My apologies for the late review. I thought I gave my opinion but in tidying up my netgalley I see that I didn’t. This book was great! I laughed out loud many times and I know follow on Instagram so I can see more

'War and Peas: Funny Comics for Dirty Lovers' by Elizabeth Pich and Jonathan Kunz is a collection of comics featuring witches, robots, a grim reaper and others.

Filled with dark humor, touches of the human condition, and a bit of naughtiness, these comics are not for the feint of heart, but others will find them pretty hilarious. I love the art style and the running gags that show up.

I loved this comic - very funny for an adult audience. I found myself sharing pages from it in a way I haven't with most short-panel comics that are published in a collected format. A fun way to pass an afternoon!

Maybe if I had never heard of the authors before and didn't follow them on Tumblr I would have enjoyed this book more. However, I had seen the majority of the comic strips before so it would not be something I'd spend money on to just see the same ones again. The new ones that were there was the only reason why the book got 2 stars instead of 1 star.

I found this comic series hilarious, it was perfect to read in an evening with a cup of hot chocolate and a bit of wit.

I would like to thank NetGalley, the author, and the publisher for providing me with a copy of this ebook.

War and Peas by Jonathan Kunz & Elizabeth Pich was such a delight! I am a huge fan of their webtoons and the book did not disappoint. Most of them managed to get a smile or a laugh out of me. A perfect gift for that one sarcastic friend of yours,

Really hilarious dark humour, a great book to leaf through when you need something to make you smile.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for letting me read an advance copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Quirky humor in this one. Maybe not for everyone, but for me I thought it was very funny, I had a lot of laugh out loud moments, sometimes really unexpected too!

This was super cute and funny. Most of the strips made me smirk or giggle a little. My favorite one was Take Me. I guffawed at that one. There isn't really much of tying theme except for either death or sex. It was cute though. I guess the authors actually have a blog online where most of these comics can be found. I didn't like all of them so that's why it was only 4/5. Overall cute.

A laugh out loud hilarious collection of comics that are lightly morbid, and oh so funny! I loved the art-style, and colors. I can't wait for the next collection. Brilliant!

A huge thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for providing me with a digital copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I greatly appreciate it!

It wasn't was I was expecting. I wasn't that familiar with the comics. I bit too crude for my taste but I did enjoy some of the strips. I liked the artwork very much.

Unexpected punches, hilarious endings. I love War and Peas comics online and I loved them in the book.
Ever since I read The Book Thief, I find any commentary or depiction of the grim reaper very amusing and telling, so War and Peas is one of my favourite online comics.
In the book, too, the jabs and jibes are hilarious, well-timed and at times, dark. Just the way I like them!

Decently funny with simple but effective art. I've encountered many of these comics online previously but it was great to get a full collection to give me more.

Fun, snarky, and a little bit wrong at times. This collection of the War and Peas webcomic won't please everyone, but it'll please people who have a sense of humor that leans toward the dark side. There are many recurring characters, but not a running storyline, so don't expect that. Reading this was like eating potato chips- I just kept putting it in my brain, couldn't stop till I got to the end. It reads really quickly, but it's one I'll go back to and snicker again.

2.5 Stars

I was really excited for this one, but didn't really find myself laughing hardly at all and found a lot of it quite boring.

An enjoyable comic collection of short, funny, and sometimes a little bawdy 4-panels about Death, pets, and more.

As a fan of the comics seen on the web, I was pleased to have an actual book form to collect them. While the artwork is simple and straightforward, the humor is spot on and often unexpected. Many of the comics are adult oriented without being vulgar while others tie into each other. Definitely worth a read for old and new readers alike.

Every popular web comic seems to be expanding into publishing collections of their comics. Since I’m more up to date on my reading books than I am reading webcomics, this is a good thing. It also means I have only seen War and Peas passing by on my channels from time to time so most if not all comics are new for me.

The comics follow a pattern of four panes, and usually they are a little morbid. There are certain returning characters like The Grim Reaper, a robot, a witch, a dog and a ghost. Quite some of the comics made me smile.

Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for providing me with a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review!

Front to back this book is hilarious. I was very excited when I saw this cover because it looked perfect for me. I like funny and punny comics and this hit the mark. I wanted to screen shot about 80% of this book and send it to my friends. My favorite part about the book is the witch characters story line, when she is at the doctor I literally laughed out loud in my library which is a big no no but was totally worth it. I highly recommend this book if you are looking for something light and funny between other reads. I also think it would be a great gift book.

I forgot to download this book before it was archived so I waited for our store to get a copy and read it!

This was a fun book to read. I like that each story is only 4 panels so you can pick up the book read a couple of stories and put it back down for later. I love all the characters, they all made me giggle at some point throughout the book.
