The plot is good and showed a ton of promise, especially in the first half. However, there are too many unexplained and unnecessary plot twists. The ending felt unfinished and left with me wondering what really happened.
All in all, I would rate it an okay read. Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the arc.

This book gripped me from the first page wherein we get a glimpse of Nina's diary entry saying that if she is found dead, that it was her husband who killed her. Nina being very wealthy thinks that she conned by her young husband, Connor. The twists and turns had me guessing and anxious to get to the ending.

Young love. Older, wealthy wife. Betrayal. Suspicious death. Accusitory journal entries. The Wife Who Knew Too Much has all of this and more.
Tabitha had a wild fling with Connor, who was two years older. She fell head over heels in love. Connor moved on, eventually marrying Nina, a wealthy woman about 20 years his senior. Their love flourishes until one day Nina is found dead. Connor happens to cross paths with Tabitha and they work to rekindle the spark and fire of their fling from several years back. Everything is beautiful and idyllic until Tabitha finds a note written by Nina implicating her husband in her death. He had tasted of her love, wealth, and lifestyle, and by all accounts loved all three. But does make him a killer?
This was a quick read, engaging, and filled with the twists and turns of a good drama/suspense novel. Who to believe? What is real? This is a perfect read for a beach getaway or a weekend spent curled up with a book. This was my first read of a Michele Campbell book, but it has me looking forward to more.
I received an advance copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for my thoughts and review.

It is hard to review a book when you only like one character. And that character dies in the first chapter.
This opened well, but soon dragged. It wasn't a compelling read. I found the ending just OK.

THE WIFE WHO KNEW TO MUCH by Michele Campbell was a strange read. The beginning was remarkably interesting and promised a great read, but the middle was slow and became a bit repetitive. I am glad I persevere to the end because what started like a lamb, finished like a lion. What an ending!!! Not my favourite by this awesome author but still a great read if you are patient.

The Wife Who Knew Too Much is "My Fair Lady" with murder and suspense!
Tabitha's start as a pool girl, and then waitress, leaves her with little background and a lot of naivety as she moves into her new life as wife of multimillionaire (by virtue of his widower status), Connor Ford. But at what price? Now Tabitha is embroiled in a suspected murder and her past association with a drug dealer isn't doing a lot to help her proclaim her innocence. Adding to her trouble is a house full of staff with hidden loyalties, hidden pasts, and hidden secrets. So who can she trust? Can she even trust Connor, who proclaims his love for her even while acting suspiciously?
While I didn't like most of the characters and I felt that Tabitha was too trusting, the pace and suspense of the book made it a very enjoyable read. Even once you think you know what is going on, the author throws in a few twists and surprises at the end. Can't wait to read more by Michele Campbell!

"The Who Knew Too Much" is a suspenseful, fast paced mystery, which keeps the reader actively engaged. Michelle Campbell has written more than just a page turner, with a realistic plot that people can relate to with lots of surprise twists. It's a very well developed and thoughtfully written novel, which allows the story to flow and remain entertaining.
This is my first attempt at reading a Michelle Campbell and I was overwhelmingly surprised and more than satisfied. I would highly recommend this novel and I'm further encouraged to read prior novels by this author.
I want to thank NetGalley and St Martin’s Press for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Nina Leavitt had married the very wealthy Edward when he was 50 and she was 23. Sadly, he got sick but she lovingly nursed him until he died. A year later, she married Connor when she was 50 and he was 30. She was very wealthy and he was broke. Nina knows that Connor is in love with another woman, Tabitha, and that Connor only wants Nina’s money. She also believes that he wants to kill her.
Connor and Tabitha had known one another when they were teenagers. She came from a poor family and worked at the country club as a server where he and his family were members. It has been years since they have seen one another, so when he comes into a restaurant where she works, she is surprised. He just wants to see her again saying he never stopped loving her. However, he knows that Nina has people watching him and has to get back to her. Tabitha knows she mustn’t contact him, but tries to call him anyway. The calls go to voicemail.
Desperate to see him, Tabitha tries to sneak into a party that Nina and Connor are giving at their mansion on the water called Windswept. She is caught and questioned by the police. Later, Nina’s body is found in the pool. Was she killed or was it suicide?
When Connor finally responds to Tabitha’s calls, she tells him she is pregnant and they quickly get marred. She moves into Windswept but suspects there are those who want her gone. People think Connor killed Nina but Tabitha doesn’t believe it. Could the man she loves have done this?
I’m sure I’ve given out too many spoilers here but I want readers to know that this is a very compelling read with lots of action and intrigue. I liked the characters but found Tabitha to be much too naive. But that’s part of the story. Enjoy!

A roller coaster of a journey that will leave you holding on for dear life. I really enjoyed this book. Some might say it's similiar to gone girl but that's what I liked about it. This book will keep you hooked and although I didn't love the ending I still feel the author did a great job. The pace was planned out well and I enjoyed her writing style. I look forward to reading more from her in the future.

This book was certainly a page turner with lots of plot twists and turns. A solid read that kept me enthralled to the end. I didn't figure it out till the reveal.

