Using the idea of your life as the captain of a submarine, and the submarine as the 'vessel for your vision' is unique, apt, and inspired. I found this book very useful for sharpening an existing vision - submarine crews are legendary for running a tight ship, and having clear procedures to direct them. Taking some of this mindset and applying it to my vision took work, but it was worth it. The first quarter of the book had a lot of repetition and had me wondering if we would ever 'break the surface' and get to the practicals but once we did... This is one of the few books iwhere I can see how the framework will apply. I repeat though, in my opinion, it is better suited to a somewhat developed vision than someone with no vision at all.
