Deceit and betrayal is all that Jace knows. So trusting somebody is very hard for him. I felt so bad for Lindsey. We know she's as innocent as they come and you just can't wait until the rest of the team catches on to that fact too. I enjoyed this book immensely.

This is quite a departure from the stories the author has previously written. I’ve enjoyed quite a few of her books but sad to say, I did not enjoy this one.

I didn’t connect to the characters or the story which revolves around Hackers. There wasn’t enough romance and whereas I’ve previously complimented the author for writing steamy love scenes the ones in this book were poorly written even the sexual dialogue didn’t hit the mark.

This didn’t even feel like it was the same author writing compared to her previous novels. I’ve read romantic suspense/intrigue books before but this one just didn’t interest me, so I won’t continue with the series.

Very intriguing- action packed- loved the writing!

Deadlock is definitely 5 stars! A very drama filled story with danger and suspense with a "who do you trust" theme that makes the book a thrilling read. Lindsey Morris is a strong and independent woman rather she has ever exercised that part of herself or not. Having a completely out there, wild and free twin, Lindsey hasn't had much need to be as brazen as she needs to be once confronted with a slew of problems to face after her twin, Lena goes missing.

Jace is a book boyfriend that is hot, sexy, yet dangerous and smart. While his body tells him to trust Lindsey, his mind and past warn him away.

Danger and violence brings these two together and the story was amazing.

Highly recommend and CANNOT wait for the next book in this series.

This was pretty good. It ended with me wanting more and now I want to read the second one ASAP! There was romance and suspense. I give it 31/2 stars. Thanks to netgalley for the ARC!

The story of Jace and Lindsey.
They meet when Lindsey's twin sister, Lena, dissapears and she is sent a message to go to him and ask for help.
Jace has a history with Lena, when she ruined his life, so he is reluctant to help.
Fast paced read, which surely will have a sequel.

A big thank you to NetGalley and Entangled Publishing for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This is the first in a new series. Fun read, but what's with the last chapter???? Thanks is a romantic suspense Lindsey and Jace. Is e absolutely hates Lindseys twin sister Lena. An interesting read, still not sure about Lena but loved Lindsey. I would recommend to romance readers and readers of suspense. 4 stars.

This book is clearly the first in a series and what a start to a new series it is. Lindsey is the quiet and 'good' twin. While her sister Lena is the one to go rushing into adventure, not worrying about who she hurts or upsets along the way, Lindsey has always followed her picking up the pieces. When Lena goes missing, Lindsey has no choice but to turn to the man who Lena almost destroyed when they were younger.
This is very much a romantic suspense novel. The suspense element being just about as important as the romance. In fact, apart from a kiss when the two first meet, it's a while before the romance side comes through for Lindsay and Jace.
I am quite a big fan of enemy to lover romances. In this case, Jace and Lindsay aren't really enemies as such, it's Lena that Jace has a problem with. After the way that she, in his eyes, ruined his life, he's never going to be that welcoming towards her identical twin sister.
I really enjoyed this read. While it came to a conclusion of sorts at the end of this book, there's clearly more to come. Both for Lena, who I think is probably nowhere near as bad as everyone seems to think, and for the group that Jace works for and with. I'm looking forward to reading the next book in the series.
I received a complimentary copy of this book through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

"It didn't help matters that his T-shirt could scarcely contain his muscles, and the way his jeans hugged his hard thighs made her mouth water."

I've been a Cherrie Lynn fan for years so it was a no-brainer that I would follow her on this new journey. I'm kind of a geek myself so a sexy hacker is right up my alley and I couldn't wait to get my hands on Jace...I mean Deadlock ...well, both. 😉

I found the idea of Jace being faced with twins to be irresistible, especially if he hated the one and lusted after the other. It was very exciting as I waited for him to realize there were two of them. I knew he would fight his attraction to her just on principle, and I knew he would lose the battle, the wait was delicious.

