Awesome space themed stripes that relates to the new Snoopy series, always a relief and a good choice for fans or even who just want a moment of fun and distraction with quality. Higly recommended!

This selection of ‘Peanuts’ comics takes me back to my childhood, and even further. Alongside the usual baseball games, school reports and Peppermint Patty falling asleep in class, the kids’ thoughts on newsworthy occurrences at the time, such as the moon landing and Halley's Comet, are also included.

While Snoopy prepares to be the first beagle on the moon, Lucy considers the possibility of extraterrestrial life. Naturally it can’t exist; if it did it would have already made contact with her.

When he’s not being an astronaut, Snoopy is either trying to figure out what type of bird Woodstock is or leading Woodstock and the other Beagle Scouts on adventures a little closer to home. When Charlie Brown bails one of the Scouts out of jail (don’t ask!) and attempts to return her to the rest of the troop they get lost in the woods. Peppermint Patty and Marcie to the rescue!

Sally and Eudora prepare themselves for another summer at camp and Sally plots revenge.

There’s also time to celebrate Christmas, Halloween, Valentine’s Day and Ground Hug Day, and I saw some space comics from the archives for the first time.

While I love all of the ‘Peanuts’ kids I’ve never been that big of a fan of Snoopy himself, especially the World War I flying ace comics. However, there’s plenty of variety in this collection and I’m looking forward to the next one.

Thank you so much to NetGalley and Andrews McMeel Publishing for the opportunity to read this graphic novel.

A collection of Peanut strips that are all about the moon. Lovely dialogue from Snoopy and his company.

A classic Snoopy comic. Most of the collection isn’t focused on Snoopy’s exploration in space, but there’s still something about it that makes you feel like a kid again.

There is a palatable nostalgia that comes from reading Snoopy comics and I certainly experienced it while enjoying this free PDF from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. The best part of this book for me wasn't Snoopy, but the featuring of some of the gang's more minor characters. I will freely admit that I have never really liked Charlie Brown (or mean ol' Lucy) as much as I do Peppermint Patty, Marcie, Sally and the adorable Woodstock!

Since this is a re-print of previously run comics, the book occasionally struggles from some strips not being directly on theme or a gap in the over-arching storyline. But, that is to be expected in a collection like this one.

If you have a child that is interested in space travel and exploration or the story of how we firs travelled to space, this collection is perfect. Or, if you, like me, just enjoy a trip back to your childhood, you will certainly enjoy this book.

Thank you to NetGalley and Peanuts collection for the ARC provided.

Who doesn’t like Snoopy? I grew up with this character. Snoopy and his friends always makes me smile with simple and common sense opinions that came from a beagle and kids.

I found myself smiling and laughing while reading this book. The group always completed to each other, interacting, teasing. When Snoopy landed on the moon, I smiled wide to ear instantly.

It’s a good thing that Snoopy and his friends still make a book for generation nowadays, they wont miss any sweet stories from this character.

A great comic book!!

Today, my youngest daughter (10) and I got to read an early digital ARC of the graphic novel, Snoopy First Beagle in Space (PEANUTS AMP Series Book 14): A PEANUTS Collection, by Charles M. Schulz. Thank you Netgalley and Andrews McMeel Publishing for providing this book for an honest review. We love all things Snoopy! We are a huge fans of the PEANUTS series so it was a fun & delightful read for our Sunday afternoon. We enjoyed everything about moon-related comic strips and other great collection of the non-space related classic Peanuts comic strips. We absolutely loved reading the book. We also loved the educational space facts included at the end of the book. We highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a fun read! Since we loved it so much that we plan to pre-order a paperback copy for ourselves. We can't wait for the official March 17, 2020 publishing date!

This was my first time reading Snoopy and it was great. It was funny and I enjoyed it very much. I would definitely recommend Snoopy for every age.

