Don't get me wrong. I love survival stories. Regardless of genre, length or style. Strangers in the Storm is a quick enough read. I enjoyed well enough.

However, there was something missing. Maybe it was the lack of a climax in the story. Perhaps it was because of the writing style but most of the of the ordeal lacked the sense of urgency and the intesity that I crave when reading stories like this.

Overall, I enjoyed it well enough and would recommene it to anyone who likes to read about mountain climbing. As far as it holds up to comparative works I would say it is mediocre at best.

A good quick read about how a seemingly straightforward climb up Mt Rainier turned into something a lot more dangerous. I have climbed up Rainier myself and it is certainly no easy task. I was so engrossed in this story that I read most of it in one sitting. It also has a happy ending for the climbers.
Thank you Netgalley, Jared Rund, Diane McKenney and BooksGoSocial for the ARC for my honest opinion.

This was a very short, interesting read about Jared and Diane, two strangers who climb mount rainier together through treacherous conditions and end up falling in Love. I would have loved to have more of the story, but it is to the point and tells the facts. Thank you to netgalley for the review!

I received this ARC from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.

Thank you NetGalley!!

Strangers Jared and Diane met on Mount Ranier. Neither of them knew where the next few days on this dangerous peak would lead them.

They were caught in a blizzard and lost their hiking parties. They were forced to spend the night on this peak with nothing but their will and each other.

It's a story of survival and love against the odds.
