I loved this book! I love how much the main character was interesting and pulls you in. I also really enjoyed her motive for some of her killings and her "love" for her partner. Her partner, Tim...let's just say, I can see why they were together. He's very quiet, keeps to himself, and in several parts of the book, gives me killer vibes. The book was very well written and kept me on the edge of seat. Definitely a well-written page turner!

A quick and perfect page-turning thriller. Not having read the prequel, I was concerned I may be missing key details in becoming engaged in The Killing Girl, but boy was I wrong. This one will have you on the edge of your seat dying (no pun intended) to find out the next psychotic moves of the alarmingly “normal” murderous tendencies of Susannah and her awkward husband,Tim, that you feel both sorry for and creeped out by at the same time. Would definitely recommend this as a great weekend read.

A superb suspense/thriller that does hook you right in!

Heading to Chicago, Susannah Eckels (the nation's most heinous female serial killer) is on the run from her most recent kill - a Sheriff's Deputy in Iowa. A Chef by trade, Susannah finds work (in exchange for food) in a food pantry where she meets the (very) clingy Devin. Devin does get her hooked up in a rent-free situation, as Susannah is strapped for cash.
Susannah cannot decide if she will kill or embrace her husband, Timothy, when she sees/finds him. Most importantly, she needs to keep away from the press and police who all are looking for her (and her collection of skin tattoos).

Timothy is a mild-mannered Funeral Home Director who has had his own share of problems. After the police find Susannah's "trophies", they find it almost unbelievable that Tim had nothing to do with (or even know about) what Susannah has been up to. This scares Tim. He sells the house for a song and moves to Key West where he becomes infatuated with Marilyn, the owner of the pie shop. Then he buys the cottage next to her place.

Things go downhill in Chicago for Susannah. Her only quest becomes to FIND TIMOTHY. She gets a tip from someone and drives to Florida.

It seems as if Timothy is not missing Susannah all that much. He has Marilyn and her daughter next door and his little kitten, Maisie. You see, Tim still is running away from the danger of his wife. Their life together was a lie that he wants to forget.

Amazing twists and suspense in this fantastic read!!! I Highly recommend!

Many thanks to the Publisher and NetGalley for a wonderful ride!

The Killing Girl brings the sequel to The Quiet Type by Summer Prescott in a psychological thriller told from the perspective of a serial killer. It is creepy and gruesome but a page turner.
Tim is an unassuming mortician who is married to Susannah, a brilliant chef with a dark hobby.
The Killing Girl starts off with Susannah killing a deputy to run for her freedom and find Tim, the only person who has every loved her in a way. But Tim who had no idea of the cruelties of his wife, is convinced she will come for him next, and he may very well be right. The story oscillated between their perspectives in their own adventures. Susannah on a mission to get Tim, either dead or alive; and Tim on a mission to save himself and leave it all behind.
Even though i wanted to know what happens next, i had a hard time getting into the story. The characters were not very relatable and the mystery wasn't much of a mystery.
My rating : 3/5

This is a fast paced book that will keep on you the edge of your seat. For those of you who don't mind graphic details, this one is for you. I requested this however these kinds of books with this type of detail is not my cup of tea. Giving five stars due to the quality of the writing.

I did enjoy the book. From the beginning, I was hooked. Then it just left me hanging on a cliff hanger. I don't know if it was a series or what. Kinda ruined the story as it ended.

The Killing Girl hooked me in the very first paragraph, engulfing me in the world of a serial killer on the run after escaping jail.

The Killing Game alternates points of view from Savannah, the woman hungry for blood and her husband who, up until recently, had no idea he was married to a blood thirst villain.

This book was written in a way that you starting rooting for Savannah and kind of worries about Tom’s mental state.

I started The Killing Game this morning and did not want to put it down. Sadly work and kids got away but I was able to finish this amazing piece in a day!

Bravo!!

This book was great and thoroughly engrossing, but it ended so suddenly that I can’t honestly tell what my opinion is! I’d love to know what happened to the diabolical Susannah and mild-mannered and awkward Tim. The end information of the book mentioned a prequel, but no information on a sequel. This left me in such suspense that I don’t even know what to do with it! This author is definitely good and knows how to engage a reader. I just need more information!

The Killing Girl is a page turning thriller about Susannah a serial killer on the hunt for her husband. Her Husband Tim, is a quiet mortician who has no idea that his wife was a serial killer and is now on the run, a fugitive from his serial killing wife who will stop at nothing to find him.

The story is told in alternating perspectives between Susannah and Tim which adds to the complexity of the plot. Susannah does not let anyone or anything stop her from finding her husband killing anyone on the way.

The characters are so multi-dimensional it is as if you are in their heads. Dare I say I was rooting for the serial killer because this book is THAT good! This psychological thriller will leave you on the edge of your seat flipping pages as fast as possible.

Many readers know Summer Prescott for her fantastic cozy mysteries. This is a psychological thriller that is so well done. It takes a very talented author to be able to cross genres and do it THIS WELL. I highly recommend this book to anyone that loves thrillers and stories about serial killers. You don't want to miss this one! Trust me!!!!!

Tim is a mortician, a quiet unassuming man. He's married to Susannah, a classically trained chef, an artist of sorts ... and a serial killer.

Having escaped jail by killing a deputy, she's on the run, but she's also looking for her husband, who has packed his bags and gone ... somewhere.

He's the only man who ever accepted her, loved her in his own way. But he's made a mistake in thinking that his wife would let him leave her ... alive.

I really liked the characters, as flawed as they were. Even knowing she's a serial killer ... she has a line she won't cross. She won't kill animals or children or anyone who is an innocent. Most of her victims are men ... cruel men, arrogant men, men who use women. Tim comes across initially as a little uninterested in life in general. His basement was filled with his wife's trophies ... and asked why he did not know what she was doing ... his response was that she didn't allow him down there. But now that he knows, he's afraid she may be coming after him next.

The reader gets to watch both parties on their adventures .. his looking for somewhere new and hers looking for him. Bodies continue to follow Susannah while Tim becomes a stalker of sorts.

This is a well-written psychological crime thriller with memorable characters. THE KILLING GIRL is definitely a page turner .... I read it in one sitting.

This is the follow-up to THE QUIET TYPE, but is easily read as a stand alone. Warning .. there is a slight cliff hanger, which I'm hoping means there is a 3rd book in the making.

Many thanks to the author / S Prescott Thrillers / Netgalley for the digital copy of this thriller. Opinions expressed here are unbiased and entirely my own.
