Jill Sanders is a good author and I like most of her books. This one is another good one. I like Mia and Brian, they make a great couple and there are twists and turns thrown in here that you don't see coming. Good solid read.

4th book back in Haven, MT. Brian Laster, the bad boy who left town, and Mia Dillon who had a tough upbringing and has trust issues. They are now both DEA and undercover as a couple. They have to overcome many hurdles, but they find their HEA.

This was a super cute, packed with suspense and got me in the mood for Christmas. I liked that the romance between them started pretty much at the beginning of the book. I'm not a fan of waiting and waiting and waiting. However, I would have loved to see a flashback or something that shows that this didn't just come out of the blue.

There was a major theme of redemption and change which was nicely placed throughout the book. It made me believe I could change all my bad habits! And that this crazy world we are currently living in could still make a turn for the better.

The author did a good job of making this feel like a stand alone. While i hadn't read any of the previous books int eh series I didn't feel like I was missing any information. Although now I want to go back and get more stories on all the other characters.

I enjoyed the undercover situation and the suspense of the mission, but I also felt like it was a little overboard. Like what are the odds that everything happens to this couple all within a week of each other. And they like don't care at all. If I was almost raped, then my home was broken into and then a gun was being held to my head I would have been pretty freaking traumatized and they were acting like "oh this is just a part of every day on the job"

3.5 stars overall

I suppose this is 'almost' a stand alone book. There is enough backstory to get by but it would probably be best to read the other books in this series to enhance the understanding of people and events. Otherwise, I would have given it A five star. A page turner. Great women's romance fiction read. No book report here...just read and enjoy!
I received this book as a complimentary copy for an unbiased review. The opinions expressed are my own.
Thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for the ARC.

Exciting small-town story with thrill and love

Coming home after a long time is always hard, especially when the past was troublesome. Now working as an undercover DEA specialist, it is even harder for Brian to bring his past and presence together. His sexy partner Mia does for sure not help. Beside lots of secrets and lies, attention between the two partners grow.

What a thrilling and sexy story from Jill Sanders which is set in small-town Haven, which is presenting all the good a small town can offer. With this contradiction the reader is practically caught from the story. The protagonists have great chemistry, the other characters are a great addition. The story is heart-warming, bit nostalgic and thrilling the same time. It dies not get boring and is for sure entertaining. Not knowing the other books of the series, it was an easy read. But be aware, Haven is captivating, and you might want to read the other books of the series right afterwards.

A great book with characters, that are interesting and a small town, that is heart-warming and irresistible.

An awesome read. Just love Jill Sanders style of writing. There is a fabulous story as well as the romance, drama, feels and swoony moments that goes into a fantastic story, you just have to keep reading right to the very end. Just brilliant. Happy reading!!

This is part of the Haven Montana series which can be read as a stand alone. I did not read the other books and had no problem following the story. The book is fast paced with crime solving, the issues that both Brian and Mia has with their own family and of course the chemistry between the two. I really enjoyed it and will go back and read the rest of this series. ⁣

Thank you @netgalley for a copy of the book. ⁣

I really liked this book. Brian & Mia are great characters that you can easily like and want to see good things happen to. There were a couple of points to the story that I didn’t see coming and made it that bit more interesting to read. It’s a nice easy read to which is great for what I wanted. First time reading a Jill Sanders book. I like her writing style and will be an author I look for again.

Coming Home was a fun and suspenseful and my first book by Jill Sanders. It is the fourth book in the Haven, Montana series. I would say that you can read this book independently of the first 3 in the series, but I am assuming there is a lot of cross-over and I feel like I was missing out on the dynamics and undercurrents of the story.

Brian Laster swore he'd never return to his hometown of Haven, Montana. He was a class-A arse when he left but his super-secret undercover work for the DEA brings him and his sexy partner, Mia Dillon, home to Haven chasing a drug ring selling tainted pills that are spilling out onto the dark web, he has little choice but to follow.

Brian and Mia have been fighting their attraction not just because of their work but because they are both a little messed up in the relationship department. But as the op requires his to be in close proximity feigning a relationship and facing the family and his past in Haven wears on, it becomes too much for him to fight.

