This took me way too long to get to and now I am kicking myself because I was really good.

I didn't figure it out and it's always good when you can figure out the ending! I thought it was fast-paced and a great thriller.

3 starts. Overall enjoyed it and will continue to pick up work by this author. Found parts of it a little predictable and the characters didn't feel like real people but can see these things being improved upon in later works.

I was looking forward to this one. I was all in until the ending which I felt could have been done better.

This book was trying to do too much at once, so much so that it almost felt like it was written by two different authors—one who wrote the beginning, and another one for the middle and the end. The first few chapters were entirely engaging and enticing, it was filled with information that felt like it would absolutely be relevant to later chapters. Spoiler alert: it wasn't. The narrative made a sharp turn into nonsensical, unbelievable, and downright ridiculous territory. Tabitha was an insufferable wreck, making highly illogical decisions left, right and center. At a point it almost started feeling like an insult to the reader—things were so glaringly obvious that it LITERALLY started feeling like an attack on my intelligence to be asked to believe it.

The last two-thirds of the book just had so little to do with the opening in both style and vibe, and I'm only rounding up my rating from a 2.5 because I enjoyed the beginning so much.

This is a roller coaster thriller of 2 marriages. One man, 2 women. One wife is dead, a new one enters the picture. Who is the victim, who is the villain, and what will be the truth? Only reading the book will give you the answers.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The Wife Who Knew to Much by Michele Campbell
***I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Special thanks to NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press for the opportunity to read this book.
When a book starts out with a letter saying if found dead it’s my husband who did it you know it’s gonna be good. Nina is a very wealthy woman, her husband of only a few years, is 20 years younger than she is. She’s never been quite sure what he’s more attracted to her or the lifestyle her wealth provides.
Tabitha, knew Connor when he was a teenager and they had a summer fling. They haven’t seen each other in 20 years when Connor walks into the restaurant that Tabatha is a waitress at. They’re fling start all over as if it had never stopped even though he’s married. When his trip ends he asks Tabatha to wait for him but when he goes back to Nina, he will hardly speak to her and then Nina ends up dead in what is believed to be a suicide.
Tabatha has been trying desperately to get ahold of Connor she’s pregnant with his child. They end up marrying just weeks after Nina’s death and that sends red flags. Just a few weeks into her new marriage, her world is about to be blown up when she’s arrested for Nina’s murder. All she knows for sure is that she didn’t kill Nina but she doesn’t know who did and who around her to trust.
I would consider this book a slow burn. So much happens in the last 25% or so that makes it hard to put it down once you get thru everyone’s backstory that’s so important in the end.

2 and a half stars raised to 3 stars for Goodreads. For most of the first half of this book; I didn't care for this book, but the last half or at least third raised the book to 3 stars. I loved the first 2 books by Michelle Campbell. I'm unsure if I will continue with this author's books. Since this is a thriller I don't want to say too much and give away a crucial part of the story.[ even after finishing this book, I don't feel 100% convinced that Connor didn't have something to do with Nina's death. (hide spoiler)]

I’ll tell you now this is a great book , because it’s a fantastic read, especially if you are like me and into psychological thrillers. I could write a lengthy and wordy review but if what I have written can say what I thought of this book then it’s long enough! Thank you for writing such great books!

I love the cover of this novel and the inside. "The Wife Who Knew Too Much" is an exciting novel by Michele Campbell. A page turner for sure.

It took me a while to read and review this book mostly because I had to keep starting over. I'd get to a point (each time a little farther) because it just started out so slowly that I couldn't stick with it and moved on to something else. Once I finally made it past the first 50 or so pages, it picked up and I eventually finished it hoping there would be some redemption of the book itself. Although the ending was okay, the book just never got any better for me. This was not a book that you could call a page-turner or suspenseful, although there was some mystery and a murdered dead body. It was a slow-moving love story with some twists and turns to keep what interest you might develop, but other than that kind of a letdown and the ending was predictable and as I mentioned before, just okay. It was a good effort though, and well written, just not the book I was expecting.

Tabitha was the hometown girl who had a summer fling with a boy named Connor. When the summer came to an end Connor went about his life but Tabitha held onto that hope of love for Connor. Fast forward quite a few years and Tabitha runs into Connor again. He is not only still good looking and charming but he is married and very rich. As time moves on Connors wife dies and leaves a cloud of suspicion. Tabitha decides that Connor is the one for her and they marry. But what she wasn't expecting was to find a diary from Connors first wife and she definitely was expecting what she read in the diary. This book is a hanging on by the seat of your pants read. Suspicion, romance, love and deadly consequences will keep you wondering why. Fabulous job done by Michele Campbell!

