I go to Kaylea Cross for my romantic suspense needs. I have yet to find a book I didn't like. Shattered Vows is well written with the right amount of romance, action, and suspense. I would recommend the book to romance enthusiast.

This is my second book by this author and I enjoyed it very much. I didn't know the story of Carter, since I haven't read book 1 in the series, so I was surprised when I realized that he was suffering from TBI. I do wish that his struggle with TBI didn't lead to him becoming the villain in his relationship. I think the only reason why I struggled a bit in the beginning was because I read this book right after reading Buried Lies, which I adored. So I think I should have waited a bit.

All in all I did enjoy seeing Jase and Molly get their happy ending, and I loved seeing how they solved the situation that Carter put her through. I will definitely be continuing with this series.

I am loving this series and each book seems to get better and better. The author does an amazing job of allowing the reader to really feel like they know these wonderful characters. Both Molly and Jase are broken and their circumstances behind their connection is heartbreaking. I enjoyed the story and how it perfectly unfolds, strengthening the connection between all of the characters, and laying the foundation for the next book in the series. Can't wait to read the next one!

What a fascinating book. I was impressed by the storyline and the characters were all well written and complex. Where there are complex storylines combined with intriguing characters the reader experience is magnified tremendously. To have a book that is well written as well as entertaining is a delight. Reading is about escaping your world and entering another one. The word building was phenomenal in this book. Here I forgot about my own life and was immersed in the world created by the author. I would recommend this

The 3rd story in the Crimson Point series and pub. in Jan. 2019, Kaylea Cross proves that great stories never go out of style. Jase and Molly's story is one such story. Having feelings for Molly for many years, Jase steps in to help her after his best friend and Molly's husband dies. But, unknown to them, Carter left lots of baggage that is coming for Molly. The drama, suspense and twists are there, but the feelings between Jase and Molly that leads to their HEA are what makes their story a page turner. **I was gifted "Shattered Vows" and leave my review based on my reading** 4.5 Stars!
(Many of my books have been lost for a long time and I am working to get back as many of them as possible.
I apologize to Kaylea Cross for not getting my review in when it was released)

Jase would absolutely do anything to ensure Molly’s life was free of the chaos that she dealt with since her husband’s death. Keeping her safe would be something that would finally let him confess the feelings he had kept hidden for years. Spending time with her would drive him out of his mind but each moment brought him the peace he needed. Love this series.

Tragedy turned the man she loved into her greatest threat, unraveling Molly Boyd’s entire world and her feelings for his best friend aren’t helping matters. For years, Jase has been a solid, steady source of comfort and friendship, but now she can’t stop seeing him as something more. He’s expert at unrequited love as years ago, Jae Weaver stood by and watched his best friend marry the woman of his dreams and he’s endured and suffered in silence ever since. But since stepping in to make her safe, Jase can’t stay silent any longer.

An emotionally turbulent read that has readers experiencing a whole range of emotions tied to a second chance romance. The characters are strong, captivating and readers can’t help but fall for them and their situation as Molly and Jase to deal with their attraction. Molly’s not sure she can open her heart again after the devastation of what happened and Jase isn’t sure that he can survive remaining close to her if she can’t which keeps emotions running high throughout this heart rending romance.

The fast paced plot takes the suspense of this romance even further as it adds adrenaline pumping, hair raising danger from someone who believes that Molly is responsible for her ex-husbands debts, pulling Jase and his friends together in order to protect her. Some surprising twists keeps reader on their toes and ensures that readers can’t put the story down until they have read every last word of this captivating romance.

SHATTERED VOWS is book three in the Crimson Point series. It's a standalone so feel free to jump in here if you haven't read the first few books!

Molly Boyd was in the middle of a divorce from her husband, Carter, when he died suddenly. Now, she's a pregnant widow in the small town of Crimson Point. But she has good friends and she also has Jase Weaver, Carter's best friend. Jase has been quietly in love with Molly for years, even before her and Carter got married. But he stood by his best friend and now he'll stand by Molly as she navigates motherhood. But when a threat from Carter's past puts Molly in danger, Jase will do whatever he needs to protect her.

There's a suspenseful element that spices up the plot but more than that, this is a really sweet love story. I actually haven't read the first two books (hangs head in shame) so if Molly, Jase and Carter were mentioned before, I'm not sure. All I know is in this book, I loved Jase and Molly together regardless of whether or not it would be considered "forbidden" to be in a relationship with your best friend's ex-wife. Molly was great, she was smart and tough, she was loyal and sassy. But for me, Jase made the whole book. Oh, Jase! I may have she'd a few tears for him and his unrequited feelings for Molly. He was a super sweet teddy bear wrapped in a hot guy's body! Jase truly did everything he could to take care of Molly and her baby...SWOON!

Overall, this one was a slow burn romance between a hot ex soldier and a strong, single pregnant widow. Expect a sweet, sexy story with just enough tension to keep you on the edge. Told from various POVs with a delightfully happy ever after. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book.