Peanuts and Charlie Brown were among my goto Sunday comics back in the ’60s and ’70s. The local paper placed the cartoon on the front page of its full-color section of the paper. My dad would grab the front section; I would grab the weekly comics from the Sunday paper. And there was Snoopy, Charlie Brown, and friends, on the top of the cover of that precious section. Though I no longer receive a paper copy of our local paper (I do subscribe to a digital copy) and no longer have access to Snoopy and the gang, he is still among my favorite strips.

Though a large section of this collection of strips does pick up the theme of Snoopy in space, it certainly does not represent the entire collection. The entire gang is here. The ARC that I received did not indicate the original dates of the included material; thus there is no way of knowing whether they were pulled randomly from available strips or represent a particular year or sequence. As can be seen, color has been added to what may have been B/W strips when originally presented.

It was fun (and I found myself laughing) to watch this group of kids, dogs, and birds (yep, Woodstock is here too) interacting, teasing, and, occasionally, helping each other. I great gift for those who love Charlie Brown or to introduce him to those unfamiliar with his contribution to 20th-century culture. I now want to go back and examine others in this 14 book collection.

It's wonderful to see that Snoopy and his friends have aged so well. I loved the Peanuts comics as a kid but thought I was too old for them now. It turns out you're never too old for Snoopy, Woodstock, Lucy, Linus, Marcy and the round-headed kid (as Snoopy calls Charlie Brown).

This is an impressively long book of re-released color comics from before we made it to the moon. Lots of moon-related comics are included (especially at the start and the end) and then there is some great information about the moonlanding, moments in space history (just the good ones) and the surprising role that Snoopy's gang played in the first moonlanding. Kids are sure to like this book and even learn something. Two of my kids are probably going to be arguing over who gets to read this one first, which is a testament to how well this series has endured.

I read a temporary digital ARC of this book for the purpose of review.

There's just something so comforting about classic Snoopy comics. I enjoyed the book, especially the instructional information at the back about space exploration. Most of the collection isn't about Snoopy and his space endeavors, however, but normal Peanuts exploits - the kids at school, Charlie Brown playing football, etc. If you enjoy Snoopy comics, I definitely recommend this book.

Snoopy isn’t my favorite Peanuts character, so I appreciate that this compilation is not primarily Snoopy-centric comic strips. There is a good mix of comics with other characters in addition to a number of Snoopy comics. The space themed strips bookend the compilation, with seasonal strips in between. The kids at my library have recently rediscovered Peanuts comics, so these newer graphic novel compilations are very popular. I’ll definitely be ordering for our collection.

A great collection of Peanuts comics. Who doesn't love Snoopy? This is a cute book of Peanuts comics and not all have to do with space.

It is nice to see how Peppermint Patty was into reading. Her teacher might need to give her more book about sports. Now I wonder how great Hans Brinker, or the Silver Skates is.

I also like the part when Snoopy mentioned Houston. It took times for me to find out that July 2019 marked as the 50th anniversary of the first humans landing on the moon. That is why they have The First Man, Apollo 11 (Documentary movie) and now First Beagle in Space.

The fact about space on the last pages are also interesting.

Fun Peanuts adventure in Space (and full color). Or at least talking about celestial movements and daydreaming about blasting off to the stars. A unique collection, I don't think I've come across many of these strips before.

I love Snoopy and the gang, so I was very excited to read this collection. Although the title is Snoopy: First Beagle in Space, I will say the majority of the comics had nothing to do with space. That being said, this was still a very enjoyable collection of Peanuts comics.

I received a review copy from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

I was expecting this title to be more space related, but it was still a delightful collection of Peanuts cartoons. The comics with Woodstock and the Beagle Scouts were especially entertaining, and I haven't come across those in other Peanuts collections.

I think this book could have been improved by adding some section breaks. It was a bit of a challenge to find good stopping points as I did not read this volume all the way through in one setting. I would be curious to see if the paperback edition has some sort of sections, or if its one continuous set of comics.

I love the Peanuts gang! I think my favorite bits included Harriet the bird.

Totally worth the read!

I was really excited to read and review this book since I LOVE Snoopy and the gang, but after downloading it, it kept giving me error messages that I couldn't open it. So I'm not sure what the issue was, but you apparently have a downloading issue. :(