I liked the story of this book. But did not like any of the characters.

Tabitha Girard met Connor Ford when she was seventeen. She was a poor girl working at the country club where Connor and his family were vacationing for the summer. That had a fling that summer and Tabitha was in love with Connor, but he broke her heart. Years later she is still living in the same NH town and has never forgotten Connor. When he happens to show up again over the Memorial Day weekend and tells her that he has always loved her, Tabitha knows she should stay away from him (he is married). But Connor tells her that he is unhappy in his marriage, he only married the older very rich Nina Levitt for money and he has always loved Tabitha. After their weekend together Connor tells Tabitha that is he going to divorce Nina but it will take time. Because of their prenup, if Nina finds out about the affair he gets nothing in a divorce.
On the 4th of July Nina commits suicide and Connor is free to marry Tabitha. But all is not sunshine and roses. The police have reopened Nina’s case and is now investigating it as a murder and Tabitha finds herself right in the middle. When she finds a diary that Nina kept and reads “If I die unexpectedly, it was foul play, and Connor was behind it. Connor and her.” Tabitha does not know who to trust. Could Connor really have killed his wife? Who is the ‘her’ that Nina mentioned? Is there another woman in Connor’s life?

I liked the mystery of what happened to Nina and who was responsible. While I did figure a couple things out. There were a few twists and turns I did not expect. I did not trust anyone.

What got me though was the characters especially Tabitha. Oh how she got on my nerves. Okay she was head over heels in love with Connor, But OMG she was so gullible and stupid. Connor was such a jerk to her and even though she would get mad at him, she would then turn around and take his explanations he would give her.

I did like how the story wrapped up though.

This book was on the slower side, and honestly, I didn't care for any of the characters making it very hard to get into.

A fast and intriguing read that is full of mystery, romance and secrets. A girl, Tabitha, and a boy Connor, once sweethearts but they typical young love break up. Years later, Tabitha is still living in the same town and making ends meat. Connor is living the dream being married to a rich socialite and having everything he can dream of.

One day, Tabitha and Connor cross paths again and start reminiscing of days past and they find themselves attracted to one another. They decide to keep their relationship a secret so Connor's wife, Nina, doesn't find out and he can continue to live his lifestyle. Then one day, Nina's body is found dead in her own pool and the two find themselves as suspects. Their relationship no longer a secret but now they have bigger problems ahead. . . .

I was looking for a quick page turner for the summer and that much was delivered, A bit of whiplash with the speedy turn of plot twists that weren't all that mysterious. Overall this was an okay read for me.

I am sorry for not reviewing fully but I don’t have the time to read this at the moment. I believe that it wouldn't benefit you as a publisher or your book if I only skimmed it and wrote a rushed review. Again, I am sorry for not fully reviewing!

WOW... This book was a wild ride and I did not want to put it down.

This is a thriller. The main person we follow in this book is Tabitha. In this book we are trying to figure out who killed a very rich woman named Nina. Nina was married to Connor who is Tabitha new husband when she was killed. I am not going to say anything else about the plot, so I do not give anything away. The twist and turn kept me on the edged of my sit. I really did not guess any of them, but I guess part of one. Wow... My head is still spinning thinking of the ending because it was so good. I love this book so much. If you love family drama thrillers you may love this one. It starts out slow, but it picks up the pace very fast. I was kindly provided an e-copy of this book by the publisher or author via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I have since purchased a copy of this book and will be reading at my own pace. Michelle has become an auto buy author and is one of my favorite thriller authors.

This was a fun thriller and the short chapters made this a fast read. It had all the best elements, betrayal, death, drama, and love. As the story went on, I found it a bit too extra, some parts were unbelievable however, it didn’t take away from the plot too much. The story is told by Tabitha, and a few short chapters by Nina, which all pointed in one direction, until the dramatic twist… which was shocking! Overall, it’s a great, fast paced thriller!

Thank you, St. Martin’s Press, and netgallery for the ARC in exchange for a review.

The Wife Who Knew Too Much follows the story of Connor Ford and Tabitha. I wont say more. You find out a lot of info early on that explains it better than I could.

I enjoyed this story very much. The twists were raw and believable. The characters were hard to love but easy to root for. The only problem I had with this one was that the obsession/ paranoia of some of the character seemed a tad bit unrealistic. I really like Tabitha has a character at the end. In the beginning, I really disliked her but, as the story progressed. She grew on me. I thought that the way in which the story was written was very well done. I liked the description of each part of the story and the settings they took place in. Overall, I thought this was a very entertaining book that held my attention and enjoyed it.
