I made a mistake with this book by thinking that during the slow times at work I could finish it. What made it difficult is having to find a box of tissues for the last part of the book and not admit that I needed them. In my case I was lucky in which no one appeared to ask why I was blowing my nose so much.

Every story by Becky Wade seems to infuse a life lesson within the pages. This one is no exception. 

Britt and Zander have been friends for years, but what Britt doesn't know is that her best friend has feelings for her. A published author, Zander was on a grand publicity tour when he heard of his uncles death. So he rushed home with no intention to return on his world tour. While home, Zander discovers that his uncle appears to have been hiding some notable secrets, ones that he and Britt are determined to uncover.

For the last book in the Bradford Sisters series, I believe it ended on a spectacular note. Extraordinary written, with no skimping on quality. It makes the entire series a complete package. To create the stories for three sisters, backstory and the drama had to be quite an undertaking. Needless to say, I look forward to seeing what other stories and escapades Becky has up her sleeve in future books.

True to you? Wonderful. Falling for You? Lovely. But Sweet on You? Best of the bunch.

It's all the things a girl loves most, wrapped in one fantastic story. Food, friendship, angst, an element of mystery, sweet kisses, and a touch of suspense make this an ideal book! Britt is a wonderful heroine. So much fierce independence and culinary brilliance. And Zander? Charming and adorably head over heels for Britt. It's the perfect friends-to-more story, complete with increasing tension and emotional turbulence.

I was immediately invested in the characters and couldn't put down the book. I'm not a re-reader, and I'm already reading it again because it was so wonderful.

I love Zander. In True to You, book 1 in the series, Zander is a sweet boy, who has grown up, after travels overseas, to be a kind-hearted man. Britt made me a little crazy, in a good way. She's a dare-devil who pushes the limit. But the two, with a solid friendship have much to figure out. Then there is the mystery that folds into the lives of Zander and Britt. Well done, Becky Wade. This is a great addition to the series. I loved Britt's chocolate shop, where I wanted to taste the peppermint truffles and revisiting the Merryweather Historical Village where much of the story takes place. Whenever I read a Becky Wade book I know that I’m in for an exciting and emotional ride. However, I had no idea just how much that would prove to be true in Sweet on You! It’s full of all of the passion and faith-building moments that I love, but this story is especially delicious! It has a tattooed, dark-haired, blue-eyed hero, detailed descriptions of chocolate, yummy romance, and even some tense action scenes!

Poor Zander, the aforementioned brunette, has been in love with Britt for over a decade. Britt has been completely oblivious which is sort of forgivable because she’s been busy establishing a gourmet chocolate shop that sounds so delicious that it makes my mouth water.

Zander has returned to Washington after his uncle dies suddenly, leaving a mystery for his family to untangle. While he was away, Britt has started to realize how much she’s missed his presence in her life. As they work together to uncover Zander’s uncle’s past, they are forced to confront their feelings and decide what it means for their future. While their childhoods were quite different from each other, they are both left with issues that need to be resolved before they can have the happy ending that we’ve all been waiting impatiently for! Trust me, it’s so worth the wait! I highly recommend running out and getting this book ASAP! Just make sure that you have some chocolate on hand because it will make you hungry!

I’ve been craving chocolate since I read this book. I could smell and taste the chocolate concoctions that Britt made. This third book in this series is best read in order. It could stand alone, but you will get so much more out of it when you know the back stories of her parents and sisters. Britt is such a fun spitfire, although she did frustrate me as well. Zander is such a brilliant non-traditional hero! Their story has been well worth the wait! Becky Wade sets the bar for contemporary romance. I recommend Sweet on You!

I loved True to You, the first book in this series, and I’ve been waiting two long years to read Britt and Zander’s story. Zander was the secondary character who most caught my attention in True to You, so I wanted to know more about him and his unrequited love for Britt.

But when I started the story, I was in that strange place of desperately wanting to read it, but also not wanting to read it … because once I’ve finished it, then the series will be over. And that brought a major reader dilemma: did I want to read it slowly and savour the experience, or did I want to read it quickly to find out what happens.

Okay, I have no self-control when it comes to Becky Wade, so I read it quickly.
On the surface, Sweet on You is a sweet (!) romance about a chocolatier and the novelist who has loved her for close on half his life … and she’s never noticed. Underneath, it’s a story about overcoming the lies we believe about who we are, about finding ourselves in God, and about becoming the people he meant us to be.

Britt’s problem is that she is independent—too independent, in that she’s never learned to depend on God. I suspect this is a problem for a lot of modern women, who have been raised to be independent rather than depending on fathers or husbands. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, but it does mean that we forget we’re supposed to trust and depend on God.