If you read Michelle Campbell's A Stranger on the Beach, you are going to love her newest release! The Wife Who Knew Too Much is an edge of your seat thriller that will have you locked in from the very first sentence.
The story follows Tabitha, a 30 something divorcee with a string of bad luck. Until one night, her high school sweetheart, Connor, comes walking into the restaurant where she works. Connor is married to a very wealthy celebrity, but wants to leave his marriage. As sparks fly between Tabitha and Connor, things begin to unravel until Connor's wife is found dead in a pool.
This story is full of lies, betrayal, promises and so much more. I didn't connect with the characters as I had hoped which is why I didn't give it a five star rating. But you'll definitely want to add this one to your TBR pile! Released today so make sure to purchase your copy!
Thanks to St. Martin's Press and NetGalley for an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

A complex mystery in which the reader often wonders just who is "the good guy" (male or female) and who's lying. At the beginning, I thought, why would this wealthy woman be so foolish. why wouldn't she take precautions? But as the story unfolds, we discover that pretty much nothing is as it seems, and almost no one is "what you see is what you get." Nonetheless, I found the ending satisfying.

A good read, but not a great one. I was quickly drawn in by Nina’s opening diary entry and read thru the book quickly. I found the plot interesting enough but the characters left a little to be desired, especially Tabitha. She came across as naive and very immature. And Connor seemed to be just a spoiled man who never grew up! I’m a fan of Michele Campbell but this was not my favorite. Thank you for the ARC, I really appreciate it.

Michele Campbell has become a must read for me. From her flawless plotting to vivid characters you know you're in for an amazing read. The tension in her books just keeps ramping up and up until an explosive end. And this one is no different. An absolute perfect read. Happy reading!

4 stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I am officially a Michelle Campbell fan! Happy pub date to the perfect summer thriller!

2.5 stars
I loved Michelle Campbell’s first mystery and had high hopes for her newest release. The Wife Who Knew Too Much has a great opening hook that caught my attention, unfortunately, it didn’t hold it.
After the initial couple of chapters, the pace slowed down and the story as a whole took on an entirely different tone and style.
The writing is rudimentary and simplistic, lacking polish or sophistication. The characters seemed juvenile and naive, and their dialogue, interactions, behaviors and choices are unbelievable. There is an insta-lovey romance that I didn’t buy into, and the male love interest had major mood swings from cruel to adoring from page-to-page. In my opinion, the characters are not only unlikeable, but they are also lacking depth.
Most of plot elements that comprise the story are just ridiculous and wholly unrealistic. Towards the end of the story, the pace picks up and there is plenty of action, but it just felt too implausible, and as a result, I couldn’t take the story seriously.
All-in-all, this story didn’t deliver the level of writing, cleverness and credibility of other mysteries and thrillers being released and was therefore a disappointment.

From the first paragraph of “My husband is planning to kill me and he wants my money.” To the ending “We have everything we could ever need. Let’s do this.” I was pulled in. So many times I thought I had it figured out only to be wrong again. Lots of twists and turns.

Thank you to the @netgalley the author and publisher for this ebook in exchange for my honest review.

This is my first by Michele Campbell and definitely not last. The Wife Who Knew Too Much is as entertaining as a thriller suspense novel should be if not more. The author has a very beautiful way of leading you into her story and keeping you engaged and guessing while navigating through the drama, and deception. It was a very fast read with some plot twists that. you might or might not guess like me but you won't regret reading this one. I look forward to reading her other books.

The Wife Who Knew Too Much centered around the suspicious death of glamourous heiress Nina Levitt. Nina opens the first chapter writing in her diary to warn the police that if something should happen to her, she believes her husband killed her. Her husband is younger playboy Connor Ford who rose up the ranks through their marriage and stood to lose everything if he left her or cheated her (which of course he was cheating on her). A month after Nina’s death, Connor has already remarried and installs his new wife Tabitha in Nina’s home, surrounded by her former staff.
Tabitha was such a relatable protagonist from the very beginning. We meet Tabitha as she freaks out over seeing her ex walk into the restaurant she is waitressing at. More than a decade has passed since their summer fling and Connor strolls in clearly wealthy and successful, while Tabitha is grease-stained and sweaty serving tables at the local bar. Understandably, even if Tabitha was more accomplished, it’s so relatable to have a mini panic attack when someone from your past unexpectedly reappears. Tabitha was naïve and blinded by her obsession with Connor, but she also genuinely just wanted to be with him regardless of money or fame. I felt sorry for her and sympathized with her every time Connor let her down, even though I wanted to scream at her to get out of Windswept (the name of Nina’s mansion) and just go back to her small-town life.
I have to say – Connor was an idiot. He made me laugh and was endearing, but why would you move your new wife into the former one’s mansion before the police investigation is even complete? Did he really expect everyone to just go along with it because he didn’t want to give up the millions? Honestly, his obsession with the “good life” and Nina’s money was somewhat surprising considering his family history. His family’s demise came from their emphasis on status and material things, and that same accent on status was also the reason he had left Tabitha when they were teenagers. I was rooting for Connor and really wanted to see him grow as a person by realizing that money didn’t buy happiness.
The novel is written in short, digestible chapters that fluctuate between Nina and Tabitha – both charting their lives from the first time they each met Connor through to the present day. No one was who they said they were and it was such a captivating thriller that I sped through the chapters, devouring each chapter as I tried to figure out each character’s alliances and loyalty. The surprise ending was the perfect twist and definitely inspired me to pick up more of Michele Campbell’s stories!

This book captured my attention right from the start. The story follows a small-town waitress who is reunited with her long-lost first (and only), love. When he professes he is going to start the process of divorcing his well-known wife, the triangle quickly gets complicated.
The untimely death of his wife leads to a ton of questions, trials, and questioning about who she can trust and who she can’t. This book kept me guessing right until the end and was the perfect escape style reading!
