hope like corn into cornmeal. Zander had begun to wonder if God could still be good while denying him the one thing he’d prayed for most. Could he depend on a God who refused to give him what he’d waited years for? The right answer was yes. God was still good. God was still dependable. However, disillusionment had driven a wedge into his relationship with God. What had once been simple was now complicated.”

“I’ve traveled all over the world searching for things. Freedom. Experiences I can collect like shells from a beach. Culture. History. Learning. Writing inspiration. The more I search the world, the more certain I am that the person I love the most is right where I began. Everything I truly want can be found in my own hometown.”

“The love he’d extended to her was a sacred trust. She needed to handle it with extreme care. His parents’ love hadn’t proven trustworthy. He’d just lost his uncle. She absolutely had to prove herself dependable in this situation. In fact, she wanted to prove herself to be better than dependable. She wanted to make up for the pain she’d caused him in the past.”