Zander’s problem is the same, but from a different angle.
He’s been praying Britt would fall in love with him for years, yet God hasn’t answered that prayer (I’m sure we all have prayers we’ve prayed for years that God hasn’t answered yet). Zander has allowed that to separate him from God:

“He hadn’t worshipped from a place of gratitude. He’d worshipped from a place of duty.”

I suspect that’s also true of many people. And it’s these internal issues that make Sweet on You such an excellent example of Christian fiction. Let’s face it, I’ve known for two years that Britt was eventually going to fall for Zander. I’ve been looking forward to it, because I love the friends-to-something-more plot. And that played out more or less how every friends-to-more romance plays out.

There was also a suspense plot, which I enjoyed because I’ve always loved romantic suspense. That element of the was less predictable (good) and meant there were external events driving Britt and Zander together. This is the aspect of the plot which kept me reading … but it’s not the element I’m thinking about now I’ve finished.

What makes Sweet on You different is the Christian element, the way it allows us to explore some of the lies of the modern world, and to better understand God’s solutions.

I think I’m going to have to read it again to understand this even better. This time I’ll read slowly.

I have to admit that I’m a bit sad to write this review because it means the Bradford Sisters Series has concluded. * Insert sobbing * BUT! What a grand finale it was! Sweet on You was everything fabulous and get ready for my intense gushing.

There are so many things to love about this novel that I’m not exactly sure where to begin. But here goes. As a chocolate enthusiast I adored that Britt owned a chocolate shop called Sweet Art. This book should really come with a disclaimer stating: Beware - reading this novel will cause extreme chocolate cravings. Because sure enough, I wasn’t halfway into the story before I donned my chef hat and whipped up some sweet treats.

Another thing I adored about this story is Britt’s character arc. At first glance, she appears a bit on the shallow side, but as the story progresses the undertones of her actions revealed to me her depths. Her layers became visible. I would venture to say that I’ve never seen as much growth and maturity develop in this author’s heroines than what’s accomplished in Britt. Her “aha moment” was powerful and moving.

I can’t conclude this review without mentioning Zander. His steadfast love for Britt, even knowing it was unrequited, reminded me a lot of Christ’s love for us. It’s constant. Unchanging no matter how we act. Zander’s protective nature, amusing wit, and his steady admiration for Britt was endearing.

Combine all these factors with an intriguing mystery and you have one stellar story. While I’m still sad this series has come to an end, I can’t help but be excited for what this author will bring to the table next!

Ahhh! Zander! Britt and Zander's story does not disappoint. In fact, it goes well beyond what I was thinking it would be. Loved this third and final installment of this series. But be warned, better grab some chocolate before you read because you will definitely want some. Britt is as independent as they come. She is adventurous and loves to create chocolate. She has been best friends with Zander since....well since forever. She befriended Zander when his world was falling apart and that friendship has grown strong and steady. Problem is, Zander's world is once again coming unwound. The loving family he thought he had in his Aunt and Uncle isn't so cut and dried anymore and sends him down a path of discovery. And that friendship with Britt? That is coming unwound too as Zander realizes that he can no longer control his emotions around Britt, he loves her. But he knows Britt doesn't feel the same way. The story grabs hold of my curiosity and you want to know what is going on with Zander's family. At the same time, who cares about that when all I want is to see Britt and Zander together as a couple, not just friends. This will definitely be a read again book for me.

I requested the opportunity to read and review this book because I had become familiar with the author, Becky Wade, through her Pinterest challenges with author Katie Ganshert. Based on the title I had expected a sweet romance, which it was, but I was very pleased to discover that it was also based around a mystery. I truly enjoyed Sweet on You and its theme of giving up self-reliance for reliance on God. Our culture esteems those who display self-reliance, but in actuality it is stepping out in faith to rely on God that matters most. This story is only made more endearing by the fact that the female main character is a master chocolatier and the male an up and coming author. A winning combination indeed!

My Thoughts: Becky Wade is a fantastic author, and I have been anxiously awaiting the next book in this series. It doesn’t disappoint. There is romance, action and adventure, and mystery. This is one of my favorite reads this year.
It is well-written, the characters are interesting, and there are plenty of twists and turns throughout the book. I loved it.
I don’t think you would need to read the previous books to enjoy this one, but I highly recommend reading them because they contain a lot of backstory, and are wonderful books as well.
This is a definite buy in my book-so go pick it up!

This book is my favorite to date by Becky Wade!
Best friends falling in love, what could make for a better story? Zander and Britt have been best friends for such a long time....the only problem is that he's loved her for just as long...and she's had no idea.
Now, however, things are about to change. Why does Britt feel like she's starting to crush on Zander? And what is this going to do to their friendship?
I love seeing their relationship...how they work through their difficulties...how they grow...and how they both can finally admit to their real feelings for each other.