Lindsey is the quiet one. She's a loner and likes it that way. If it wasn't for her fear for her sister's life she would never have ventured out and asked Jace for help. She knew what her sister had done to him, so Lindsey getting him to even listen to her would be her biggest challenge. It would be no surprise to him that her sister had gotten herself in trouble, again, that seemed to be a theme in her life. But, what neither he, nor I, expected was what she did to get him to hear her out. That's when things got really exciting!

I devoured this story from cover to cover. It had everything I dig in a romantic suspense novel. #Action #BadassTeam #Enemies2Lovers #GeekSpeak #KindleThrowing #Passion #Secrets #SexyTime #Surprises and best of all...more to come. The author teased me at the end with a glimpse of what I had to look forward to in the next Hacker World installment and I can't wait! The line forms here...

I liked the overall premise and how the drama unfolds for Lindsey to end up at Jace's door. How the series and overarching storyline will play out is interesting.

I didn't buy how Jace's world connected to Lindsey's and her ultimate role in it all felt like a reach. I started skimming when we got to Lindsey and Sully's posturing and bickering. I didn't like Lindsey during this and I need Sully's character to chill her badassery when we get to her story.

For a series, I want a HEA for the H/h even if they're involved with future stories. This feels set up for a new H/h, but there's too much unsettled and a lack of trust or solid ground for Lindsey and Jace. I'm not sure if the lack of a clear and obvious HEA for their personal relationship was intended.

It will be interesting to see how the series plays out.

Deadlock by Cherrie Lynn a four-star read that will re-write what you think. This is the first novel in the Hacker World series, and I want number two like right now, that epilogue made the whole read, what comes next. Jace Adams and his team are intense, and they will make you think about if what you know is really what you know. Lindsay and Lena have a very complex relationship and it took me while to figure them out, and I still don’t know if I am truly sure of what I think is right. This is a complex and twisted story, filled with intrigue and passion. This is a great story and I can’t wait to read more from this author.

This is Jace and Lynsi‘s book, Jace is an ex Air Force hacker and he’s the best at what he does there isn’t a system around that he can’t hack but when he finds Lena the woman he hates most in the world on his doorstep the last thing he wants to do is help her or is it really Lena? Lynsi cannot believe her twin sister Lena is missing she only has a cryptic text message to find a certain man who Lena once betrayed but as easy as it was to find Jace it’s harder to get him to agree to help her find her sister he refuses to put his team at risk until they find out that the enemy they’re facing maybe one that they have in common! This book was really really good I definitely enjoyed reading this one it kind of ends on a partial cliffhanger not a major one I can’t stand them LOL but this one leaves a little bit of stuff up in the air like I said it’s not a major cliffhanger just a few loose ends. I definitely recommend reading this one don’t miss out! Thank you Netgalley and the publishers for sharing this book with me!

I received an advanced reader's copy of Deadlock by Cherrie Lynn from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This was the first novel that I had read by Cherrie Lynn, but after reading, she is an author I would look for and in the future.

Overall, I enjoyed this novel and I found it to be well written. From the summary to the last page, I was intrigued and engrossed. The primary characters' romantic start was a little rocky (guy burned by the not-so-good twin is leery of the good twin showing up and asking for his help), but it improved quickly and the main characters' chemistry was believable. The steamy scenes were hot, the drama was engrossing, and the plot moved along. It was an enjoyable read!

Wow! This novel grabbed me from the very first page and kept me hooked until the very last page. I loved the Jace - he's the perfect brooding and reluctant hero. Lindsey and Lena are interesting characters - I loved the twist that identical twins added to the story. Lindsey is a kind and gentle soul that is dragged into a situation she doesn't understand when her sister, Lena, went missing. When Lindsey starts following the clues Lena left, she encounters Jace and their reluctant partnership begins. What follows is a quickly moving tale that is tightly woven and kept me turning pages just as quickly as possible. Additionally, I loved the romantic energy between Jace and Lindsey.

If you enjoy romantic suspense, you will love this book. While it's the first book I've read by this author, it won't be the last. I'm adding her to my must read authors' list and am already looking forward to the next book in the series. (This is a stand alone novel.)
