I loved this book. The kind of book you forget you are reading because you are fully engaged. I completed all of the exercises and then grabbed a fabulous domain name and ran a design contest for a new logo. The perfect book for someone launching a new business and wants to do it right!

The only negative and this is rather ironic ... the name, 'The Naming Book' is about as bland as they come. After all the tips about avoiding industry cliches in a name. This name is disappointing. But I just couldn't give Brad less than 5 stars, because the content of his book is stellar!

The book has excellent advice and worksheets to help you create creative names for most anything. Must read for someone who is having a hard time coming up with the right business name or a name for any products you want to sell.

The dream of starting a business has ups and downs. Often, one of the hard parts is picking a name that will stand out for all the right reasons. Brad Flowers has been there and helped others with the same issue. The Naming Book shares his method for naming businesses.

Over the course of five steps, Flowers shows a practical way to brainstorm and select a name. Each step is thoroughly explained in simple terms. Exercises are included to help you practice before you get started on the process for real.

After you going through the steps to choose a name, Flowers includes what comes next, such as protecting your name and working on the business identity.

Though I had a name picked out when I started, I believe I can still use what the book says for other projects. As a graphic designer, most of my clients come to me with a name and needing designs that they can use to get that name out there. The steps can be helpful in designing logos and marketing materials that fit the clients’ business.

I received a complimentary copy from the publisher through NetGalley. All opinions are my own.