I was really looking forward to reading this book after I finished the previous story (Buried Lies) as it led into this one pretty neatly. Molly was a very sympathetic character as her estranged husband who suffered from a severe case of PTSD committed suicide right after she found out she was pregnant. Now she is alone and uncertain of where to go from here. Enter Jase who has loved Molly from afar as he was friends/a comrade of her husband and failed miserably on the "thou shall not covet thy neighbor's wife" commandment because he very clearly adored Molly. I like that he was determined to be there for her but not push her --- had he done that, I think she would have pushed him away. Their chemistry was great! The only thing I didn't like as much was what I felt was some unnecessary angst on Molly's end --- she has known Jase for a VERY long time, so the trust piece should have been there a little sooner, but they got there in the end which is what matters most.

Romantic suspense and Kaylea Cross go hand in hand and her Crimson Point Series is no exception as she creates amazing characters of courage and bravery, second chances and redemption.

Book three in her series, “Shattered Vows”, throws Jase Weaver in a loop as the love of his life, Molly Boyd was abused by her ex-husband and circumstances land her widowed and pregnant and with a target on her back. Once his best friend and comrade, Jase will trade his life for Molly at any cost and will protect her until his last breath. As the threat intensifies, Jase brings Molly into his protective fold, sparking the dormant attraction. As passion flares so does the danger around them!

A master of suspense and intense stories, Kaylea Cross will not leave her readers disappointed as she pens another electrifying story and characters.

The main characters of this book Molly and Jase are tie together with a common link, Molly's husband and Jase's best friend. They both are grieving for his loss but what Molly does not know is Jase also grieves for her pain. He has been secretly in love with her but has never been able to tell. This story is about his longing, about how hard he tries to stay afar and how impossible that is. The characters in this book are well developed. I instantly started rooting for Jase. The book is worth reading. I recommend this book to all the romance readers. I received an ARC of this book from Netgalley in exchange of my honest and unbiased review.

As per usual this story was well crafted, the characters were strong and believable. I enjoyed the suspense and fell in love with Jase immediately and completely. Molly did disappoint me a couple of times but overall this was a very good book and I will look for others in a series.

Jase and Molly's story was good. Having read the previous two books in this series, I had been waiting for their story. There was not as much suspense as with the other two. This one was more about their coming together. Jase has held a torch for Molly since he first met her and she chose his best friend Carter. He has been there for her every step of the way. Now that tragedy struck and she is a pregnant widow could he possibly have her truly see him the way he wants it would it be best to move on?

This is a second book that I read from the series and I must say that I didn't enjoy it like I did the previous. It didn't come even close for me to love it. Jase is in love with his best friend wife. After a tragic death, Jase can't keep his feelings in check anymore. Molly is after divorce and tragic death of his ex-husband left alone and pregnant. Her strength is her friends, especially Jase. And suddenly she is starting to feel things for Jase that she didn't before and after kiss they share they keep distance. That fall really hard on both of them especially because Molly's life is in danger because of her late husband debt. For me, the story is just a little bit dark and depressing half of it is about mourning from both Jase and Molly, then there is a lot of Jase yearning for Molly. And when the things go better another tragedy happens. I didn't feel any connection with both of them, but I was happy for their HEA. The author has already introduced us to new future couple and ii hope that it will be great to read.

Shattered Vows by Kaylea Cross was an emotional and touching second chance romance. The characters had a great connection, but so much history. Their journey was not an easy one, but their love was strong.

Totally enjoyed this book. It was so well written with such an engaging story I didn’t want to put it down. I loved how strong Jase & Molly were. Their story was difficult because of the tragedy surrounding it, Molly’s ex-husband & Jases’s best friend put a pregnant Molly in serious danger with the Russian mafia, causing his friends & former soldiers to take care of her. The drama & angst are at high levels but I found myself laughing through parts of the story with the authors great sense of humour. There was also a high level of chemistry between Jase & Molly that kept me reading. As usual when I find a great book & it’s in a series I end up reading my first book of the series 2 or 3 books in as I did with this book 3 of the series. Thankfully I wasn’t lost at all & I’ve already bought the 1st 2 books to read. Definitely recommend.

Advanced Reader Copy (ARC) provided by the Author and Publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an fair and honest review.

This is Molly and Jase's story. Having read the series from the first book, this was an inevitable pair up. I don't have a problem with the "She's my best friend's . . . in this case it's ex/widow" genre. I always root for true love. My problem is how this series treated Carter, a vet with a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). Carter had a complete personality change after his TBI and it was clear that he could be dangerous. Still . . . I just was disappointed that Cross turned him into a bad guy and then killed him.

Molly Boyd was living a nightmare and then it got worse. After Carter's truck went off a cliff and he died, Molly discovers she is pregnant. Now a really nasty guy tells her that Carter owes him $120,000 for gambling debts. Oh, his best friend, Jace, is acting strange on top of it all, not to mention that Molly is feeling differently about Jace too.

Jase Weaver has loved Molly from the moment he first saw her. But, she choose his best friend and he had to be content to wish them every happiness. He knew he would be there for her, always. When Carter died, he was her rock and it just about killed him being so close and wanting so much more. But, the road to true love is really, really complicated and can be rocky and hard, especially when someone is threatening her.