I also love, loved the suspense that is a part of this story! Completely unexpected, and such great twists and turns! I had no idea what was coming, or how it would all play out. I think Ms. Wade should seriously consider writing only romantic suspense in the future!!

I LOVED this book. It was wonderful to read Britt's story. Zander is a unique hero. The guy next door, who is wounded, but rises above again and again. The heroine is slow to acknowledge the love she has for him is more than friendship. Such a sweet story and truly perfection. I loved it!

Zander Ford has loved Britt Bradford since ninth grade. Thirteen years later they are still best friends, but Zander has never told Britt how he feels because it's clear that she doesn't feel the same. When the success of his first novel allows Zander the chance to travel, he takes off a world tour hoping it will help him get Britt out of the prominent place she's held in his heart.

Master chocolatier Britt runs her own chocolate shop, dates as many men who are interested, and enjoys mountain biking and kayaking. She loves her independence. She misses Zander and doesn't quite understand his sudden need to trot the globe, but she's happy for him. As dismayed as she is when his trip is cut short by his uncle's death, she's very glad to see him again.

Though it looks like Zander's uncle Frank died of a heart attack, the autopsy reveals that Frank Pierce was not the man everyone thought he was. Confused and determined to uncover the real identity of the man who took him in when he needed him most, Zander sets off on a quest to backtrack his uncle's life. Of course Britt is by his side every step of the way, and though his time away was almost entirely for the purpose of distancing himself from her, he's found it just makes it harder for him to keep his feelings hidden.

A strong element of suspense comes into play when it looks like Frank's past may have involved one of the most famous unsolved crimes in Washington State's history. Zander is driven to know the truth, while trying to protect Britt and his family from any former criminal cohorts who may also be closing in. Meanwhile Britt is beginning to look at Zander a little differently. He's always been one of the most special people in her life, and she's starting to realize how rare that is. She doesn't want to risk their longstanding friendship by doing anything stupid like falling in love with him, but with the way things have suddenly grown a bit awkward it may be too late to salvage what they once shared so effortlessly.

I quite enjoyed this book. I will say that at some points Britt makes some really stubborn decisions which I did not like, but thankfully they did not harm her too much. The thing that really made the book soar was the spiritual journeys of each of the characters. Zander feels like his unanswered prayers and constantly disappointed hopes where Britt is concerned have made him lose sight of God's vast and personal care of him. For Britt's part, she has tried so hard for so long to establish her self-reliance and not have to depend on anyone, not even God. Maybe not even when He's the only one who can help her. Independence can lead to its own form of slavery when it involves not letting anyone close. The walls and the distance in their hearts must be overcome before anything more could truly develop in their relationship.

The Bradford Sisters Romance series comes to an exciting conclusion that no Becky Wade fans will want to miss.

Phenomenal! I'd rate this book 10 stars if I could. The relationship between Xander and Britt was so fun. A friends-to-something-more trope can be tricky to pull off, and Becky Wade handled it with her trademark wit, humor, unique setting and swoon-worthy romantic scenes. I enjoyed the art heist subplot, regular appearances by familiar characters from previous books in this series, and most importantly, the incredible character journey of both Britt and Xander. Their spiritual struggles felt very applicable to real life. Wade plumbed the depths of their internal conflict to create an amazing experience for readers. I laughed and cried and felt incredibly emotional over the resolution of a series about fictional characters. To me, that's the mark of great writing, when I finish the last page with a satisfied sigh and a twinge of bittersweet regret that it's over. Well done, Becky Wade!

Britt is the youngest of the Bradford sister’s. She is strong and very independent, not wanting to rely on others. Some may even call her a little to independent.
Zander is a smart and lovable man. Always caring for and helping others, especially is best friend Britt.
I absolutely Loved Britt and Zander’s story. Watching and waiting to see if they could transition from best friends to more.
I love that element of suspense that was woven into this story. Always kept me coming back and wanting to find out what happens. There was many sweet, loving and touching moments also. Moments that had me laughing and smiling like crazy and even heart melting moments that had me swooning.
There were a couple of parts that touched me personally and reminded me of God’s unconditional love and forgiveness. I Love how Becky Wade is able to wrap so much into her stories, to make you feel some many different emotions, yet still include life lessons or reminders along the way. This was a wonderful book, that I greatly loved. I have enjoyed this series along the way and will miss them all. I definitely plan on revisiting them and Merryweather!!

