A very short yet highly entertaining, fun, witty and engaging journey filled with interesting charters, heartwarming twists and emotional turns... was a great read. Loving Sweetwater Springs and looking forward to returning!

I’ve loved all the books in the Sweetwater Springs series and his novella is no exception. Paris was a great side character in the first book, so I was excited to see his love story played out. Lacy is a fantastic character (definitely a fan of her being a librarian) and has so much heart. This book is also the perfect length for a single sitting read. I really recommend checking out this entire series especially if you love small town romances with just the sweetest characters and not too much crazy drama.

This was such a sweet, adorable, emotional novella.
I loved how connected Paris was to the small town Sweetwater Springs, and how the whole town seemed to look after each other, and if it was wanted or not, it didn't matter.
Paris and Lacy Shaw have a shy yet true connection, I loved how Lucy blossomed and found her inner strength to face the past.
Paris finding his foster parents was touching, and how a memory illness affects a person was realistic and sadly true to life. I wish there would have been more about Paris' past, about his struggles with his parents and growing up in foster care. What we find out about him is admirable, how he reaches out to his former foster parents was heartwarming.
Lacy's meddling family had me laughing out loud - cause it is only funny when it is not happening to yourself!
I somehow have missed this series until this novella was offered for me to read, and I'm glad that I found out about the series, even if late to the game, cause this place, Sweetwater Springs, sounds like the perfect place to escape into!
An entertaining and lovely love story

Rains style of writing is so refreshing. I cant wait to get my hands on her books when they come out. I just fall into them and don't want to come out. The chemistry between Lacy and Paris was so perfect and the characters are s0 easy to like. I just love Sweetwater Springs. Look forward to reading more.

I was one of those readers that emailed Annie as soon as I read Christmas on Mistletoe Lane wanting to know if Paris got his own book. I’m very happy that Annie agreed he was deserving. This novella doesn’t disappoint….well, only in the sense that it is a novella and not a full-length novel! I loved revisiting Sweetwater Springs and seeing Paris get his HEA. This is a must read for fans of this series and anyone who needs a reminder that it does get better.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this novella.

If he was a painter, he'd be running for his easel. If he was a writer, he'd grab a pen and paper, ignited by inspiration.

I absolutely adored this book!

Kiss Me in Sweetwater Springs seemed so sweet and summerish that I had to read it once I saw it on NetGalley. The moment I started reading this book I fell for Rains beautiful style of writing; it is simple, detailed and breathtaking. I found myself loving the characters almost immediately and couldn't put the book down as the story kept getting more and more interesting.

When reading shorter books like this I most of the time feel like the story is moving too fast. But in Kiss Me in Sweetwater Springs I didn't get this feeling. Even though Lacy's and Paris' love might be moving a little bit too quickly for some readers I found it incredibly sweet and pure.

I loved getting to know book lover and heroine Lacy. I could see myself in her incredibly much at times and found that very interesting, it also pulled me into the book even more.

Paris isn't the typical bad boy that you might think in the beginning of the book, which I really enjoyed. There's a deep and meaningful reason for him not to want a relationship, but perhaps things will change when he meets Lacy?

The chemistry between Lacy and Paris was on point. It felt real and the characters development was evident and definitely there even though the book only was 80 pages long! Amazing.

I can't wait to read more of Annie Rains & return to Sweetwater Springs again.

⭐️ Kiss Me in Sweetwater Springs gets 5/5 stars from me!

A big thanks to NetGalley for the ARC.

I have read Annie Rains books before and really enjoy them and this one is no exception . This one is centered around Sweetwater Springs library . The main characters are Lucy the librarian and Paris that teaches computers to the elderly at the library. Paris was fostered in town for awhile as a child and it seems his foster father is coming to the class. Very good story, that is why I recommend that you read this book to see what goes on and how it turns out.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Forever (Grand Central Publishing) via NetGalley and I am voluntarily reviewing it.

This was a wonderful short story. I adored Paris and Lacy and their journey to really accepting themselves and opening up to the possibly of a relationship. Even though I didn't wear a back brace in high school, I was bullied as well. I could see a younger version of myself in Lacy. I adored getting an inside look into the thoughts of both characters. This helped me to identify with Paris. I had loving parents so I didn't have the foster child background like he did.

This story will make a dark dreary day a bright one. I was charmed by the plot and the wonderful story-telling. The only sad part was it ended way too early for me.

This is a sweet charming story that anyone can read.

It was nice to return to Sweetwater Springs in this short story about Lacy Shaw, the town librarian and Paris Montgomery, a graphics designer. This story gives you hope as the two main characters have overcome their pasts, moved on, and have a chance to reconnect with their pasts too. They also have a chance of building a relationship of their own.

I enjoyed Lacy's book group, Ladies Day Out, who did not always read the monthly book but took on other activities at the meeting like enrolling Lacy in a dating site called Fish in the Sea. I also enjoyed Lacy coming out of her shell and learning to enjoy her life outside of books.

I really enjoyed the grumpy character of Mr. Jenson, who surprised me in the story as to the roll he would play and why he was so grumpy. He was a character you just had to end up liking in the end. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.

