I enjoyed "Essential Chakra Yoga". This is a wonderful book to introduce you to using yoga to open and enhance your chakras. I think this would be a good book to improve one's yoga practice.

As a yoga teacher myself I found I enjoyed see how the author became so interested in the Chakras, not just how they pertain to a yoga practice in general but how she, herself, came to know them and use them thought her daily life. I felt much of what she talks about in the book to be what I would say my students during a class... especially when there are new students who may not yet be familiar with yoga or chakras.

Her explanations on each chakra was lovely and able to grasp even to someone who might be new to chakras. She gives an in depth but easy to understand outline of each chakra. The thing I liked best about this book was she gives small exercises to practice throughout and larger poses to practice once she delves deeper into each chakra throughout the rest of the book. This is definitely a book I’ll be keeping on my bookshelves and recommending to people who seem to want to take a deeper dive into the practices of chakras.

Essential Chakra Yoga: Poses to Balance, Heal, and Energize the Body and Mind by Christina D'Arrigo.
I am someone interested in doing this to help with my day to day stress. I enjoyed the first chapters going on the practice giving me in site to help me understand more. I felt the instructions where easy to follow. I found this book very helpful and looking forward to using and learning more each day.

This look is so beautiful, colorful, and cohesive. The yoga poses are organized by each chakra, with many illustrations outlining how to execute each pose. Chapter two gives a concise explanation of what chakras are, which makes this a very approachable book for beginners. I also appreciate the index in the back.

The book offers readers poses that benefit each chakra with detailed pages including props, precautions, benefits, numerical instructions, tips, and graphics. Additionally, the readers will also explore chakra yoga sequences for a variety of different outcomes outlined by name, instructions, and graphics. Essential Chakra Yoga by Christina D’Arrigo is a wonderful resource for anyone that is interested in or loves yoga and chakra energy.

This is a great guide and resource for beginners wanting to learn more about chakra yoga. The illustrations are clear, concise, and easy to understand. Each chapter covers a different chakra with specific yoga poses and instructions on how to to practice the posture. I especially loved the yoga sequences at the end of the book, putting it all together. This is an excellent resource!