My Favorite Character/s: Zander! He's a writer, (that's kind of a duh moment for me... :D). And Britt! She makes chocolate, what better pair then a writer and a chocolateier? It's the kind of a match made in chocolatey stories. I'm writing really stupid descriptions, aren't I? Yeah, yeah, yeah, back to Zander, he's a great guy; his care and love for Britt is soooooooooooooooo sweet! I do wish I had the ability to write as much as he does though. He's the perfect fictional writer from a hard start in life.

My Thoughts: The cover is so pretty, if a bit sappy for my tastes but look at the beautiful colors and that dress so pretty! And the pages hidden under that cover are even better, I love the opening scene and I loved the whole book up until the last word, always . . . I love this book so much and I badly want to get my hands on a paperback, which is not something I want to do often for a romance because though I love a good romance I couldn't care less if it's Kindle or paperback unless I love the book! And I do soooooooooooooooooooooooo much, this book is soooooooooooooo good and I'm sure you're done with me saying soooooooooo soooooooooo much so I'm done with my review.

Sweet on You is the third book in the Bradford Sister series. I have been wanting to read Brit's story since the first book. Each of the sisters have different talents. Brit's talent is candy making. Brit's best childhood friend is Zander. Zander has been in love with Brit since they were young teens. Everyone knows Zander is crazy in love with her even though he has not admitted it. Everyone sees it except Brit. I loved Zander from the get go. He was so protective of her. He's been gone for a few months promoting his book overseas but really he just wanted to get away from the pain of seeing the girl he loved date other people. He only returns to the states because of the death of his uncle. I loved this stories of best friends falling in love and this one fits the bill. Another reason I liked this story was the mystery surrounding his uncle. His uncle has a hidden past that even his wife was not aware of. I loved the conclusion of this story and the series. It was also good to catch up on the other sisters and their significant others. Sweet on You is due to be released on April 30, 2019. I am sad that this is the last Bradford sister romance. I have immensely enjoyed reading Nora, Willow, and now Britt's story. I love the relationship between these sisters, and how they truly love each other. 

Britt's story made me want all the sweets. She makes chocolate for a living, yum! I also liked how this book decided to tackle the challenge of long-term friends becoming more than friends. I think that Wade did a great job of showing how the friendship emotions could get in the way of romantic feelings because of the desire to not lose this great relationship. 

This story is also heavy on the mystery. I did enjoy this aspect, but I did feel like the ending detracted a bit from the overall love story because there was such a focus on the mystery that I felt the love getting a bit lost. However, I still really enjoyed both aspects of this book.

I knew going into this one that I was going to love it. I'd loved Nora and John's story (True To You), I'd loved Willow and Corbin's story (Falling For You), I'd adored the two novellas, and I loved all the glimpses we were given of both Britt and Zander in the previous books. I couldn't wait to dive into this one, and it ended up being everything I was hoping for and more.

Britt and Zander's story is a little different from the previous books in the series in that it's a best friends romance. Britt and Zander have been best friends since high school, only Zander has been carrying a torch for Britt the entire time. Britt's friends have long insisted that Zander has feelings for her, but she always shoots them down, as she doesn't want to end up losing one of the most important people in her life. At the start of Sweet on You, Zander's returning from his globe trotting journey after the life altering news that his uncle Frank who basically raised him has suddenly passed away. Zander's intense feelings for Britt were one of the main reasons he left in the first place, and they haven't changed in the time he's been away. Returning home to help his aunt means seeing Britt again, and he's quickly realizing that being around her as a friend gets harder and harder each time. When the investigation into his uncle's death brings unknown parts of his life to light, Zander and Britt set out to reveal the story once and for all. Along the way they'll have to confront the feelings that have been long building between the two of them, and keep themselves out of the dangerous can of worms they may have just opened about Frank's life before he met and married his wife.

I know to expect great things when I pick up a Becky Wade book, and Sweet on You is another reminder as to why she's one of my favorite authors. The romance is swoon worthy, the lead characters are both realistic and quirky, the writing is beautiful and addictive, the mystery keeps you on the edge of your seat, and there is just enough bits of comedic relief thrown in to keep the story completely entertaining. I love Christian romances to begin with, and this is one of the very best by one of the very best. It's stinking adorable from start to finish, and a perfect wrap up to the Bradford Sisters. If you're a fan of romance, romantic suspense, or swoon worthy book boyfriends, then definitely give this one a go.

I love the authentic way that the faith element is always written into Becky Wade's novels, and Britt and Zander learning to let go, and let God was one of the most heartwarming parts of the story.

I'm happy to say that Sweet on You was one of my most anticipated releases for this year, and it lived up to every single one of my expectations. It gets a perfect five star rating from me, and I would re-read it in a heartbeat!
