This is an excellent read that revolves around Thea who’s grandfather has died and she inherits his Scottish title of Countess of Eanruig but now must defend her right to the title after his heir challenges her right to it. She needs to find a legal paper showing she is entitled to inherit but due to her grandfather’s dementia he has hidden or destroyed the document. In her quest to find the paper she meets William and the attraction is one they both deny but later come to realize they have strong feelings for each other. There is a HEA but a lot happens first and it is an excellent story that is well written and suspenseful. I would highly recommend this as a great read.

The Rogue Most Wanted demonstrates that Janna MacGregor belongs in the same category as Julia Quinn, Stephanie Laurens, and Eloisa James.
Lady Thea recently inherited a Scottish earldom when her grandfather, the Duke of Ferr-Colby, passes away (Scottish titles can be passed to female heirs). Her grandfather’s English heir is challenging her possession of the title. He wants the property so it can be mined for minerals. Lady Thea is desperate to find proof that she is the rightful heir. Lord William, a neighbor, agrees to help Thea plead her case and navigate the ton while she is in London. After having been jilted, William intends to keep his distance but that isn’t as easy as he anticipates.
MacGregor weaves a satisfying tale of love, loyalty, family, and perseverance. If historical romances are your thing, this is a good one.

After the death of her grandfather, Theodora Worth is fighting to keep her home and title as the new duke is fighting her claim.. Thea must find the
charter her grandfather had hidden which proves she is Lady Eanruig.
Lord William Cavensham’s aunt tricked him but as soon as he meets Thea he decides to help her. Neither Thea or Will want marriage, but agree to friendship.
Their growing attraction/love is greatly tested. This is an enjoyable read.
I received an advanced reader copy from the publisher. All opinions are my own.

What a captivating story. I really enjoyed the storyline and the characters were well written. I felt how the characters felt and couldn’t put this one down I had to find out how it end. I can’t wait to read more forum this author

This was a good book. I liked at the beginning how Thea knew what she had to do and stuck to it. Didn't like how later in the book she became indecisive. Makes her seem wishy-washy. Wanted to see the strong Thea throughout the book. I liked that the whole family was involved and stuck together throughout the entire book.

Thea is a countess. She was raised by her Grandfather. He became ill and she cared for him as well as his estates, for seven years before his death.
Now she is being challenged by a man who inherited the entailed properties and the title of duke. The paperwork to prove she is the heir to Ladykyrk and is a countess has been misplaced.
The man who wants all the property has also started a campaign in a newspaper accusing Thea of having murdered her Grandfather. As well as behaving like a slut with her servants on a regular basis. Her reputation is in tatters.
Will Cavensham is a second son to a duke. His family is close knit, loving and caring. His god-mother has property next to Ladykyrk and she has become a friend to Thea.
She believes that Will can help Thea solve her problems. In fact, the entire Cavensham family becomes involved in helping Thea. She must learn how to move in society in London, how to present her case to the committee which will decide her fate and how to deal with people in general. Because she has led such an isolated life, there are many things which she never had the opportunity to learn.
Ms MacGregor is continuing the story of the Cavensham family. This is the most recent story in a series which has been built on stories of charming characters, budding relationships, tender love and strong family love.
Although this is the most recent entry in a series, the book works well as a stand alone. Past characters and relationships are explained. When we meet people from past books, all of them are fully explained.
Thea is a strong and powerful woman. She dealt with her grandfather's illness and continued to manage two large estates and cared for all the tenants.
There is one scene in the book which made me confused as well as disappointed. Thea is introduced to strangers and acts completely out of character. I did not understand the purpose of the entire scene nor did I feel it added anything to the story. There would have been better ways to introduce the new characters.
Will is almost a perfect man. He was jilted when he was very young and it hurt hims so much that he has immersed himself in managing accounting and some estate work for both his father the duke and his brother who will inherit the title. He is devoted to his family. He has substituted their lives for having one of his own.
I enjoyed this book very much.
Ms MacGregor has never disappointed me. She writes character driven stories which are populated by people who would make interesting friends.
I hope there will be another chapter in this series.
I received this book from the publisher through NetGalley. I am voluntarily writing this review and all opinions are completely my own.

This is the second book I’ve read by Janna MacGregor, and overall I really liked it. Will is a kind and passionate hero. Thea is resilient and a little unconventional. I love how the Cavenshams rally behind each other when they need help and also how open they are with their love. I felt a couple parts dragged a little, but overall it was a great story.

