A MUST for your TBR list! Fast-paced! Riveting! Exciting! Addictive! Chilling! Not only is this a very well-written book with wonderfully-interesting characters, but the suspense builds at just the right pace as the story unfolds. It was an artful melding of twisted thrills and heart-pounding action that kept me hanging on every word the whole way!

*I received a complimentary ARC of this book in order to read and provide a voluntary, unbiased and honest review, should I choose to do so.

A tense fast paced domestic thriller that leaves you wondering about Holly’s sanity. Thanks for the opportunity to read

A great read, could be improved with a few tweaks in the story but over all it was a great simple storyline easy to follow.

This book starts off slowly and surely.... and then it packs a punch that leaves the reader thrilled until the end. I have only just discovered Jo Crow's books, and can't wait to pack them all in! Recommended.

This book is about a new couple who just bought their dream house in a suburban neighborhood, and are expecting their first baby. The neighbors all come around welcoming them to the neighborhood, and one of them announces that they live next to a sex offender. After that, weird stuff starts happening, and Holly feels as if she is being stalked.
I was just kind of bored with this book, saw a lot of twists happening, and not super impressed with the writing style either. Maybe I'm just burnt out on thrillers.

This was quite the thrilling story! Once twist and turn after another made it difficult to stop reading once I started! There were many twists and turns. I recommend this to anyone who enjoys a good thriller!

Holly is a new mom, in a new house, in a totally new neighborhood, having recently moved from downtown Chicago to the suburbs. At first everything is wonderful. Her neighbors seem friendly, her husband is helping out with the new baby and her new home is fabulous. But little by little, odd things start happening, and eventually she realizes that it isn't all in her head.

This was an interesting and gripping read which took some unexpected turns. I enjoyed this well written suspense novel and absolutely recommend it.

Thank you to Netgalley, the author Jo Crow, and the publisher Relay Publishing for the opportunity to read an ARC of this very enjoyable book.

This was my first time reading a book from NetGalley – FREE of charge – so thank you for that! I liked the short chapters in Jo Crow‘s The Perfect Neighborhood. It made me want to keep clicking forward to the next chapter. The story unfolds quickly. One moment I was experiencing what seemed like normal family life, the next I was confronted with dead bodies.

The author tries to create suspense by making it clear that there’s something the main character is not yet revealing. Holly has had a drastic career change, and I found the reason for this quite predictable.

I found the main character annoying at times, although a little voice in my head was trying to convince me that she was doing her best considering the circumstances. She’s a doctor, an educated woman, yet she’s very slow to figure out what’s happening in her personal life. Perhaps she’s just reluctant to admit what she already knows. Some of her actions made me frown more than once.

As mentioned, nobody believes Holly when things start going wrong, which is a storyline often explored and one that never ceases to annoy. Because of this, she decides to do some investigating herself. The consequences are disastrous.

Other characters like her husband and neigbours had supporting roles, but The Perfect Neighborhood centres around Holly.

To sum up
I liked how quickly the story progressed. I did not love the attempt at suspense building and I’m on the fence about my feelings towards the protagonist’s actions. This book is not bad, but because I’ve read so many great crime fiction novels, this one only gets 3 out of 5 stars from me.

When someone is messing with your life, you fight with everything you have. Holy has a perfect life, moved into a perfect neighborhood, but in the end, not everything is so perfect.

This was a great read with a fascinating plotline. "The Perfect Neighborhood" was my first book by Jo Crow and I am interested to read the first two books in the 'Secrets of Suburbia' series - 'A Mother's Lie' and 'Found Child'.

This story was developed well and it was nicely paced, with many twists and turns throughout. I was very excited to see how it all ended.

I received a complimentary digital copy of this novel, at my own request, from Relay Publishing via NetGalley. This review is my own unbiased opinion.

I received an ARC of this book in return for an honest review.

This is a real page turner and leaves you guessing. A young couple moves into what they believe to be the perfect neighborhood. It goes downhill from there. It was a bit long, but that wasn't a major issue. A good psychological, crime thriller.

A solid thriller. While the twist was fairly predictable, I really enjoyed the journey to get there. The plot was fun, the characters were interesting, and I will definitely keep an eye out for more Jo Crow books.
