This was beyond adorable, it's so cute, and I'm definitely going to remember it for a long time to come.

Ahh so cute! It was so funny to read this from the pets’ perspective, haha. I thoroughly enjoyed each of their personalities and I think the text messages was such a creative way to write a book revolving around pets. I found myself chuckling many times. So adorable!

I expected this to be cute and while some of the messages were, most were not. There was nothing original here at all. I was disappointed in this and will not. read more in the series.

'Texts from Mittens: The Friends and Family Edition' by Angie Bailey is a book of text conversations from a cat.

Mittens, in a series of one page text conversations, texts with other cats, the household dog, his owner and her mother, and the drunk neighbor next door. There are conversations about boxes and a rogue catnip business and lots of pleas for food. There are typos and hashtags.

And it was hard to find much of it very funny. Mild amusement is where I land with this and I felt like it runs pretty thin by the end.

I received a review copy of this ebook from Andrews McMeel Publishing and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you for allowing me to review this ebook.

This book downloaded in the wrong format and I was unable to read it.
I am just giving a high rating so I don’t bring down the rating.

A book that is bound to resonate and perfect for themed displays. I can see it being a hit in the public library setting. Funny with clever text and art to match, it is a a mood improver and guaranteed pick me up.

I had very high expectations from this book but to be honest it didn't stand to it at all. I didn't understand the entire concept, it was vague. I wouldn't recommend this book unless you know what it would be like

A cute website, but not a great book. The format of text conversations don't seem to do well in book format. If you want this, just go to the website, it works a lot better. Funny stuff, just not in a book.

Angie Bailey's new "Texts from Mittens: The Friends and Family Edition" is the next chapter in Mitten's quirky texts to "Mom," a single, working woman who loves puns.

The book is based on Ms. Bailey's popular blog on tumblr that consists of humorous text message exchanges between a cat and her owner about their frequently inebriated next door neighbor "Drunk Patty, the "filthy hound" Earl, and best cat-friend Stumpy.

The book "reads" like a comic strip of sorts. It is funny and lighthearted. A nice "pick-me-up" when you need a laugh.

I received this as an eBook from Andrews McMeel Publishing via NetGalley in exchange for an honest and unbiased review of the title. I did not receive any compensation from either company. The opinions expressed herein are completely my own.

I tried and tried and tried to read this, it just was not funny, or cute, it was tiresome and I just can't make myself do it anymore. I'm sorry, I hope someone else will give it a fair shake.

Funny. Great quick read! Would recommend to cat lovers and those who like humor books. But, I just felt neutral after reading it and got bored quickly.

Out of all the cat books I have read (and trust me, there have been many) Texts from Mittens is the most hilarious book I have read. I own six cats and Mittens looks like my Mia and, while reading the book, I could imagine Mía sending me these snarky messages.

This was a cute book to read . sometimes it does feel like our animals could do this but in reality we know they can't. Would recommend to anyone looking for a cute quick fun read

I wanted to like this cute little book of cat texts but it fell short for me. Rather than being something that could be relatable to all cat owners, the book felt more like inside jokes to this specific family that would only be truly funny to those involved. Honestly DNF about halfway through.

Our family has been enjoying the page-per-day 2019 Mittens calendar this year, so I was eager to check out this new book. It includes the same characters and many of the same situations - boxes, food issues, cat nip, the odd neighbor, antagonizing the dog, Grandma to the rescue, etc. Cat lovers and cat owners will find familiar scenarios here. The premise is fun - what cats are really thinking in text form including hashtags and autocorrect issues. This is a fun collection and fans will get a kick out of Mittens' latest shenanigans.

Like many other reviewers, disappointed this wasn't available to read on Kindle.

Cute, silly book that would definitely appeal to cat lovers! Corny, but fun humor.

Thank you to Net Galley for the ARC for an honest review.

Mittens, the irascible texting cat from the internet, is back with another collection of funny and heart-warming tweets to family and friends.

Mittens spends his days texting with Grandma to get treats and toys. He chats with his friend Stumpy, who has a bit of a reputation with the ladies but can hook Mittens up with good catnip. He texts his girlfriend Fiona about coming over to spend time with him, sometimes in a box.

In this special friends and family edition, Mittens focuses his love (and demands) on those he loves best. from trying to update his Mom’s online dating profile for her to hanging out with the dog Earl whenever there is good squirrel watching to be done. And the next-door neighbor, Drunk Patty, who just wants to be loved by Mittens and texts him when she is feeling needy.

Mittens, however, just wants to live his best life, with plenty of yummy treats, boxes to sleep in, Judge Judy, friendship, catnip, and maybe just a few cuddles from Grandma. Actually, isn’t that all any of us want?

Texts from Mittens, The Friends and Family Edition, is such a fantastic gift for cat lovers. All friends and parents of cats would love this exclusive insiders look at a cat and his tweets. Author Angie Bailey has perfectly captured the mind of a cat, and in so doing, has perfectly captured the heart of this cat and book lover. Loved this one! Recommend this one! Buy this one!

Galleys for Texts from Mittens: The Friends and Family Edition were provided by Andrews McMeel Publishing through NetGalley, with many thanks.

This edition of Texts from Mittens is a book collection of text message from Mittens the cat to and from friends and family. Just to be clear, this is a sequential art book for more mature audiences because Mittens is not the nicest cat and he tends to be very snarky ...all of the time.

I really enjoyed this book. I mostly picked it up because of the cover, but I was pleasantly surprised. I not only laughed a lot over theses messages, I also read a few aloud to colleagues and my husband, and they too got a kick out of Mitten's craziness. This is a fun book if you are looking to just pick up and put down something easy to read. The sequences are only a few pages at most, and most end with some funny reaction from Mittens. I really enjoyed how snarky he was and then the love that sh tried to show to his girlfriend, a cat named Fiona. It was all a lot of fun and if you like comics like this - note it is all text - then I think you will enjoy this compilation.