The book took me a little bit to get through as the file sent to me was on the computer, and it is a bit harder for me to read on my computer versus my ipad. **attn here: *ARC provided in exchange for an honest review.* **

Coming Home had a whole suspenseful whodunnit vibe. The mysterious drug manufacturing and trade happening in Haven. Who is involved? Why are townsfolk being killed? I will say there is a trigger warning, the heroine does face a near-rape but definite assault and molestation. The details are handled in a flash-back manner and handled in more of a small detail and a dot. dot. dot (ellipses) for you to draw your own conclusion.

I was a little (lot) irritated with the whole 'Mom spilled the beans on me and my partner being super-secret DEA agents working an undercover mission in town regarding the rampant drug problem--- because, family' thing. I mean ?!?!? huh, who does that? Maybe mom still harbors a little passive-aggressive streak from the whole knife to the throat incident? And I also thought it a little too convenient that Brian's DEA status was already spilled to his mom but she kept it secret AND how Mia's mother just happened to be dating / affianced to Brian's agent of good luck (the guy who convinced him to join the force)...

3.75 stars rounded to 4.0 (with the assumption I would have enjoyed it more if I had read the previous 3 books and gotten all the references)

The book was fun and suspenseful and I recommend for those who want a little suspense and danger in their romances.

Again, *ARC provided in exchange for an honest review.*

The book starts good , but soon becomes long-winded... Age of hero seem not in relation to his experiences, so I stoped reading after one-third.

This is a voluntary review of an advanced copy.

This book kept me guessing until the end and I wondered about one character and was right! When Mia and Brian go to his hometown to hunt down the drug dealers, Brian is pretty apprehensive about coming home. He doesn't have a good reputation there but has changed and turned his life around since leaving.

Mia and Brian have a chemistry between them but so far have kept it professional as they are partners in the DEA. This case, they are posing as boyfriend/girlfriend and this puts them in close quarters!

Both Mia and Brian have circumstances that have the feeling they are broken so they are not ones to easily trust others. There are so many side characters in the story and are mostly family of either Mia or Brian and they are so much fun to see them interact.

I liked that even a character like Darla is given a second chance to change and make a difference in their life! Great HEA!

I did not read the previous 3 books, which left me at a disadvantage, as I didn't even know what McGowen Enterprises was, without looking up blurbs of the previous books.

Brian Laster father tried to kill him when he was only 11 years old, after learning that the boy was not his biological son, even though he had been pretty abusive long before that. It was Gavin Laster that ended up hanging from the bridge that day, and although he never told a soul what happened, his reaction was to become a bully. Later he learned that he was actually the son of Carl McGowen, who was not a great role model either, but that made him cousins to Trent, Tyler and Trey, owners of McGowan Enterprises.

He left Haven to move to Helena, never planning to ever return, but turning his life around, went through the Montana Law Enforcement Academy and has been working for DEA. His partner has been bad ass, but beautiful Mia Dillon. Her father was killed the day after she was born at which time her mother emotionally shut down. Quite a pair, aren't they? Their current assignment sends them to Haven where they are to find the supplier of deadly drugs and their cover is to be lovers. They trusted each other with their lives as partners, but being in his home posing as sweethearts, has changed the dynamics of their relationship. Can they trust each other with their hearts?

The characters are well developed and the story is an action packed page turner. The only con is not enough backstory was provided from the previous books for those who are reading it not only as a stand alone, bit also for those who read the previous books, but spaced so far apart that they don't remember a lot of the details. I read a free ARC from NetGalley.com and this is my unbiased and voluntary review.

Brian Lester left Haven, MT in a cloud of anger and shame. He never planned to go back. His job takes him back, because people in Haven are dying from using tainted recreational drugs. Mia, his partner in the DEA, and Brian, are used to working together; however, this case has them pretending to be in a deeper relationship. Mia starts meeting the people that Brian knew in his past life in Haven, and things get a little awkward at times. She readily connects with some of his extended family members and his mother’s new husband.

When Brian left a decade earlier, he had been an angry young man. At one point he had even threatened his mother with a knife. He left town and fortunately found his calling on the correct side of the law. Working and living together help Brian and Mia to grow closer and figure out their relationship. Mia figures it is a short-term fling that will end when the assignment is over, but Brian is hoping for more. Through the events and circumstances of the story, they gain a deeper perspective about what they want to do with their lives and their future.