Once again Sweetwater Spring has brought back another happy couple. It was well written and kept you intrigued where you didn't want to put it down.
Annie knows how to catch your attention and pull the string attached to the heart.

4 1/2 stars

I have to tell you that reading this novella in the past day has been so welcome. It’s gentle and sweet, heart-warming and kind. I really needed this.

Lacy Shaw had been pretty much bullied in high school because she had to wear a back brace due to childhood scoliosis. She’s used to being in the background. And now, when it’s time for her 10-year high school reunion, she doesn’t want to go. Why should she subject herself to the bullies again?

Paris Montgomery is the new teacher at the library for a computer skills class for seniors. He’s seemingly a bad boy with his tattoos and motorcycle, but he proves looks are deceiving. He’s seeking refuge from a bad divorce in which his wife cheated and he’s not looking for a new relationship, but there’s something about Lacy that keeps drawing him to her.

If you’ve read my reviews, you know that I am not a fan of most romance novellas that make insta-love a thing. But this one. Wow. I believed in it. I understood Lacy’s trepidation. I understood Paris’ reluctance. I felt the sparks between them. I also felt how drawn to each other they were. Kudos to Annie Rains for evoking all of the feels.

She swallowed. “Are you going to kiss me again?”

His blue eyes narrowed. “Do you want me to kiss you again?”

“Ever since that first kiss.”

Sigh. This is that novella. It makes you feel everything.

If you are in need of a sweet, gentle romance, this is it. It’s part of a series. I understand that it’s 2.5 so I guess that there have already been two books written in the series. This is definitely a standalone because I didn’t note any dependencies.

I highly recommend.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I just love Sweetwater Springs & this was such a nice, short visit there. Lacey is the town librarian who loves helping people find the perfect books. Paris hadn't planned to stay in Sweetwater Springs but after Lacey had contacted him asking if he'd help teach a class at the library he stayed for a bit. Lacey was very shy after being bullied & teased during high school & hadn't planned on going to her high school reunion. Paris didn't have an easy life, going between foster homes. Even though at times he felt like he didn't fit in he was willing to go with Lacey to her reunion where she planned on showing those who teased her that they didn't break her. Both had to grow and deal with their pasts. Even though this is a novella the story didn't feel rushed, it was the perfect paced & charming story.

I’ll be frank and say that I’ve yet to meet an Annie Rains story that I didn’t love – true, some more than others, but they all carry me away to a Romance full of realistic characters experiencing slices of real life. KISS ME IN SWEETWATER SPRINGS is no exception to that ongoing rule.

On the surface, Lacy and Paris appear quite the opposites but look a little closer and you’ll see two people who have always longed to belong somewhere, to someone special who sees their true value, the real person that they often hide from the world.

Since KISS ME IN SWEETWATER SPRINGS is novella length I won’t take the chance of spoiling it for future readers. Everything you really need to know before picking this story up is in the Cover Description. Beyond that – expect to have your emotions engaged, maybe shed a frustrated or eventually happy tear and fall in love with a town, grumpy residents included, and a couple that is so right for each other once they leave the past behind and look toward their future.

If you’ve read the entire series (so far) then you may remember Paris. I was so looking forward to his story and was not one bit disappointed in the lasting love he’s found in shy Lacy. Theirs is a happy for now romance, but I’m also hoping to catch glimpses of them as the series continues to sort of following along on their adventure toward a permanent happy ever after.

KISS ME IN SWEETWATER SPRINGS is a good reminder of how much I love this small town with all its quirky residents and the love that can be found right where you live. I had a blast with Lacy and Paris and would not hesitate at all in recommending their story to any reader who simply loves a Romance that will touch your heart.

*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*

While this was a sweet story, I didn’t really connect with either lead. I’m not sure if it was the length of the book itself or the characters. I love Annie Rains but this installment in the series didn’t grab me by the heartstrings.
My thanks to Netgalley for the advance copy. My opinions are my own and freely given

Every visit to Sweetwater Springs makes me fall a little bit more in love with the town.

Meeting Paris in the first book in this series made me want his story so bad and it definitely didn't disappoint. The backstories of Paris and Lacy made me want so much more of their book. Their connection made my heart feel so full. This novella has made me so excited to visit this town again!

Kiss Me in Sweetwater Springs is a short story by Annie Rains. While I haven’t read all of the Sweetwater Springs series it is always wonderful to be able to visit there. This visit is no different. For Paris Montgomery, it is a return back to a place that had felt like home when he was younger. For Lacy Shaw it has always been home. These were two characters who were different in many ways but alike in feeling like outsiders when growing up. I so enjoyed getting to know both of them.

This heartwarming story reminds you why Sweetwater Springs is such a special place. It is novella in length but has a satisfying happily right now conclusion. I have no doubt that forever is in their future, which I hope the reader will get to hear about in the next book. It is a complete story with no cliffhanger. A short but captivating story.

I struggled with this book keeping my attention. I found myself skimming the pages and just reading the dialogue. I really wanted to finish the story and find out if Paris and Mr. Jenson would reconcile the past, but I just couldn't finish it. I don't feel like it is written very well. It seemed like it was written by a first time author, or a very young adult or teenager. This storyline has promise. I just think it needs further development. DNF.