ARC KINDLY PROVIDED BY NETGALLEY FOR HONEST REVIEW!!
Rogue Most Wanted is a unique story with the title of Earl being inherited by a female. Countess Theodora/Thea Worth has inherited an ancient Scottish title Earl of Eanruig from her deceased grandfather the Duke Ferr-Colby. She is also, inherits her home were she lived with her grandfather Ladykyrk Hall and its estates an total of 100,00 pounds. Thea is rich indeed! But the new Duke a distant cousin has challenge the legitimacy of her claim because she is a female. Females could inherit titles in Scotland but not in England. Thea can't locate the title charter from King Charles granting the title able to pass down to a female heir. She must go before a council in London and plea her case.
Lord William/Will Cavesham 2nd son of the Duke of Langham was jilted at age 19 now 10 years later he is being summon by his Great Aunt Lady Stella Payne. Lady Payne and her best friend Lady Edith has told Will he will marry Thea to help her save her Earldom. I liked these two old bitties. They are kindhearted busybodies.
Once Will and Thea meet they form a great friendship. Both agree at first they should not marry. They work together they stick together to fight the new Duke of Ferr-Colby. Wills entire family supports and accepts Thea. The friendship grows into love.
This is a well written story and it is different in that the title holder or peer is female. Both H/H are loveable well written characters. The entire storyline is what I love about real Historical Romance. It also, had a few sensual scenes at the end of the story giving it that extra something. I love reading about powerful, rich Dukes and there heirs. This story does not let you down. I really didn't want it to end!!

Rogue Most Wanted is everything I love about historical romances. It took me back to times I will never have the chance of experiencing, it brings out problems that faced relationships in past history, and it introduces readers to a couple who clearly belong together despite circumstances that keep them apart. This book has it all PLUS emotion and I know it's going to be a hit this summer.

What a wonderful story! Why must our youthful life follow us into adulthood? Jilted once, can he ever recover? How does she hold on to her inheritance in a time where men were supreme? This was a lovely historic novel that I was thrilled to read.

I definitely enjoyed the other books in the series more than this one. While I understand the importance of Lady Theodora Worth's beloved home and her care for the tenants, I always felt Lord Wiliam Cavensham came second. She could never get over the guilt of her Grandfather not remembering her and feeling like she lost his love at the end of his life. Will bore the brunt and, if not for the stroke of luck, would not gotten a happy ever after. I like when both the hero and heroine fight for each other.

Good story and good premise, but I felt that some editing was needed. I loved the overall passion and love these characters all felt for each other, but I think that the author extended things a bit too long. Some of the dialogue Thea had with herself was a little redundant and Will was drawn to her from almost the start and should have recognized his feelings sooner. The subplot about the charter almost seemed like an afterthought. And the title was a little misleading as Will didn’t seem to be a rogue at all!

I think we have already established that I really like Janna MacGregor, she creates such charming stories and I truly look forward to each of them! A wonderful author indeed.
Rogue Most Wanted is a lovely story, and I definitely enjoyed reading it, I also cried, and had some palpitations...which show me that I was deeply absorbed by the reading.
However, what I didn't particularly enjoyed is, primarily the constant interference of Aunt Stella; it was cute and funny at the beginning, but at times I just wanted to tell her to please shut up. Secondly, although I understand that Theodora's loneliness might have led to get quickly attached to strangers who show kindness and support (the stranger being Will), I thought it a bit unauthentic that she would pour out all her most personal feelings and open up so much to someone she barely knows, regardless of the instant bond they might have felt. And his reactions were also a bit over the top at times.
That said, I really want to recognise and highlight the author's style and, also if this is not one of my favourite among the one she created, it still managed to catch all my attention and to emotionally captivate me!

📚📚📚📚📚
I didn't like the hero, I gave him an opportunity to prove me wrong anyway but since the very beginning I found that the way he talked about womens (not related to him) was problematic. He had a relationship with a woman 10 years ago and she broke his heart and he was so resentful towards her. Yes, a woman broke your heart but to think "I'll never fall in love again" because of it and say that you're not interested in women's (you can't have a woman friend?) , the subtext is that he thinks "all women are evil" because 1! broke his heart, that's extremely misogynist.
And I didn't like the relationship that he had with the heroine. He was kind and nice to her but it was instalove for me, in like 20 pages he went from "I'm not going to marry her" to "I can't stop thinking about her, I want to help her, maybe marriage is a good idea".
And "The EVIL ex girlfriend" is a trope that I hate so I didn't enjoy to say the least.
To sum up, the heroine was ok but I disliked the hero, and I'm not a fan of the evil ex girlfriend. At least I liked the secondary character's, Will's aunt was amazing.