There are some suspenseful events that occur, especially during the latter half of the book. Through most of the book, the reader is never quite sure who is creating the tainted drugs and from where they are originating. These issues do get resolved by the end of the book. There are a few places where the story drags slightly, which leads to some slightly uneven pacing. Nevertheless, the story is interesting and suspenseful, and the relationships between Brian and his extended family make it a worthwhile read. The healing and acceptance Brian and Mia both find are another unexpected bonus in this story.

Coming Home (Haven, Montana book 4) is not the first book I have read by Jill Sanders. I had read a couple of others a while back. This story of Brian Laster returning home while working on a government case is not what I remember like the previous books being. It has an edge with some characters who have had to work through some tough past family issues.

Coming Home is also a gripping story that grabbed me in the prologue, setting the stage for Brian’s story. It holds the reader’s attention not letting go until the conclusion. It is a romance so of course there is a love interest, but even that has a daring feeling to it. The best most compelling story I have read by this author.

The 4th in the series. The first 3 were with brothers, now it is with a cousin. When Brian brings Mia to his hometown he isn’t sure what to expect. They are working undercover for DEA, and are searching for a dealer of tainted pills. A good story overall, and hard to put down. Some of the history wasn’t really clear, but it has been awhile since I’ve read the others, and forgot some parts. Minor overall though, and would highly recommend this book and author.

Another great read in this series that has just enough suspense and drama to keep you engaged until you turn that last page

Ten years ago Brian Laster left Haven Montana and the town was glad to see him go after all he had been a prick to just about everyone Now he has returned as a DEA agent trying to stop the drug trafficking that is passing through the town and he isn't alone. Mia Dillon is his partner in this current case and he would like her to be more. As the passion flares between them will they crack the case and keep Haven safe. Will they have a future together you will have to

I received a copy from NetGalley for an honest review. This was a fast-paced, don't put me down kind of book. Brian and his partner Mia worked for the DEA. They were being sent to Haven, Montana. which was Brian's hometown which he swore he would never go back to. Between the crimes taking place and the relationships being healed, I couldn't put the book down.
Turning the pages was like you were right there tiptoeing around not sure where anyone was or who was going to be there. But even with all that going on, you could also see the different relationships being healed. my favorite was when Mia's mother's boyfriend went out on the porch with Mia and even though it was the first time they had ever met, he knew that Mia was so much like her mother and explained the different body languages they both did as they looked through the window. It was then that Mia realized her mother did love her and had been showing her by the body language but never saying it.
There were so many things branching off from the one topic that it is a book that would be of interest to so many.

We are back in Haven, MT in this 4th book of the series. Though a stand alone, reading the previous stories of the series will definitely enrich the enjoyment of this book.
This time the story belongs to Brian Laster and Mia Dillon. Coming Home meaning dealing with a lot of pass feelings as Brian (the bad boy turn DEA agent ) comes home to help his town with its problem and bring his partner Mia in to the fold, Both have baggage but thogether they make a winning team. lisa

Complementary copy given for honest review.

I loved this book about giving in to love and having a future you didn’t realize was attainable. Jill Sanders pulled off this hot romance as I fell in love with both characters.

Coming Home is the 4th book in Jill Sanders' Haven, Montana series. It focuses on Brian, who we have met in previous Haven books. In the prior books, he was gruff, rude, standoff-ish, so Jill had a lot of work to do to have him redeem himself and transform him into a leading man. And she definitely succeeded.

There is a big time gap between this book and the others in the series, so Brian has really had a chance to grow and mature. When he returns to Haven, it's not necessarily to reunite with his town and family, but it's work related. He returns with Mia, his DEA partner.

Mia is a strong female lead. She's determined, independent and totally amazing. But she has been unlucky in personal relationships, and she's not sure that a relationship with Brian can really bloom and last.

It was great to get back to Haven, MT, and to see it from the eyes of "outsiders" - even though Brian grew up there, he really was an outsider when he returned. Seeing everyone else from the series, years later, was like a homecoming for the reader as well as a homecoming for Brian. Well written, with characters that you instantly connect with. A very satisfying addition to the series and Jill Sanders' collection.