Lord William Cavensham is anti-marriage after being jilted by a childhood friend, having had no idea she was already committed to someone else.
Lady Theodora Worth cared for her grandfather, who had dementia for seven long years. Upon his death, her cousin decided that what he inherited was not enough, and came after her inheritance with a vengeance.
Thea went to a close neighbor, Lady Stella Payne for help and Lady Stella along with Lady Edith came up with a plan. Their plan involve a recalcitrant nephew, William Cavensham.
Traveling to London to make her case, she became close to his family and adored them all...and it was mutual. He wanted to find her a husband...but didn't want her to be with anyone else. She adored him, but didn't want to trap him...even though the pair had become steamily intimate.
Her time in London is lively and they eventually overcome great odds in her quest for her estate.
Ms. MacGregor writes a lovely tale, with a bit of mystery, the missing document, a difficult relationship, and the interaction of a close loving family. Add a villainous character, the cousin, and it's hard to put down.
I received a NetGalley ARC to peruse to my delight and recommend this tale if you love historicals.

Thank you Netgalley for providing this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This was a decent historical romance by this author. I was invited to review an Advance copy. Thea is forced to find a husband after a relative challenges her title. A friend introduced her to Will who fights his great aunts plans to marry him off. He meets her and is charmed by her innocent and bubbly personality. She in turn is charmed by his generous and kind persona. The story picks up later in the story and both join forces to help Thea keep her tittle.. Enjoyed it.

It was clear from the beginning of this book that the two characters were in love. The only problem was that the characters were refusing to admit it to themselves. Then once they finally do, there's a twist. I liked how parts of what kept them apart wasn't just their stubbornness. I also really liked how Thea is a Countess by her own right, no husband required. I also loved how they allowed their friendship to grow for a while.

Thea and William’s story is interesting as she is fighting to retain her Scottish title and lands through a female allowed succession. I was a bit confused at the beginning because it seemed like everyone had the same last name but as I progressed into the story, things became clear. Thea was an isolated child-raised by her grandfather. When he became senile, she protected him from people finding out. And then, after his death, she continued to run his estate very successfully. But she has never been part of a family or had friends. Enter William, the second son, whose great aunt wants to set him up with Thea. He has locked off his heart to love after being jilted at the age of 19. Theirs is a sweet love story as they fight to retain her lands. Enjoyable read.

LOVED this book! It drew me in from the very first page and kept me hooked until the very last page - I was actually sorry when it ended. This is one of those books that you can't wait to see what happens next, but don't want it to end. I am not a big historical romance fan, but this author's books are on a short list of exceptions. She writes well crafted characters that seem to come alive on the page. Then she puts them in an untenable situation, further restricted by the unwritten rules governing the ton.
Thea finds herself alone on her late grandfather's estate. She spent years caring for him and fulfilling his obligations, however, once he passes, a long lost relative stages a challenge to take her title and estate. She finds herself at the mercy of men and English law governing the inheritance of title, in direct conflict with Scottish law allowing women to inherit. One thing that could help her is to be married, so her elderly neighbor contrives to set her up with her great nephew, Will. Neither Will or Thea have any interest in marrying, but circumstances keep throwing them together, even while the challenger to her title amps up his nastiness.
This is a wonderful book that any romance fan will love. While it is part of a series, this is a stand alone novel, however, the series is so good that you really owe to yourself to read them all. The author is on my must read authors' list.

This novel was an enjoyable read, with a strong and determined female lead. Lady Theodora Worth is fighting for her beloved home of Ladykyrk and her title as Countess. The new duke of Ferr-Colby is fighting her claim. Thea needs to find the charter that proves she is Lady Eanruig and protect the tenants. She needs help though and who better to help than Lord William Cavensham. Will believed he fell is love with a woman who ended up marrying someone else. This left him heartbroken and he hardened his heart to protect himself. However, good old Aunt Stella has other ideas for Will, which means putting him in Thea’s path. Neither Thea nor Will want marriage, but agree to to friendship and to help each other. Will is a good man, intelligent, helpful, and loves his family. Will begins to grow jealous of Thea spending time with other men, realizing he wants to be the man for her. Thea falls in love with Will, but she needs to put her tenants first. With those out to destroy their reputations and Thea's claim, their love will be tested greatly and sacrifices will be made to protect the ones they love.
